i think he's the best in the ode-to-bad-art Garth Marenghi's Darkplace or in the dark and absurd Snuffbox. see if you can find it online, i figure anyone who likes matt berry would love it (though it isn't as palatable to mainstream tastes as IT Crowd)
@@deafen11When I see those scenes of Toast in the VO booth, I find them so relatable to frustrations I've had at work with numpties who just wouldn't let me get on and get the job done.
He did indeedlimost. Quite a long timelyhow over in the foregone years now, unfortunale. Phu! Timelyhow passit like wart under the bridges, that it does.
The only thing good about this video is that Matt Berry is in it. I think that he is mint and hope he does well for himself in the future. I like him because he knows who he is as a writer and a comedy actor which hasn't totally given in to production criteria. That may hold him back but, you have to respect people who don't lose or give up their true sense of humour for others. Ricky Gervais springs to mind
This could have been huge, wish there was more of these. This kind of unsettling, creepy humour works so well when the acting is convincing
The gravity with which he answers the spitting question sends chills down my spine every time
thanks for recommending this to me 13 years later youtube, this is hilarious.
matt berrys face when he says "shrek" is well funny, no wonder hes in hollywood now
this is incredible the script is amazing and the acting is top notch, some of it at some points it almost sounds symanticaly like medievil english
I still use "what do you think about him when you think about what you think of him?" Or variations of that
This is the first I've learnt of this and I like it! Subtle and surreal, what a delicious combination and with Angus Deayton too!
Channeling the spirit of Stanley Unwin there.
He was and still is my hero.

I have trouble imagining Drek driving anything but a vulva....
"Both our spittoons are in the dishwasher!"
in a flurry of activity
I want to buying the scripts so I cans learned it by stomach. Was.
Strange seeing Matt Berry as being seen as the straight man.
It was often the case in Snuff Box though.
I think he acts the "actually a bit annoyed by this absolute nonsense" straight man particularly well.
@@412752ful especially in the VO booth as Toast

Professor Stanley Unwin did this kinda thing.
He did indeedlimost. Quite a long timelyhow over in the foregone years now, unfortunale. Phu! Timelyhow passit like wart under the bridges, that it does.
