@damsen978 sorry where did Brutal Legend touch you? Not liking the game is one thing but you have to be pretty simple to get "half ass rts" out of this. Bet you hit a skill ceiling. Lol
@@podcastnowbacktothepast there is/was a a demo for the vehicular combat game. It wasn't so much as a each but more a team v team battle. I will definitely by buying it.
Once I found out this was primarily an RTS game, I did lose a little interest. The mechanics were a bit janky to me and I wish it would’ve just honed in on the hack and slash gameplay.
I appreciate that they experimented and found a decent middle ground. They did a wonderful job making it not too strategy dependent and allowing the hack and slash gameplay to make up for some of the RTS elements that are lacking.
100%. It's extremely satisfying to get an army going, and getting them clashing, and then swoop in and either do hack and slash gameplay or face melt like 20 enemies lol
I also agree. I think the thing for me also was that the story comes to a full stop until you finish the Strategy parts and they could drag on a bit too long, and if you lose you have to start the entire battle all over again. But still such a excellemt and unique game. Theres nothing even remotely like it.
probably because the game didn't sell well, but then again given the developer is tim schafer and he is not known for making games that sell loads of copies, i don't doubt the man's ability of creating a good game at all, just the amount of games of his that literally flop commercially is pretty numerous, shame really.
I love strategy games, especially cool hybrids, so the whole thing came together perfect for me and I loved it from start to finish.
Well that's awesome! It's definitely one of the most unique games out there!

There's a Warhammer vehicular combat game coming out that looks exactly like the driving part.
O really?! The driving really surprised me how good it was

hi Podcast Now Back to The past
Once I found out this was primarily an RTS game, I did lose a little interest. The mechanics were a bit janky to me and I wish it would’ve just honed in on the hack and slash gameplay.
Yeah and it's not introduced right away either lol so you kinda get used to the hack and slash and then every other mission starts to become RTS lol.

Same the RTs parts turned me off of this game too

The glaring issue imho? There's no sequel.
That too lol. I swear I remember Jack Black talking about it once
