How to Check if MS17 010 is installed Wannacry Ransomware Patch
A while ago Microsoft has released various KB patches to fix Wannacry Ransomware this was for the MS17-010 bulletin. You can check to see if these are install using the useful powershell script.

I appreciate your helpful pointers. Had 3 encounters with ransomeware. Being computer illiterate didn't help. First one I managed to get into properties and make virus a read only file. It took a while to work out a fix after that. But it was doable. 2nd time, read only maneuver was my first defense again, but they duped me into thinking I had been able to contact the helpdesk from software provider. I allowed them remote access. When I realized the scam, I broke the internet connection manually. I had only had the computer for 3 days so there was no data loss worry. I rebooted to factory after trial and error. Lesson learned: I now use 4 antivirus programs and manually check status frequently.

I'm running Windows 10 version 1709. The MS17-010 Microsoft Support article. Claims that this does not apply to this version of windows. To your knowledge, is this correct?
However,
I still ran the script anyway.
When running it. There were many terms within the script, which were not recognized and files it was looking for, that don't exist.

According to the MS17-010 Microsoft Support article.

I too have read this article in it's entirety and have come to the same conclusion.
I was wanting to have this confirmed by Britec.
To be sure that this is indeed the case, concerning Windows version 1709 and the results after running this script.

script just tosses out errors for me
im on windows 7 btw
(and yes I did run it in power-shell)

Last month I posted on the forum about my Windows 7 laptop and not being able to install the March 2018 roll-up. The April 2018 security updated installed without a problem

Hi Britec My system shows up dating but doesn't update and some time shut down. I have bitlock on and checked my memory. The memory is good. any ideal what i could be? Could it be ransomeware?
