Yes they can eat high quality cat food but that alone is not enough for them. We feed ours a blend of really high quality cat food and ferret food as well as raw and cooked chicken and turkey, banana and yogurt and occasionally crickets as an enrichment treat. Pre-killed mice are also a good source of balanced nutrition.
I love how he pounces the camera at the end. They must be like having a really hyper semi-wild porch cat who loves to get into trouble! Also, what kind of odor do they leave behind? Is it an ammonia smell like a cat, or a musk like a fox or skunk? I may get one some day, if I can ever negotiate the permits in my state (you basically have to have your home federally licensed as a private zoo to keep exotic pets in Oregon).
MOST of them will use a litterbox. However they do not bury it like a cat will so unless you have an automatic litterbox you have to scoop it out every day. Out of all of the ones we have owned only one did not. He picked a corner in his outdoor enclosure on rocks he liked to use as his spot and he also sprayed unlike any of our other ones so he was definitely deemed an outdoor not indoor one. But he lives in a big walk in enclosure with sand and rocks, branches, hammocks and nest boxes.

It’s like a snake cat
How? They are mammals, not reptiles.
