They had a sound technician that were quite a pioneer on some point in the mixing and using the technology available. His name is Michael B. Tretow. In comparison with a lot of the bands at that time, they sounded fresh and with new sound ideas.

As for production, maybe you should look into Michael B. Treatow and the 'Wall of Sound'. Based on his work (with ABBA and other projects), a revolution occurred in musical production, especially in 'very small' Sweden. Love this song (too😊)! Maybe you should be react to this song, but the ERASURE version... Take care ... ✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
Hey great song great reaction. One of my favorites from ABBA. Please please 🙏 do their song "Hey Hey Helen " live from 1975. It's an awesome rock anthem. You really need to see them live.
The story about the rythm of this song is that Benny Anderson was walking with a bundle of keys in his pocket and that got him inspired to the take a chance take a chance Rythm
I heard this explained once, and I'll try to rehash it. Their voices were recorded and then in production overlaid a fraction of a second apart, creating a richness and depth to their voice over voice sound. There's probably a word for this but I'm not an expert.
They recorded multiple backing vocals and harmonies. Also many times The voices of the girls blended and complimented each other so perfectly that they produced what the specialists called a "third voice".Some couldn't even clear out who was who.Benny was a fab arranger and said in a recent interview, that both girs were very patient hard workers, they could sit all day there for the guys doing what they were told, to try(practising on harmonies, trying vocal paths, urging their vocal ranges and stuff).Plus their sound engineer M.Tretow was a genius and he obviously had the best tools to work with. These 2 fantastic vocalists and some good studio.
@@alexioverdo5225 True,Also many times both ladies shared ideas in the making of their songs during the proccess.Let's not forget that Agnetha was also a former songwritter before joining Abba and a good pianist.Frida was an experienced jazz singer singing with bands since her very early teens and technically great too.
Thx, but please stop cutting as often and go back if you intervene. They recorded the girls' voices several times and they superimposed by shifting the tone of a track very very slightly from the girls' voices, that's what gives this thickness and relevance in the vocals, but it makes the whole thing not only richer, but also higher. And sometimes they seemed to me to increase, to accelerate the rhythm of the final recording. Same consequence,It makes everything more acute, up to the access on "hole in your soul" (rock) in particular, which I love though.
Due to the fact you appreciate the songs of ABBA, you really need to see the film “ Mamma Mia “ It is a really good feel good film featuring the songs you have reacted to. There are 2 films make sure you watch them in the right order. It’s great seeing you enjoy them. 😊👍🏾
as a passionate lifelong Abba fan (since 1975) i'm not in the least interested in the "Mamma Mia" franchise Cos i only really want the brilliant Abba songs performed by ABBA themselves☀️ (not by meryl streep, julie walters, cher or whomever else) But if you do love "Mamma Mia" - good for you!🍀
Hey Lil mann how come you rapper have developed an interest on classic bands like Abba,Bee Gees Carpenters etc,They are totally different genre from what you are into?(of course you're not the only one, some other hipphopers, rappers have developed an interest to such stuff).🙂
Great question im from the inner city, where you have to worrie about surviving everyday i was never exsposed to this music coming up when i finally moved out the city life moved slower for me so i started a youtube channel for my music but as time went on it turned to a reaction channel and the creativity that goes into these old groups blew my mind and i love getting inspiration from exploring new genre.

Dude. This is ABBA. They CAN sing.
Abba were the only group recording rhe songs in the way that they did, and were the first to use digital recording
Digital only with The Visitors Album
Abba - sing, write, etc they to it all.
That song reached number 3 on bilboard hot 100 in U. S.! Their second highest succes in U. S. after "dancing queen" (number 1)❤
The sales for Take A Chance on Me outsold Dancing Queen, it is a shame it didn’t make it to #1
Summer night city👍

So nice to see you again reaction to more ABBA songs in your ABBA Journey
"Take a chance on me" (1978)
is one of their best ABBA hits in all the world,
the most selling song of ABBA in U.S. (more than Dancing Queen),
#3 in Billboard U.S.
one of their four Top10 in US :
#6 Waterloo (1974)
#1 Dancing Queen (1977)
#3 Take a chance on me (1978)
#8 The winner takes it all (1981)
This is one of few song than the vocals are more extensive than the music
(They begin 'a capela' and singing at the end)
the blonde singer Agnetha is the lead vocal in the solo verses, her voice is so powerful,
in perfect armonies and chorus with the brunette Anni Frid in co-leads vocal
(and the boys in back voices singing repetitive the frase 'take a chance, chance')
Agnetha & Anni Frid have fantastic voices and harmonies together
Agnetha is soprano
Anni Frid is mezzo soprano
and together made a 'third voice'
the guitarist Björn got the idea while jogging,
by the sound of the footsteps he interpreted t-k-t t-kt
and adapted it to
"take a chance, chance, take a chance",
so the song was born
Although it is a disco europop, it's like a constant and happy march, captivating, cloying, addictive
if I could give You a suggestion for next reaction, take a review of all "ABBA The Álbum"

Could tell you liked that. Great song yet again.
They stacked layers of vocals at slightly different speed among other techniques. They had a great sound engineer
As for production, maybe you should look into Michael B. Treatow and the 'Wall of Sound'. Based on his work (with ABBA and other projects), a revolution occurred in musical production, especially in 'very small' Sweden.

That was Bjorn when he was out jogging that had the inspiration, nothing to do with keys. He even ran the Stockholm marathon at one stage.
The bridge sounds almost like Blondie.

80's brit syth pop band Erasure did a ABBA ep.
They did this song including a copy of the video.

Don't forget 90's Aussie film Muriel's wedding where the lead uses ABBA songs as an emotional crutch.
