eventhough im vietnamese, I usually remove the snails tail ( the part with the poop) before eating it, I would recommend everyone to remove it though, it could contains tons of nasty stuff and would infect you with worms, my dad and my mom also told me to do so.
I always remove the tail too although I never knew what's in it because it tastes, well, like shit.

Many years ago when I was a kid, my family was on vacation in Quebec. We stopped at a small local restaurant and they had escargot on the menu... My sister and I joked and asked our dad if we could order it... He proceeded to request it in the order. As we waited for the dish we worried because we knew our father would expect us to eat it... The snails were cooked in a garlic herb butter with melted mozzarella cheese on top. Simply said it was good... We ordered three servings... But also anything with mozzarella cheese in a garlic herb butter is going to be delicious...
I have made the dish many times since at home.

I've had snail a few times... nothing like this though! But I think for me its the most normal tasting 'weird' food that I've ever had. It tastes exactly like a scallop with more earth/mineral flavor. Also the sauce is the more dominant flavor almost always.

If I went there I would ask them to make me a nice hamburger.
They must have a few cows there, if I pay them enough they would slaughter one and grind it up for me.
Then I would have plenty of meat for delicious hamburgers to eat during my stay and not have to eat weird things. I can afford to eat the normal food that I like.

Ain't nothing wrong with MSG. So many people think it's bad for you and it's some weird chemical made in labs, when in reality it's completely natural occurring substance that has been used for over a millennia and has really no more negative effects (unless you eat WAY, WAY more than anyone would ever at in one sitting) than salt. Seriously the only side-effect of eating MSG scientists have found is dehydration, which would happen if ate too much salty foods, and that only happen when people ate a ton more than people would normally use in a dish. Like with anything, moderation is key. As long as you don't go crazy, you'll be perfectly fine.
Also just wanted to point out because I just know someone is going say something, Contrary to popular belief it's extremely and I mean, extremely rare for anyone to be actually be allergic to it (less than %1 of the world population), and if you were actually allergic or "sensitive" to it, you would definitely also be allergic to everything that contains it like tomatoes, eggplant, ect. and would be serious trouble because so many different food contain it. Most people who say that they are, are just saying it or for whatever reason think they are, and have never had any actual tests to prove it.
All the horror stories people have heard about MSG (like it gives you a headaches or causes cancer) is just urban legend caused more by irrational fear of anything different and anything sounds like a "chemical" than having any actual scientific basis.
If it wasn't for MSG, tomatoes, seaweed and so many other foods wouldn't taste the way they do. Tomatoes actually contain a ton of msg and is what gives it it's rich savory flavor! So many dishes and foods simply wouldn't exist anymore if there wasn't any MSG. I just personally never understood all the hate MSG gets, when it's actually responsible for making so many of our favorite dishes and foods so tasty! Alas, I guess it's just easier to give into and believe urban legends and myths than to objectively think for yourself and learn the actual scientific facts or reasoning for things.

@@uncanny3637 The irrational fear of anything that is a "Chemical" just blows my mind. It's like people are just scared to actually learn and do their own research, and find out what is dangerous or not. I guess, it's just way easier to follow the crowd no matter how wrong or stupid they might be....
One time. my neighbor (a older man about 67-68ish) saw me drinking a bottle of Coke and said to me "How can you drink that garbage! You'll never catch me paying to drink all those chemicals and poisons!:" So I responded, "Yeah, I agree it's not that healthy but for me it's a special treat. Also, that water in your water bottle is technically considered a chemical". The older man neighbor actually got a really mad and absolutely refused to believe that water can actually be considered a CHEMICAL...and even after I show him some resources and my other next door neighbor who is a 7th grade Science teacher told it that it indeed is technically a chemical, he called both of us crazy and that he couldn't believe that they are teaching kids that in school!
(The most ironic part of this story, is that the old man is actually a functioning dope addict and probably doesn't know and/or doesn't care what might be in what he shoots up....)

@Mr. Foxo It's just the culture of Asia. Some animals are eaten alive because of the culture. You may say it's torture, I guess it is too, but i dont disrespect it tbh. Cooking lobster alive is equivalent of eating stuff alive too. Slaughtering animals by shooting it or slaughtering it by knife to the neck, is equivalent to killing it. Our cultures always have something to do with killing animals. I don't see why you're so racist.
