Earlier this year I composed a special solo guitar piece called 'Django's Dream' to perform at the Django Memorial Festival in Augsburg, Germany.
Django's Dream: • Robin Nolan - Solo Gyp...
I'm pleased to report that the concert went well and wanted
to share it with you too here on TH-cam.
The piece is inspired by Django but has some modern twists of my own
that I think you'll dig.
Check out the bit at 3:33 where I use a FREEZE pedal to add to the atmospheric vibe!
I'm playing my Polak Gypsy Guitar with Humbucker pickup through an AER amplifier
Please leave me a comment as I'd love to know what you think.
Stay Inspired!
Robin

With my own ears, I have heard some of the greatest gypsy musicians pay the highest compliment to another guitarist in their genre, and that is: " Robin Nolan has his own voice in our music, just ONE note, and I know that it is Robin Nolan playing". A classic example of that view, is this deeply moving, lyrical, imaginative, and respectful piece, played by Robin Nolan, in tribute to Django Reinhardt.

Weryyyy nice, grittings
@@dziedzicpruski2177 thank you!
did you get the freezer pedal? 😉Great as always. Did you try to freeze only one note but the whole chord?
@@oriolbarbera it freezes the whole chord or whatever you play… check 3:33 I still have to master it!
@@GypsyJazzSecrets on 3:33 you freeze a Em9 and play over E dorian. If you freeze only the E note (opened 6th) you can play phrygian or any mode and go back to dorian. Its just an idea. I love any music you play.
@@oriolbarbera yes perfect!
Hah haaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
@@allencottell4241 yeah!
