As usual, great video Big Ed. You upkeep your LSG Offset similar to the way I do mine. I like to clean mine at least a few day after a big cook to ensure she is ready to roll for the next one, instead of investing that time right before. Thanks for the tip with the blower. I need to invest in one of thse myself.

Nice pit! I have the LSG 20x42 offset, and I clean mine similarly as you. One good thing about the 20x42, I have no tuning plates to deal with, because mine has cross-flow technology.

Yessir!! The 20x42 is a beautiful rig and cross flow tech is definitely a plus. There are times I wish I went with a traditional pit but I needed the space as I cater here and there. These LSG’s are great in all styles and I don’t know why cleaning this thing is so relaxing to me. Maybe it’s the blue collar worker in me😂😂 I definitely thank you for the kind comment and checking out the content. Have a great weekend and God bless you. Smoke On 💨 💨

Great video! Thanks for the tips. I just ordered a Texas brush. Your smoker still looks brand new! I just got a 24” vertical LSG used and restored it. Do you cover your LSG? Do you season the outside of it with oil?

Happy Holidays and thanks for watching. I keep my smoker uncovered 365 days a year with my stacks and damper 1/4 open. If it rains I close my stacks all the way to prevent water from getting in the chamber and reopen them with the weather clears. I keep the outside conditioned with mineral oil about every 2 months and this thing looks still looks practically new. I bought a golf cart cover to protect it but then realized if I spent thousands on this thing so it better be able to withstand this measly So. California weather😂😂. Hope this helps. Peace and blessings to you and yours.

The LSG cover is too expensive for a cover, so I got a tarp. With your grill looking so great, I’ll worry less leaving it uncovered!
I keep hearing about mineral oil and my try it. The smoke point is lower than alot of other oils, though. Can you share the pros of mineral oil?
