Now considered a classic rock-and-roll song, I Saw Her Standing There is reckoned by those who knew the Beatles in their early days to be one of the most representative of the Liverpool pop scene at the time.

This song is in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. No matter where i am, that 'One, two, three, FAW'' makes me drop everything and tune in. It rocks.

It was George Harrison's exceptional Lead Guitar solo and "Rockabilly" guitar fills throughout the song THAT MAKES THE WHOLE SONG!! Without that creation from Harrison, this song would just sound very simplistic musically. But Harrison's skill at injecting "Rockabilly" licks in this song, and also leaving in space (not playing too "busy") creates the cool vibe and classy musical styling .. that makes this song into something special -!

One of the ABSOLUTE GREATEST ROCK SONGS OF ALL TIME!
McCartney showing he's one of the GREATEST ROCK SINGERS EVER!
My favorite basic 'raw' rock and roll song.
On the first night out on a cruise ship headed to the Mexican Riviera, I sang "I Saw Her Standing There" at the start of the happy hour karaoke at the ship's main bar. There were about 150 people in the club and, even though the song is barely 3 minutes long, by the end of the song there were more than a dozen couples on the dance floor letting it all loose.
Keeping my focus on my singing, I wasn't ready for the excited response after I finished the song. Several people told me, "man, I could never sing that song, it's in too high a key." That surprised me; I had been singing that song for 40 years at that point and never had trouble hitting the notes. I had always gravitated to Paul's songs because I could sing along without any difficulty.
Those reactions that evening got me to thinking about the Beatles' songs; John, Paul and George were basically tenors and were radically different than Mick or Eric Burdon in the Animals who had that deep baritone voice that made his sound so authentic.
Good times on the cruise. The D.J. asked me to start the last night at the karaoke bar with "Get Back" which is a faster tempo with a wider range on the scale. Not as easy a song as "I Saw Her Standing There," but people had fun while I made it through.
In a lot of those old photos George clearly has a black eye on his left side. This resulted from a sucker punch at the Cavern from a fan who was angry that Ringo had replaced Pete Best. Not sure why it was George who had to suffer.
Proved they were rockers and not just a pop boyband ❤
Well narrated story, thank you. I still remember the thrill of hearing the opening bars to this song, track 1 of their debut, &, coincidentally, the first album I ever bought.
That 1-2-3-faa count changed my life. Literally. I think it set me on the course of being a musician, as well as pursuing a lot of other career endeavors.
It's also a great rock n roll dance song!🕺💃.📻🎶
Just the fact that they recorded that first album in one day is still quite the accomplishment
Yeh think maybe Dylan did his first in a day. They were all covers if I'm not mistaken? Please correct me if I'm mistaken 😊
Love Paul’s bass line for this one, granted I say that about a lot of Beatles songs haha. Good video as always man, don’t let the haters get to you!!
I don't know why this is so often referred to as a 'potboiler', it's as good a Rock and Roll song as anything else. They took everything they learned from American music and put it all in, George's playing is especially brilliant.👍👍
Best song ever!!!
This song is the best test of speed for bass players it’s all downstroke picking 🤘🏻
Agreed, pr.

Every time I hear that song it’s like a sparkle just turn everything into a great party where you can’t stop dancing!
Amazing how young they were. Especially George. Looks a little bit lost.
Magic. . .🎶💥
Fascinating but brush up a wee bit on the “ Liddypool Scouse”! 😊
It's terrible lol.
Even listening to someone from US Midwest 🥸
Please include a note whenever you use an AI voice
Everyone: Please note this is not Pauls voice on these clips. He may not have said any of what is said in this video
It’s an AI Paul voice
@@ToddLorencUkuleleMusic That's what I thought too! It's pretty obvious it is not really Paul, although the quotes themselves are probably true. I just hate AI, especially like this. It's like lying.
Lennon-McCartney Classic
The fourth word in the first song, on their debut album was a hidden 4 letter swear word; one, two, three fxxx!
I Saw Her Standing Here, There and Everywhere
Boy You're Gonna Carry That wEight Days a Week. LOL
@@rossdelain1645 Good one! 🤣 "One After Revolution 909"
One of late Paul's best vocals
RIP 1942-1966
@@rudolphguarnacci197oh do shut up!
10 minute version of this song??? That's crazy 😂
2+2= FAW!
This is not Paul McCartney's voice it is AI.
I think it’s guy who makes these videos putting a Paul AI voice changer over his own voice. It can’t hide accents (no disrespect).
Check out George's black eye
People think of John as the wise guy, but George at that time was more so. Apparently, the black eye came out of some of that " youthful" attitude.
Please please please tell me you’re not using AI for some of Paul’s recollections in this video
Regarding to their heights, at the pic at 1:09 , George looks really tall, taller than all of them...All this time, I thought Paul was the tallest...George even look bigger too...Was the pictured altered or paste together?..
John, Paul & George were all about 5'10". Ringo was 2" shorter.
paul was secretly a KAOS spy
"Their finding out about Bernard Purdie, QUICK perpetuate the songwriting myth!!!"
RIP Paul 1942-1966
What exactly does he mean?
AI voices?
Paul looked a lot different in 1962 🤔
_Before his so-called_ *DEATH?*
It's a myth, j?
All the best. R ☠ ⛎
I bet you did too.

Get help asap, man. Good luck.
@@elizabethfonseca922 Do some research like a side by side facial comparison with pre- 1967 biological Paul and the imposter. Don't be afraid.
@@mullhollandmace7271 seriously, my friend. See a doctor, a shrink.
Good luck. 🌹
Really?
Paul isn't dead

It’s so weird that you are using an AI “Paul McCartney” with your own accent. It’s very noticeable and weird. Rather then change your recorded voice to Paul McCartney you could have had to read the text. Now it just sounds like some weird “almost” Paul McCartney with a foreign accent that isn’t his. Why can’t you just have someone read the line from an obviously print interview? Or you just read it yourself? This detracts from the whole video.
🤔 Ask Paul re reality narration?
Easy to do. Trust me.
Stay free, Z. R 😎 👋
I agree. That is weird! And the song came out in 1963.
That obviously-not-Paul voice was a bit on the distracting side, I thought.
Mabye dub it Intoa British accent then into paul
Yeah. Maybe he should MOVE to Liverpool for a few years! Adopt the proper accent that all of you idiots can agree on by a special committee. Change it if you say he needs to, THEN record the narrative for this video! But YOU still won't be happy!
Paul's AI voice is scary. I don't like it.
f
Paul is sounding Old
AI voice not Paul's.
Stop with the horrible AI voices. It ruins the video.
Man, just go back to using that original voice. I have no idea why there were so many whiners out there.
That bookish black dude's voice was good and neutral.
AI is horrible
These accents are terrible
Obviously AI. Can we stop with this??? Why not use your own voice?? Huh??
