The data speaks for itself. But before anyone runs off to try the "best deck", remember to pick one that works with your play expertise. A master with a "lesser" deck can crush a novice with the best. Acquaintance of mine has been struggling with adjusting to Tayam after having transitioning from Atraxa. The tournament that i played in a couple of weeks ago Sisay was EVERYWHERE. My win-n-in round was against TWO Sisay and a Magda. I played Tymna/Malcom and made top 16. Kinnan is a close second in popularity and then T&K.
Just got back from Punt City 3. Congrats to Eric for making it all the way to the finals. Hope you see my list that got me to 23rd place. It’s a spicy deck lol
@@LemorasCardsyeah, one ring over wheel of misfortune is the move for me, but mostly copied Allana on that. It got me 3rd at a 2k tho, we were like 2 cards different at that tourny
There are people who are, just not enough to show up in this video. Right now Rograkh/Thrasios looks likely to show up as a temur option in the next one.
The Tymna Kraum thing I think just requires a ban. Tymna is too good. I love her. But she is the reason there are literal zero Orzhov decks in cEdh and she’s the reason TnK is busted. It’s a shitty kind of busted too where there’s not much to do about it. How do you tech against card draw, Sheoldred 🤬stop playing Fuckin Sheoldred. Jesus.., seriously! “My opponents have less life when they kill me” .. “it sometimes makes a guy die” and “I have a higher life total when I lose” ARE NOT REASONS TO PLAY A CARD!! Just kill the goddam Tymna’s and Kraums. Yes it really is worth it. 🖖
So I have been playing Atraxa for a year straight now. I have it built in paper and love the deck. In my opinion it has fallen off because the base builds the only win con is thorcal, and low interaction. I personally have changed my build so that I can go fast if I need to. layered my win cons so if I lose one or two it doesn't matter. With the new build I can be aggressive with demonic consultation or tainted pact. Use one to get food chain on an endStep. As long as eternal scourge or misthallow got banished I can push for game when I untap. Fingers crossed I have my first tournament at the end of the month.
@@BDbiogamer I added hulbraker horror and walking ballista so if I'm storming off with chain. I can end on those for game along with Oracle. Also putting wheels in for your bowmasters and tithe. Endurance for loops with culling ritual to reuse all your rocks for infinite mana, and also can throw in bow masters to for infinite 1 damage etbs . Or silence and fairy master mind and draw them out. I personally don't like blind obedience but some people really like it and it also is an outlet for infinite damage.
If we listed purely off of current status as a deck trying to find a balance for conversion rate vs popularity, Rog/Si in this list would be around top 3. it starts to get a bit more opinionated trying to do that, though I'll probably post my take on a tier list on Twitter today.
Also, the new Magda makes it so once per turn you can make a treasure when you target something an opponent controls, so our maze of ith and hammerheim get even better! Card is pretty legit!
topdeck.gg/cowtownthrowdown this is the event, though it sold out immediately. Might be able to get lucky on the waiting list, or maybe just come by to hang out and catch games!
cEDH in general is very budget friendly in that almost all cEDH play is super proxy friendly. Beyond that, it can be tricky to build cEDH decks with "real" cards in a budget friendly way, but that also depends on your budget. Some lower color decks can be built with a few swaps that make it much more affordable, and even higher color ones can make swaps like running shocks over duals to bring the price down dramatically.
What are your budget recommendations for new players that want to try cedh? I mean the decks that work decent without the expensive mana rocks / lands. I'm building Temur Pirates but im open to suggestions :) Thanks a lot 😊
are you against playying with proxies ? A lot of tournaments are even 100% proxy friendly, so that might be a solution. If you are, it's kind of hard to be competitive without at least a few expensive cards unfortunately, but the og duals are not needed imo
I LOVE rowan, thats a fringe deck people want to work really bad. It's a high power deck that can tango with cEDH decks on god draws, but doesn't have the ability to hang due to low interaction, low responses to interaction and fragility. She's like a lot of "it sounds good" with very little ability to play a long game, stop interaction and even through cost reduction incredibly reliant on colored mana so can't be as turbo as like Kriik. She also always has a giant target on her, and every piece turning her on as fringe and unusual as they are, are basically giant flood lights saying "REMOVE ME OR MY LIFE TOTAL NOW" that just require "read the card" level threat assessment. No access to blue OR white makes her sadly pitifully easy to interact with. Very flexible decklists and cool win lines with her reductions but to me, she'll never be top 10 or even 20 but a niche undercurrent doing cool crap when people underestimate the deck (for some reason). Her ability only being Sorcery speed is IMO a huge part of why she'll never be a top deck.
Please do a part 2 of “Avoid these cEDH mistakes” video!
Definitely gonna do another similar video sometime soon!
@@LemorasCardscouldn’t second this more! Keep up the great work.
@@LemorasCardsyes please!
New Magda is an absolute house. She's an infinite treasure engine and a wincon through Null Rod. Thanks for highlighting our queen!
Have an updated moxfield decklist?
For sure!

One small suggestion for future videos: please add the deck number (ie for Kennrith being 18th) on the video overlay with the other stats.

Thank you! Love to hear that!
I think cEDH would be way more interesting with either no partners, or waaay more partners. Not enough diversity in the command zone
Najeela has a insane conversion rate if you think about how omnipresent orcbowmaster is. Also so many creatures compared to like 1-2 years ago
Yeah they've really had to change how they approach the deck and so far it's really working out for then.

Undercity sewers has been gas in rogsi. Talion is sweet too, probably gonna play it in my next tourney.
I dont have reps with Talion in the list but I've been on the ring and like it. Can confirm Sewers is super worth it.

Yeah it can put you in a tricky spot to be a Food Chain deck that still requires cards in your library to win. Good luck on your tournament!
What other win cons have you added? In my experience with the deck thus far I also don’t love how Thoracle is the only win condition

Rog/Si is turbo, why would anyone add midrange jank to it? Lol
You mean with adding Talion? Rog/Si is pretty focused on turboing out advantage engines, Talion is just another one of those.
So, rog/si should be higher on the list no? Unless this list is just a popularity contest and less about win % ?

Would they ever ban the pairing of t and k 55:00 together But no individual card
Seems super unlikely but sure would be a nice fix for cedh specifically.
Abzan Tymna so slept on ;) I'll keep it to myself for now
Why not just play Thrasios and get the best color? With Abzan you miss out on the two best colors.
would of loved to see what desklists with the decks so people who what to look for. Also would love to see a budget episodes.
