I hate this implant... it could have been awesome! Sniping Technology Implant Deep Dive | Eve Echoes

Its not a secret... I'm not a fan of the sniping technology implant. For cannon users, the range and damage could have been awesome, but ultimately I just don't think its worth the investment. Today, I'll talk about why.
Update: On the day this vid is released, the devs have said they are going to balance implants and specifically called out sniping technologies. We'll see how that works out...

It has a niche use to pop frigates. It is relatively “cheep” in that you only have to level it to 15 to get all you want out of it. There are worse implants.

do the cannons have to be linked in order to get maximum damage on the alpha strike? or does focus fire with unlinked cannons do the same damage?

Stacks reseting seems strange. It should top up and stay at max as long as active ability is running.

yeah, didn't really make sense the way its laid out. Even just going back up after the first would be nice but to completely reset and then not be able to do anything? just odd

Agreed. This is my only issue with it. Other than that, im 1shoting daredevils with my nado at 700+ km. Love it. Not to mention i can get like 3k or more dps from my drams.

You can get a max of about 60% more dps from capital strike cannons and a maxed implant.

Waiting for the 'adjusted' version of the implant, hope the Devs do a better job as with the focus crystal/support projection.
Good way would be if it would shut down after u fire or reach 0, when choosen the 50%reduction, with a slightly longer reactivation time.
On the other hand, I will try focus crystal on my Logi with 1small beam, when i get it, hitting another Logi wich I constantly heal just to see how far down i can bring the cycle time 😋(Drake and 'Cane)

You can one shot battlecruisers with lvl 15 + mach at 200 KM. I would argue it is not the worst.

You may be able to one shot a BC, but in my testing it’s tough to do that if they have any kind of tank. And if you don’t one shot it, they can just warp away. To me, just not worth the investment but if you enjoy it, by all means! Most important thing is that you’re having fun :)

If you're a sniper and can't one shot frigates even without any implants, you're doing something terribly wrong.

I oneblapped lots of inties with drams with it :)
I also deal 60k hits with a mach. That means that two machs already oneshot any sniping bc

Oh for sure. Again, it’s great for sniping frigs. I would just like a bit more utility out of such an expensive implant lol. It can definitely be a ton of fun though

The ultimate tool against gate camps spool before warping, land 1 shot any hictor or battle cruser from 150km with a mach stabber trainer 1 shots faction frigs at 60km hit inertia warp off the most fun implant I have camp my system I have 15 safes to pop you off the gate is it limit yes but used right the most dangerous implant there is especial ly shooting people off low sec gates 😂
