The most astonishing thing to me about this piece isn’t the content of the parts, but rather, that not a single person has commented on the 4000’s runout 😳 …on a brand new engine. Seems as though the Motor Company has most very well trained.
I'm currently building up my 2020 107 roadglide. I'm installing quality non harley parts. First build was. 57mm aluminum throttle body I slightly smoothed out internally, S&S 475 cam, lifters, billet lifter guides , oil pump, bullet cam plate, inner cam bearing, quickie push rods, and 4.5 inch 2 into 1 side winder exhaust, bought the SO CALLED harley tuner for it. I also put a free flow intake box on it. On a hot day (95f) harley dyno tuned it to 104 hp, 113 torque. Not happy with the results. Power is definitely better from 3,000 rpm to 5,000 but that's it. Now I purchased the fuel motto 129 big bore kit, Thunder Max auto tuner, stage 1 fuel motto head porting for velocity verses mass volume as well as new springs for .588 lift. S&S Roller rockers with studs and head bolts. And a 62mm throttle body and intake. Hoping to really wake up the motor. Also installed stiffer clutch springs.
Chris' team upgraded my 110 Stage V w/an S&S cam chest including Zippers 577 cams, Thundermax tuner, Klockwerks 4.5" exhaust, and big flow header pipe...at Daytona Bike Week 2022 spring rally...my ultra limited is nothing short of stout...6 gal tank cruising 240 miles.
that seems like the best optoins available for that engine for reliability and unlocking it. Def will add those parts to a list for any m8 powered bike i may end up with. that cam sprocket, lifter retainers, and intake seem to be the best swaps right off of the showroom floor.
@boxoflube even on big bore builds. I have people telling me go to a f35 or bigger cam. But I feel I don't need to. I want a low grunt low compression bike I can rip on that won't have high compression issues besides a upgrade on the compensator or ramp. Beside all the clutch, cam plate etc stuff I did.
Hello great video, my question is this rs 468 camshaft can be installed on 114 with stock cylinder heads? My horse 2021 HD SGS 114, factory hi flow filter, Rinehart Racing 2-2 full exhaust system.
Nice. But in order for me to jump I would like to know original cost, parts & labor total AND what this rig can do in a quarter. All in one video. Can it shave a couple of seconds off of the stock time?
That's a pretty amazing combo of parts man.....shame those lifters get like that after so few miles. Do they all do that?....how about the 2022 107 m8 motors do they still have the same junk in them also?
my bike is a 22 street glide 114, and it has 250 miles, and its currently got something wrong. i believe its these POS lifters. What a shame for such a great bike.
@@Raaaay66 man honestly so am I but the 475 gives it that over lopy sound but it's torque power don't come on until about 40rpm and as far as I researched it loses torque on the bottom end (idk how true that is) I've just heard RS468 is an overall good cam bottom end torque gains so I'm also just stuck lol
Thanks for making and posting this video. Very informative. I was shocked to see the obvious visible wear on the OE lifters, specially with only 125 miles on them. I've purchased a S&S 465 [Torque] Cam Chest Kit for my '21RGS, haven't installed yet (but soon)...I have 2K miles on my bike right now. Running the S&S 2-1 Sidewinder (50 State version), Fuel Moto # 3956 Air Cleaner, Trask M8 Checkvent and tuned with DJet PV3-B (map by Lucas at FM). Not looking for big peak numbers here, just torque to come in early (1900-2000 rpm) and pull good (torque curve flat like a tabletop) well to 4000 rpm, perfect for 2-up riding around town and up in the curves in the hills out west here. Eventually, will probably do a 114-to-128 top end kit w/compression around 10.75:1 to go with the torque cam on the 91 octane pump gas here, stock heads for now. Wondering if I should get a 55mm metal (HD SE or S&S) Intake manifold or go to a 64mm Intake/TB setup now (w/114) or once I do the 128 top end? How do one determine what size Injectors to upgrade to? Much appreciated!
I'm running the Star Racing 30 / 30 cam, S+S cam plate, lifters, oil pump, tappet cuffs and the Trask checkm8 top cover, I did go with the S+S aluminum 55mm intake manifold b/c the OE is plastic, need to get rid of that, I too am curious about going to a larger TB and injectors, my bike is a 107ci and I was told that I do not have enough displacement to warrant larger / bigger TB and injectors, Fuel Moto has a chart / graph showing how much HP you need at the rear wheel to warrant larger injectors, mine are stock, although the HPI intake / TB combo is a sweet setup, any help / input or answers would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!!
I switched the HD a month ago from Indian. My bike is already up for sale to go back to Indian. I just cannot accept that I need to spend $1000's in upgrades to get "close to" the Indian stock performance. The tech on my pursuit was light years ahead of HD, I could even adjust my shock preload from the infotainment. Carplay and Android auto worked just by pairing Bluetooth; no need for a WHIM and HD branded headsets. Finally, PERFORMANCE; any HD rider that claims to beat an Indian without extensive modifications (over $10000) is sadly just flat out lying.
So, like more than a few owners of the ST with a 117, can we expect a little bit more? Like 125/135?? Have you done a GEAR DRIVE now that the runout is within spec's of .0004 ??

Got my Redshift 468 last summer and a Dyno Tune, my 107 is now 103 HP and 121 Torque, a GREAT difference compare to Harley Torque Cam

Why did you choose the Fueling cam plate and pump and not the S&S?
Can you give a quick comparison of the Fueling cam plate and oil pump vs S&S. I am thinking about buying the whole kit from S&S
Chris! How does the 468 perform with the d&d big bore? Im about to buy one from you, but i need to know i won't lose my diesel torque!
The 468 performs great on these M8s with a D&D 2-into-1. One of our favorite torque setups

yes
What would this setup do for a Road Glide St
Why cant we hear the bike run?

Knows his stuff….like to watch the videos
That guy does this work all the time. It’s what he does for a living.
I'm so torn between this 468 cam and the S&S 475. I have a 21 RKS
Same here man
But ultimately went with good Ole faithful s&s 475c
I'm literally on the same boat right now
LOL me too !!! been watching any video I can to help me make a choice!!! Leaning toward the 468.

@@luismontanez5097 check out the Star Racing 30 / 30 cam, has a very early close for low end torque, great all around cam
