My boat ownership history : 1. 14' john boat. 2. 16' flats skiff 3. 17' center console bay boat 4. 21' walkaound offshore center console 4. 24' offshore catamaran center console 5. currently 22' Sailfish offshore center console I really like your new boat. Congrats. Subbed.
Lojo bro pickerel and pike are different fish the pickerel have the black line on there eye and that wavy pattern on there body where pike have a tiger striped tail and whitish dot patterned body
Came here to say this. Muskee, pike, pickerel are all different fish. They come from the same family tho I do believe. His boat is super sick tho and those are fun to catch
That is an awesome boat! Definitely recommend the backrest for the poling/casting platform. They are a game changer if you’re up there for any length of time. Enjoy it! Can’t wait to see the content filmed on her (legally of course 😉🤣)
My dad had a rowboat from the 60's that he had until about fifteen years ago with an even older Evinrude engine. He used to use it a lot. We built a rack over the top of the trailer were we could mount two canoes on top of the boat. He built the trailer using an axle from an old hay wagon so it had full sized tires on it. Then about two years ago he got his step dad's boat that was even older with a wrecked trailer. We have taken steel wool to the boat and then put fresh paint on it Meanwhile his nice bass boat just sits in the shed didn't even get used last year We took his and my canoes and turned them into a motorized catamaran with lawn chairs to sit on and a tiltable trailer. Makes it real easy to unload and reload it. Has a pulley system. It's cool having a retired engineer for a dad. He has the money and ideas and three sons to make stuff for him.
Love the boat layout and price point. Two people in my SWFL/ Cape Coral canal have Rhodan trolling motors and their motherboard inside keeps getting wet. Constant issues. They are too pricey to have so many issues. Like the boat, but Rhodan motor would be my only skepticism. Friends said Rhodan covered them warranty repair wise, but after warranty expires I would be concerned.
That Merc 60R is the cats meow. It lacks some top end but gets up quick. The throttle to drive response on it at any speed is remarkable for its size. I just sold my boat and 150 merc and now considering finding an older smaller boat to put a new 60R on it. The price is very fair on it as well. At the price, performance, and 9-10 mpg it’s up there for one of the better bang for your buck outboards.
Cool new boat. BTW Pickerel and Pike are not the same fish Pickerel only get around 24" and up to 5lbs,Northern Pike can get up to 60" and 55lbs. Although for some reason they do sometimes call Chain Pickerel, Southern Pike, Gator fish, Gunny or Slime Darts. All just nicknames.
You need some decking, LED lighting. Inside and out. Stereo and speakers. Marine radio and a Fire Extinguisher!! And some really good Spot/Driving lights
Umm…that “little spinning thing” on the steering wheel is called a “Suicide Knob” and was rampant on muscle cars in the 60s and early 70s until outlawed in some states. Fun tho’!
No no no….: It’s a NECKING KNOB. Frees up the right hand so you can drive with just the left while you’re arm is around your girl and you can get some kissing in as well so long as you keep one eye forward part (most) or the time. Yep. Necking knob. Only the haters called them suicide knobs in an effort to get them banned.
That is a poling platform, not a casting deck. Put the remote lanyard around your neck. You will get used to it. Far less chance it will go for a swim. If your boat ends up in Calif waters: 1. Throwable on boats 16' or larger {can't be stowed} 2. Wearable for each one on board. 3. Only boats with outboard AND portable fuel tank don't need an extinguisher. Fly fishing is a learned art. From the Googan group Weston is probably the most advanced. I am a stricly a fly guy. Your skiff would work well chasing stripers in the CA delta. Enjoy it LoJo! P.S. I operated a Sheriff boat in NorCal for 27 years.
Filet that pickerel, wash the fillets under running water folding them in half the long way and rubbing the flesh against itself to work out the slime and blood, flip over do other side. Salt, pepper, flour, fry. Watch out for Y bones as you eat... they will be towards the head end...
Just bought a new boat last year. I wouldn't even think about taking it out on the water until everything was in compliance. Glad he let you off with just a warning. Went out on the water many years ago with a game warden and a guy he was busting for too many lines grabbed an oar and tried to clobber the warden with it.
Logo!!!!!!!!!! The seat on the top of ur cooler should be considered a throwable. My buddy has a seat like that on his center console and it’s a throwable. Maybe take a look at it
My buds got 15:11 ft, remote troll up front with sonar, sonar on back with side radar both graphs mounted on left side , left side storage holds 8 plano trays of lures and miscellaneous. Right side has 6 poles and couple small trays for pliers , keys cell phone magnetic strips for lures just used or going on live well and storage up front had it for 25 years. Thinking about building a rack on right side under poles to hold about 10 tray of lures
congrats on new boat...looking forward to the fly fishing vids...Im originally from Clay Cnty AL but live in Wyoming now..my dad is a retired AL gamewarden also....
I mean the few new ranger boats and the gruman boat i bought all new all had fire extinguisher in it when i bought it…. You would think for the price you paid for that thing it should have came with a fire extinguisher
Anyone else catch how long Lojo was casting and reeling the crank in with the line wrapped in the hook keeper? Nice boat anyway can’t wait to see you make some awesome videos with it
You think it could use some trim tabs, it looks like it took a bit to get on plane. Nice boat, I like the deck layout, the thrust on the troll motor will hold you in current and I would recommend a jack plate so you can run shallow. Look into some trim tabs. I saltwater fly fish down in the shallow Texas bays and my boat can float in 3" but takes about 6" to run with the jack plate up. With the motor tilted up you should be able to pole in 6" of water and that looks like it would pole really well.
A centre-console like this is one of the most common types where I live (SE Queensland, Australia), but they tend to have more freeboard as they're more commonly used in saltwater, so deeper water and larger swells. In open water, bass boats are death traps. It'd be interesting for you to get Darrells take on your 'interaction'. Not saying you should film it or anything like that. Over here it's standard for a new boat to come fully kitted out and registered, legal and ready for the water, as part of the purchase price. Second-hand, it's on you.
Man, I’m actually in the market for a new boat and was super excited to find out that there was a local boat maker who is making some nice center consoles however, when you go to their website, there’s no prices it’s just hey call us contact us for pricing. It’s like no if I wanted to talk to the used car salesman to window shop that’s what I’ve done. If you have any contact with Alk2 powerboats please suggest to them that they might want to put prices on their website for their products because not everybody wants to sit and have a 20 or 30 minute conversation just to get the price of boat Love the video. Glad the guy only gave you a warning. Keep up the good work.
The platform is like a Florida backwater boat if you intend to do much river and shallow water fishing get yourself a aluminium pole to pole those areas. It will save your trolling moter and lower unit. The Pickerel was a great fish to christin the boat, since you do fish multi species trips. With that 50 racer it will also make a fun boat for skiing and tubing behind on family trips.
I have a remote control trolling motor on my boat as well. It’s a godsend when I’m fishing with my daughter because I can be anywhere in the boat helping her and still having full control
Always make sure you have the proper gear before hitting the water. Check local regs and make sure you have what you need. That being said nice boat and look forward to seeing future adventures.
Yikes man, 41k for that is shocking. Seems like a nice little boat but damn. I bought a 3 yr old loaded skeeter zx225 w/ 180hrs for 40k in 2018, it is crazy where prices have gone.
Hey man I love the new boat can’t wait for more videos with it! Also your license plate wasn’t blurred out at 22:40. Just trying to keep you safe Merry Christmas!
Like the boat!! Moved to NW FL and am looking to replace my Ranger as the water is completely opposite of where I fished for decades. I now need a shallow water boat. My Ranger drafts too much water. That platform would be great for bed fishing, too. Your boat is now baptized in blood. That guy was right. Done right, that chain pickeral tastes great. Btw-Pike aka Northern Pike get a lot bigger. They also taste great and both must be cleaned properly to deal with the bones.
Oh man, you could probably make some rad bow-fishing videos with that boat! More importantly though, when are you gonna announce that I win that Googan baitcaster?!?! ha ha ha🤣
ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE I am in love with this boat, even the color is stupendous! What in heaven's name are you going to do without it? It's awesome that you're going to give her away, but so sad that you won't have this dream anymore. If I win, you're welcome to come to Kansas and borrow her!
Well, you found a deficiency on the first fish caught, that is rope handles attract lures. My kayak with a rope handle has a 3 hook worm stuck to it lol. What a pia to remove tho fr
Nice boat, ive always wanted a boat just the family will not get in to a John boat that is in my current price range, this would be a awesome one to have if it was able to handle up 4 ppl
It's pretty basic stuff when boat owning. And yes register 1st doesn't matter how excited you are. Also most new engines have a break in speed for so many hrs. Also need trailer registered and should be insured.
sweet boat. You gotta start keeping those pike. they are excellent. Like that guy said, they are a little tricky to clean, they have "Y" bones, give one a shot sometime.
That is a fine looking boat there LOJO. It will help you make some awesome memories. Also, the pickerel or pike is for sure a fantastic tasting fish. Just ask Darrel
@@cordellbrouty6775 I was fairly certain of that but being up in Canada, I wasn’t sure the naming of species down south. But either way, pickerel and pike are both fantastic tasting.
They used to call that "spinny thing" on the steering wheel a "suicide knob". Popular back in the '1950s~'60s, you can imagine the problem if it comes OFF at the wrong time...!
Great boat lojo, but very affordable? Maybe for someone making the money you make, but not for blue collar workers. I have a Jon boat with a trolling motor. Can only dream of having such a nice bass boat. It works for me and my family. Can Wait to see your videos to come with it! She's a beauty!
I’m blue collar…I’m an ups driver. The price is a lot….but doable for sure. It’s all about where you put your intention. I can work five or six months of overtime, and have this boat paid off. Just with the overtime pay. So I would argue the point on being outta the price range for working class people. It’s all about where you put your paycheck, paying cash for stuff….not carrying more debt than a mortgage when at all possible…and I know that’s not always possible. Crap happens…it has to me. Been in debt…it happens…and man it sucks. But I hope if a boat like this ever excites you? You know you can make it a reality! It’s all about the grind baby! Tight lines! 👍
I’d pass on eating the chain pickerel…. They’re way high in mercury….not to mention the bone count! 💀 🦴 They aren’t worth the trouble of cleaning em if you ask me. If I gut hoot one? I’ve kept em…cleaned em, and used em for bait and cat food! 😂
Lojo, Pike and Pickerel are 2 completely different fish lol well not "completely" but they are different. Look right below their eye...Grass pickerel have a vertical line (like a basses lateral) beneath it's eye. The ones without that are more than likely a northern Pike. And that guy is correct, they're good eating fish especially the size you caught
I have a 24 alk2 18crs and have had nothing but problems. Was hoping it would be a great boat but it’s just missing on many parts. I have had to take the boat back to the dealer 5 times now and working on number 6 and that’s ridiculous for a new boat. If anyone is looking into ALK2 be careful and deep dive into it.
Y’all like the new boat??
You should take the other boat to a tournament
Yes I love it
💯 😂
The new boat is absolutely amazing!! Amazing video LOJO keep up the amazing work.
Everglades trip
My boat ownership history : 1. 14' john boat. 2. 16' flats skiff 3. 17' center console bay boat 4. 21' walkaound offshore center console 4. 24' offshore catamaran center console 5. currently 22' Sailfish offshore center console I really like your new boat. Congrats. Subbed.

Nice one man. Love everything about. Happy for ya. Should definitely get you back into the skinny water. Good luck and tight lines.
Beautiful boat! Well deserved for one of my favorite TH-camrs. May your lines be tight always!
Throwable and fire extinguisher? That's on you brah, your responsibility to know the laws. Love the boat! Intercoastal red fish machine.
That is an awesome boat! Definitely recommend the backrest for the poling/casting platform. They are a game changer if you’re up there for any length of time. Enjoy it! Can’t wait to see the content filmed on her (legally of course 😉🤣)
Awesome LOJO Congrats on the new Boat .. When I first saw it I was like I would name it the Green Maverick ..Yall stay safe and Keep’em coming 👍👍👍👍

That’s a great lesson in knowing a dollar and using your God given ingenuity! Thank you for sharing that story! 👍 tight lines
she’s a beaut!! googan green too🔥🔥

It's so nice to see land owners not yelling about people fishing. Congrats on the new boat!
No way dude!! I didn't know you were so close to my house. I personally know that game warden! So cool!!!!!
Cool boat!! 👍 Merry Christmas LoJo hope you and your family have a Great one!!
The boat is RAD. Wife and I looking at moving down to Alabama ….definitely looking forward to their potential bass boat!
The seat cushion on the front is probably a built-in throwable
That Merc 60R is the cats meow. It lacks some top end but gets up quick. The throttle to drive response on it at any speed is remarkable for its size. I've been eating Change pickle since I can remember... And i'm fifty seven years old , good eating fish
Northern Pike are really good to eat! Possibly even better than Walleye!
You need some decking, LED lighting. Inside and out. Stereo and speakers. Marine radio and a Fire Extinguisher!! And some really good Spot/Driving lights
Congrats on the new boat!!!
Looks awesome for some content can’t wait to see ya on that casting deck!!!
So you didn't have all the safety equipment required to have the boat on the water. Could you make it any easier?
That thing on the steering wheel is called a suwaside knob it was used a lot before power steering
Alabama inshore fishing for reds?, some Guntersville sends maybe some lakes you can park and hunt out of really nice boat
Congrats man. Had a CC for many years. Loved it.
Umm…that “little spinning thing” on the steering wheel is called a “Suicide Knob” and was rampant on muscle cars in the 60s and early 70s until outlawed in some states. Fun tho’!

The chicken nob was invented so that before power steering you can turn the car still have one on my John Deere tractor.
That boat is too sweet!Y'all are going to make some great content with her!
Please attach a boyant attachment to the keychain remote for the trolling motor.......a floating lanyard of any sort. Please 🙏
That is a poling platform, not a casting deck. Put the remote lanyard around your neck. You will get used to it. Far less chance it will go for a swim.

Man I wish you ayo n norm will settle things seeing yall 3 have a 1v1v1 on the boat will be amazing
Love the new boat... perfect for the fishing i do.. saltwater on the flats. Definitely gona look at them.
Logo!!!!!!!!!!
The seat on the top of ur cooler should be considered a throwable. My buddy has a seat like that on his center console and it’s a throwable. Maybe take a look at it
That guy was right about the pickerel
😂 CALLED IT! I saw your eyes light up in that video and KNEW you'd get one! That was a fire 🔥 video too. Googan Green no less .... Perfect!

Good looking boat. Can't wait to see what you have planned.
Id love to see spme fly fishing content, im going to try and learn next spring
I thought throwables were for 20’ and bigger. Also fire extinguisher for us is only if you have an inboard/outboard. That’s crazy!
Anyone else catch how long Lojo was casting and reeling the crank in with the line wrapped in the hook keeper? Nice boat anyway can’t wait to see you make some awesome videos with it
I did notice that, I'm thinking no way he didn't notice and that he must do it on purpose, maybe less birdnesting because it doesn't release as fast?
Nice flat’s design.. looks quick for sure …..dig the color
I been think about getting one of those kinda boats…. Looks badass LOJO!!!!!!
That boat is PURE AWESOMENESS man. Congrats
Love that green! Congrats on the new boat, looks awesome.
I love seeing other flats boats in bass tournaments. Mine rides better than almost any bass boat I’ve ever been in and fishes super comfortably!
You think it could use some trim tabs, it looks like it took a bit to get on plane. In the US this isn't classified as a "bass boat", it's a center console skiff. Much more designed for inshore saltwater fishing.
Take that thing into some brackish/mixed water and see how many fresh and how many salt water species you can get. For science.
The top of Mobile Bay where the deltas feed down into the saltwater would be perfect!
Pike are definitely good eating....tough to clean the Y bones out though
LOJO talk with LFG about fly fishing. Several of his videos with OneRod have included fly fishing.
cant wait until lojo gets a 200+ hp merc
Wow what a beauty! It's got to be awesome to have a brand new boat. Congratulations!
Man, I’m actually in the market for a new boat and was super excited to find out that there was a local boat maker who is making some nice center consoles however, when you go to their website, there’s no prices it’s just hey call us contact us for pricing. New boat is sick. Congrats on it & Merry Christmas. For the other boat you should give it to one of your subs as a Christmas gift 😊
Very sweet boat though my boy bad ass 😂😂😂
The platform is like a Florida backwater boat if you intend to do much river and shallow water fishing get yourself a aluminium pole to pole those areas. Awesome Boat Man Can't Wait For The Future Videos 💯
Make sure you do the break in on the new motor
Like the boat!! Moved to NW FL and am looking to replace my Ranger as the water is completely opposite of where I fished for decades. I now need a shallow water boat. My Ranger drafts too much water. That platform would be great for bed fishing, too. Your boat is now baptized in blood. That guy was right. Done right, that chain pickeral tastes great. Btw-Pike aka Northern Pike get a lot bigger. They also taste great and both must be cleaned properly to deal with the bones.
No matter if it is a new boat or not always be in compliance with safety regulations before you launch.
Wear your helmet and seatbelt.
Love the boat and that is a redfish catching machine! Gotta have a redfish vlog!
meery christmas and enjoy that bad larry!
At least the blood in the boat isn't yours...😅 Boat looks good. 👍
I love that boat. Its not too big or too small. Great video Lojo❤
Very cool boat. I grew up with a Mercury 55. The boat would cook so I'm sure that motor will send your flat bottom into flight mode.
Nice boat great vid as always can’t wait to see more
Oh man, you could probably make some rad bow-fishing videos with that boat! More importantly though, when are you gonna announce that I win that Googan baitcaster?!?! ha ha ha🤣
The new boat should’ve came with a fire extinguisher. I hope you like the new boat. It looks awesome.
Nice rig. Y’all gotta do some flats fly fishing for reds and snook off that thing. ✌️
Love the new boat bro
dope boat lojo its so sick. loved the vid. btw pickerel and pike are two different fish. :)
Well I will call your "you can borrow it anytime" and raise it by a voucher for a free meal.
Well, you found a deficiency on the first fish caught, that is rope handles attract lures.
My kayak with a rope handle has a 3 hook worm stuck to it lol.
What a pia to remove tho fr
Love the new boat!! Need to et that Giant Googan logo EVA Foam on the deck! You know you love that EVA on "Blue Betty"
100% need a Redfish fly fishing trip in that bad boy💪🏻
Nice boat, ive always wanted a boat just the family will not get in to a John boat that is in my current price range, this would be a awesome one to have if it was able to handle up 4 ppl
The boat bro, wow! It gives that awesome vibe like your channel! I always love watching your content!
The only thing I would like to add to that boat is a flotation stabilization ring around the gunwales.
Noodling with Hannah, saltwater fishing with Hooked on Brook
4:45 That's a polling platform but you can cast from there I guess
That is a fine looking boat there LOJO. It will help you make some awesome memories. Also, the pickerel or pike is for sure a fantastic tasting fish. Just ask Darrel
Chain pickerel and pike are completely different fish
And the pickerel meat is mushy, there trash feeders
@@cordellbrouty6775 I was fairly certain of that but being up in Canada, I wasn’t sure the naming of species down south. But either way, pickerel and pike are both fantastic tasting.
That’s a good drone pilot, I like the shots. 😊
They used to call that "spinny thing" on the steering wheel a "suicide knob". Popular back in the '1950s~'60s, you can imagine the problem if it comes OFF at the wrong time...!
Never getting that kayak sponsorship now lol
Looks like she gets up and boogies on water.! Love that 80 lb thrust trolling motor! All in all thinks it will be good for you/channel
Googan gang let's go been waiting on this video. And I'll take a reel anytime you want to give one
A pickerel is a pike but different from northern pike which most people just call pike. Some people call pickerel grass pike or southern pike.
