I love my Prismscolors, and have pretty much most of the major brands. However, I bought the Muji’s some years ago, and they are truly awesome. They were really cheap, but the price had come up a little as people are catching on to them. It was quite a surprise just how nice they were. I find they have a bit of a slick feel as compared to the Prismscolors. I hated the Marco. renours, perhaps it was my set, but they were so brittle an crumbled when I tried to use them. I did a picture with them and after several years it is still bright, and had some nice colors.
It's weird to me that you actually put the Lyras as soft pencils, as they are really hard, even harder than the Polychromos, and oil based as well. I do agree on the Marco Renoirs, they are amazing, and they are exactly like the Bruynzeel Design, AAAND like the Master Klass ones (from the same brand that makes the White Nights watercolours). Prismacolors are a bit too soft for me, I for one am a big fan of the Polychromos. But I am curious about the Muji ones, never heard of them. All in all, nice review! :)
They're great! Prismacolors are great for the guaranteed information about lightfastness but if you're not too worried about that then the Muji ones are great.
Beret Nice hi, it's been a month since I taped my test paper on the sunniest window of my. I'm actually very impressed on how the Marco Renoir performed on the lightfastness test so far. Here's the result. photos.app.goo.gl/yPxGDek5M98OV1LT2 I will keep my test paper there for a few more months and come back with my result.
I have some, yes! I love them. Will be looking at those in another comparison series, as I consider them harder than the soft pencils that were in this series.
Hey! From what I understood, you implied Lyra can be bought open stock. Is that true? I own a set of 72 and completely adore them but can't find them open stock anywhere. There's some colors I really adore in those.
I found some on amazon uk: www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_8?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=lyra+rembrandt+polycolor&sprefix=lyra+rem%2Caps%2C182&crid=1B2SEO9UMDHJ9

Koh-i-noor amazing I prefer them over any brand besides caran dach. Those are the only two brands I use
You should try Castle Art. Soft and creamy but hold their point better than Prismacolor.

I hadn't hear of the Master Klass ones!
Great review! I personally use prismacolor but the muji pencils look really good too.
