I've been collecting comics for about 30 years now and 3 years ago I lost 95% of my collection. It was devastating. I just started collecting again and it's been tough. Wish I could come across a good deal like this. I have 7 kids and work 2 jobs to survive. Hopefully one of these days I'll get lucky for once and come across a good find like this

The first time I saw that book was on your show and I ran into it at a comic store I don't usually go to and I found it and got it for 33 cents! The first time I ever saw the comic book was on your show ....fun stuff. # 22

The midtown outlet has a pattern every weekend to their sales. Usually its 25% off everything, 40% percent off back issues, 50% off 99 cent books and then up to 60% off depending on how much you buy. There are exceptions on wall books, 99 cent books for the sales. Sometimes they have 25% off wall books. Thanks for the video and some of the books you picked up, I went back the next weekend and bought *edit* (some of the same books). Watching the haul video helped lol.

I watch the show but it took me three or four different times but I enjoyed it . I see a book that I like I freeze the frame get the number and look it up somewhere and try to get it I did that with a couple of space books.
I understand the dislike for 90s image haha its like 90s sports cards. But dang everytime u say something it hits me haha. I have a special place for 90s image as those are the comics that really got me into comics as a kid. I have never looked back since i bought my first issue youngblood 1 i now actually have that same issue signed haha.
Yeah people can enjoy and love whatever comics they love no judgement from me. And if they are the comics you read as a kid they will be nostalgia level 10000 for you which no one can defeat. Personally it just reminds me of an era where it felt like the overall productions fell apart, artist trying to make comics without writers. Cover prices sky rocketing through the roof. And everything over printed. Right now I think I have 20-30 NM Youngblood #1 issues in my shop with no interest from anyone in buying them. So yeah I am overloaded with stuff from that era and I see it in every dollar bin and every junk collection etc. I already own it and cannot sell it so I dont need more of it. People still leave comments mad at me for not grabbing stuff like Darker Image #1 but again I have too much of it and I cannot sell it and It remind me of the era that made me quit comics. So its hard for me to get excited for them lol I still get really excited when I find a Spawn over #100 for cheap, now those books are rare, worth something, sell and I still need a bunch.
It’s so shocking Sean to see so many recent books that I have purchased at cover price already reduced to a dollar! I have to be more patient when buying new releases and learn to wait a couple of months. I saw a lot of great cover buys for a dollar!! 👍
I have April through August Marvel tales of the Marine Corps simpler simplify 1989. I have 123456 of them. They’re in perfect shape. They’re in plastic and I also have a heat clip book one that’s color like plastic page and the other three are old paper ones and I have a Chippendale one and a Dennis the Menace one and the cast for the ghostcouple of mine in great shape but I’m a single mile. I’m trying to just get rid of them I also have these lights hang on the wall. I was just wondering if maybe you knew where I.
Am I the only one that noticed at 20:37 the cover of Mech Cadet Yu #8 and House of Slaughter #1 are almost the exact same cover?!? What is that all about?
Nice but what do you do with all those comics? You can’t eat hundreds of boxes of comic books. Are you reselling them at price book value? Do you spend all your limited free time pouring over your collection? I have about 16 short boxes and many times have bought issues that I forgot I already have. I’m up in age and wonder if I’ll ever get back any of the money I spent on these comics. Does that make sense? How do you get some of your money back?
It might sound crazy but in the case of this video, the video itself made more then what I spent on the comics. There are many values in having comics, if you bought them to read and enjoy then that is where the value is, whatever you get back later on is a bonus. I like to buy the comics I enjoy for the best cheapest price I can so I don't have to worry so much about a loss or selling them later on to get my money back. Because I get everything cheap I only have to sell a small portion at $3-$4 each and it pays for everything. I do end up selling my duplicates and I work on pulling out enough things from what I buy to cover what I keep so in the long run I have no money in it so no anxiety of trying to get money out of something that I already broke even on. I do spent a ton of time with my comics, I love it.

I just never liked the artwork, was not appealing to me at all. But I mostly say Meah because it is so common and I already have too many copies of every issue. I don't want more that I either have to throw away or store in a box for decades because its not sellable and I already have copies.
I tried that before, I did a long key issue series in October you can watch. I split it up into 14 parts and they barely got watched. And then I did a combined video that has tons of views. Sadly the shorter segments don't get promoted by the algorithm very well. I might try to do it again in segments in the future, but for now the long format seems to be what gets watched.

I know this maybe be out of your wheel house but I am desperate to take care of my Japanese manga comic collection.
Sure I will do something like that eventually. They do make manga sized storage bags like comic bags. And they make boxes that you can put your manga into spine up. I plan on buying a bunch to store my manga this spring. You can look into it on the bcwdirect site.

These were from a local shop that has super deal prices. You just have to find some local comic shops that have a really good dollar bin.
