Amazing to see such a cool shout out for comickkrakk! He’s such a great guy, I’ve known him for years and he has amazing taste in indie and underground. We used to do a weekly live video together for a year or two (he still does it with Lahrasa, who’s also amazing) before I stopped making videos. I miss my weekly chat with them both, he always opened my eyes to things I’d never seen before.
I am happy to have found his channel, I really enjoy fun indie and underground comics so his channel is super fun for me. And since he inspired me to buy some amazing books I figured I should give him a nice shoutout.
I've never seen this man before in my life. ;) The good Doctor here is THE reason we do our weekly comic chat live streams. If it wasn't for him setting a fire under our butts during the pandemic (which I think was so very much needed during those times), we probably wouldn't have even started. I can't believe how many comics you have purchased over the last few videos. Wouldn't be surprised if you spend more than you make.
I have been selling off my Funko Pop Collection over the last year to fund comics, so yeah I have had a larger then normal comic budget.

The second signature on that comic is probably Walt Flanagan. Works at the secret stash for Kevin, and worked on the book I think.

I just got #1 and #2 of that Dr. Strange "Fall Sunrise" comic (at 31:40). It's got art by Trad Moore (and coloring by his wife), and it is BEAUTIFUL. You'll definitely have to check that one out!

Yeah they were decent shape with fun covers, very happy with them. And yeah completely a rare Golden/Atomic Age run is amazing. Things like that you never think you will finish.

Yeah I found myself hooked on all 30 days of his 30 day shorts, watched them all in one sitting and immediately bought the ones that caught my eye that I did not own. I love comic channels like that, thank you so much for recommending.

I love your enthusiasm and willingness to show love for comics that are less than 9.8's or 9.4. Now days it seems like people think wonderful books from the 60's and 70's are trash if they are not 8.0 or better. I was wondering if you ever do trades for comics. I'm open to selling some stuff, or maybe get a little more value on swaps. Not sure. I have about 7 long boxes from the 90's, (I know) but some of them are really starting to show a little value. Have 5 long boxes of modern (last 4-5 yrs.) Also have around 12 long boxes of stuff from the 60's and mostly 70's. A handful of beater golden age, and a few short boxes of magazines like Treasury editions, CarToons, Savage Sward of Conan, Monster type, nice little runs of Creepy and Eerie. Stuff like that. Also, some indie stuff. Give me a shout out if you want to open up some dialog.
The older the book, you just have to except that if you want to enjoy them within a budget that a 5.0 is a lovely grade that is way more affordable then a 8.0 plus you can open it up and read it and enjoy it without fear or loosing a ton of cash if you accidentally add a crease etc. As for trades, I have done trades but I tend to find them difficult to do. Send me some pics of the golden age stuff on IG and a general idea of what you are looking for. My ig is Pop Fun To Play

You wanted me to put the suggestion for you for a manga series. It's called "Witch hat atelier" it's by Kamome Shirahama. It's up to volume 11 and the creator has just started a spin off, but i haven't read that yet.

What’s your comic book goal? Do you have certain runs that you want to complete? Or has it become more of a business?
Goal, to get all the comics for the best price lol but I usually have a few main runs I am focusing on at any one time. I tend to hunt for the best deal then for any one specific book when I am looking for comics.
black panther 1 and new avengers were newsstands, some value for 2005 books on that alone

If you like girder-oriented stories you need to check-out HOWARD THE DUCK #3 (The Master of Quack Fu) THere's a battle on girders. It feel like a Warner Bros cartoon. It mabe either the first Gene Colan issued or the last Frank Brunner?

Thats a lot of great Manga, Honestly probably the type of stuff I like the most. I think I actually have most of that and have read half of it. Tatsumi might be the only thing I am not aware of, will have to look it up.
