Love your attention to detail and how thoroughly you research mods! Very helpful to the Tacoma community.
Thanks! I do try to make the best choice for what we're looking to do and that leads to a good amount of research. BTW, I'll have a video coming pretty soon on the rail tie downs. It's shot just need to edit it and decide where to slot it in.
Nice video.. I also added the Toyota rock sliders. I have a camper on order due in August, I think it weights about 310 lbs and I am concern with the rear sagging. I am going to start looking at the Trailhunter rear coils to replace the OR ones. I need to talk to my local dealer to see how much stiffer they are to hold the weight of an over land build. I am looking forward to seeing what you do for your suspension .
That's super cool. Yeah, I'm not sure what we'll do yet either I have lots of thoughts though. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Keep me posted on what you learn with the TH suspension parts too.
Hi Ben. Thanks for the great content. Could you please give an idea of how far the Trailhunter rock rails stick out? In terms of using them as a step. Many thanks.
You can get your toes on them and that's about it, I'll try and get a measurement in a future video. They don't stick out much at all.
Hi, awesome adding the Trailhunter rock rails! Did you have to purchase separately the hardware kit, gusset cover, and end cap?
I didn't, everything came in the box. Thanks for the question!
Lots of cool places in CO to go. Hit the Collegiate Peaks area sometime if you get a chance. It's really nice up there.
Thanks @duggydo, that area is on the list. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Ben, I'm trying to find a the same trailhunter rock rails for my TRD OR. If you don't mind me asking, what'd you end up paying and did your local dealer have them?
Edit: nevermind, you added links. Thanks!
No problem I should have had them right away. Thanks for watching!
Wise choice. Looks great !!
Thanks Mike I appreciate it. I'm happy with them too! Next part is supposed to be in tomorrow!
@@BenInBeta I have a Trd skid plate on order and will be ordering the sliders. Looking at tires but can’t decide on 265 or 285.
@@Mjr1348 Sweet! Have you looked at 255/80/17s? They fit and are 33s, plus I think they are the same weight as the 285s which are barely bigger than stock. That'll probably be the tire size we'd switch too in the future. Any if you are thinking narrower tires won't perform as well, check this out: th-cam.com/video/6wAJAOxh8LE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nwe-PAD6Bue0Xr8d
@@BenInBetathanks Ben. I’ll look into that. ✌🏻
@Mjr1348 no problem!
Could you share the P/N for the Trailhunter Rock sliders and all required install hardware?
I added links in the description to the toyota parts site for the left and right Rock Rails. They come with all of the parts you need in the box, 11 bolts for each side, one was extra for me as I didn't have threads in one location. Thanks for watching and the question!
How's the engine? Any issues so far?
0 issues with the engine or transmission. I've only had some software bugs with the infotainment system and a smaller one with the driver's display not remembering my layout. And I blew a fuse in the bed DC ports, but again that's pretty minor. Thanks for watching and for the question.
