I am so stunned that my history class taught me more about George Washington, Napoleon, Queen Elizabeth, Winston Churchill and all other overseas leaders and never taught me enough about people like Thomas Sankara. Let me be honest, I just came across this video by accident and from where I am (South Africa) there is not much documented nor even said about leaders of his calibre and this was the first time I even heard that he existed. And from now on, I shall dig every piece of history about him...
Rest in peace, Son of Africa.

+Qhawe Teyise Our war in Africa is with VESTED INTERESTS and they certainly do not want many Thomas Sankaras running around in Africa with such esoteric ideas as good leadership, modesty, self sufficiency, respect, accountability and the likes.

where you were two years ago is exactly where i am two years later. This great man of Africa was never taught in the books of history in Kenya. I'm saddened, even our systems choose to omit such great people from the history. From now on, ill dig deeper into this man's past.

Although I agree with you, I think you all should said "One of the best leaders of Africa". You are very young and don't realize that before Sankara, there were Leaders that were like Sankara. They were killed before some of you were born. So please, do some research on some before saying that "Sankara best African leader"

Tomas Sankara was one of a kind. A true African hero. Burkina Faso lost a great man.
And Africa lost a great, young, bright, visionary and incorruptible leader and revolutionary.
A huge part of Africa died on the day that Sankara was betrayed and murdered by Blaise, with help from his French masters.
Sankara's blood will forever be cast upon Burkina Faso. Hopefully, his blood will serve to cleanse things for that country.

As long as Africans are not loyal to one another, this is what you get time and again. Thomas Sankara was told of his friend's plot to assassinate him but he did not believe it. Good people see no evil and hear no evil. RIP Sankara, you've done your best and history will judge all.

Great job Adeola! As Kenyan I feel that we have lost the unity of our leaders at independence. The spirit of Pan Africanism, our fraternal love and concern for our fellow African people needs to be revived! It's not too late to learn.

Thank you so much for the education I and the world has been missing. I first came across this clip of you on facebook talking about Thomas Sankara, I believe last year and because of you was able to do some more research on him. Unfortunately reading along with watching hour long documentaries is a big issue in our communities, however having you present the information the way you do makes it easier to educate the masses about this great African Leader and eventually we will have real econimical change. Thank you, you're truly amazing keep up the good work!

Hi Adeola, I love your show and I hope you see this comment. The last minute of the show actually saddens me as I don't know anything about those great people you mentioned. Could you do an episode on some of the great leaders of Africa or even an educational series about Africa's heroes, you know, the ones that should be in our history books. Did I mention that I love your show lol? Keep keeping it real!

Wouldn’t mind one here. I have opposing views of this man but his integrity is something to idolize.
