    Hi both, brilliantly explained, many thanks. Just changed the headlight bulb myself and saved about £50 by not taking it into the bike shop. ❤

    don`t forget to wipe greasy finger prints off glass of bulbs ( to prevent premature failure due to hotspots)

    Thank you for encouraging me. It was easy and maybe I did it correctly. As the big light is working again, I suppose even the big rubber-piece sits well on the bulb's end.

      Thanks Ali. I’m not sure about the box. It was on the bike when I bought it. It’s actually a Yamaha branded box, and quite small. I’d imagine any box could be made to fit though 👍

    Could You show how to install switch for Headlight (on/off)

    • @MechitBetter
      @MechitBetter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To meet manufacturing regulations here in the UK, I believe the headlight must be on at all times when the bike is running. The bike may fail it’s MOT if an on/off switch is fitted retrospectively. I’m not sure what the regulations are elsewhere. In any case I won’t be fitting a switch to mine, sorry!

    Hi there! I would just like to ask if I can replace the stock bulb of my suzuki address with a osram all season halogen h4 bulb? The spec of the said bulb is 12v 35/35 watts. Is it plug & play, no modification in electrical wing?tnx.

    • @MechitBetter
      @MechitBetter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should be plug and play I think. The dust boot at the back of the lens might need a little trimming, but nothing to worry about 👍

  • @matt060383
    @matt060383 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello, my front headlights don't work on low beam, but work just fine on high beam, should i change the bulb or there might be a different cause ?

    • @MechitBetter
      @MechitBetter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s very likely to be the bulb. The bulbs are cheap so I’d definitely change that first and see if that fixes things. If not, then further investigation required 👍

    can we replace this with a 100W h4 version? i cant get the 60W version in my area

    • @MechitBetter
      @MechitBetter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The standard headlight is only 35w I think, but some people run 55w and accept the risk of discolouring the lens with the extra heat generated. I’d say 100w will surely melt your headlight. It’s not something I’d recommend.

    I have a BWS 100, Thinking of getting a Suzuki Address 110. What would the pros and cons be? Is it worth changing?

    • @MechitBetter
      @MechitBetter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question. I’ve never seen or ridden a BWS100, so I couldn’t compare the two. All I can say is that I love the Suzuki Address. What are you looking for in a scooter? What do you want to achieve by changing? Perhaps I can answer better if I know that

    • @Subscriptionexperiment
      @Subscriptionexperiment 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looking for a reliable bike that I can keep for along time and that I can do alot of the maintanance myself. Im guessing that the address is very fuel efficient as I had the Honda vision which seems to be very similar, I got 40mm per litre on that. The bws is a 2 stroke and is heavy on juice. It hasn't been unreliable so far but I'm worried that the 2 stroke engine won't hold up as well as the 4 stroke.

    • @MechitBetter
      @MechitBetter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Address has been super reliable and really fuel efficient. I’m a member of a Facebook group for the Address and nobody has reported any major or regular problems. They seem really well made. I would definitely go for a 4 stroke if you want to keep the bike a while and for it to just work 👍
