I knew the young kiwi guy that invented this. He was a 6th form college student. He called his invention Perpetual Images. That was is 1991. Had only 6 leds and could only display simple letters in one colour. I suggested he apply for a patent, seeing as he was showing it in a high school science fair. He didn't and the rest is history.
@@VelinSevven I suggested, seeing as he was only 15/16, that he put all his data, plans, drawings etc into an envelope, post them to himself and leave unopened. In olden days, animated movie credit titles were displayed using this trick. It was called rotoscope. At that time led wasn't discovered. So, paints were used on bright surface. I wonder how noisy these things are? Also, how would you display things with aspect ratios? Would you have to crop it? How's the vibration level? How many revolutions/hours are these motors rated at? How much are these? Are they modular and scalable? How's the black levels? So many questions unanswered...
@@klgadgettv it automatically makes it 3d? can the image source be from hdmi out from a laptop? What if i have a filter to make background black? any limit on playback time? I'm wonder if some of the deep fake vidoes would play?

How about what are they not? They aren’t 3D. They’re a flat disc spinning in the air. They aren’t holograms. They’re a flat disc spinning in the air. Holograms are 3D. Like, as a for instance, if this were right against a wall how would it differ from a circular projection on that wall? Not much. Noisier. More limited in size. People need to stop calling these “3D holograms”. It’s like if a stagecoach in the 1800s were being marketed as a “horseless carriage” because the horses were set on the sides instead of in front. It’s fraud.
Question. Through the phone is there ANY way to get this to video hologram level? Somehow bridging the app on the phone with google hangouts or zoom or something?
Can you do a separate video on the case that you mentioned towards the end? I'm worried about people sticking their fingers in it trying to touch the display.
If there is an Mp4 file with sound in my phone, And I'm connecting it to the fan AND to a speaker (ordinary Pl plug), Will I hear the sound when it will display in the Fan?

Thx for saving my time
@@capjus Seeing it on video is not the same as in person, it can produce some quite impressing 3D looks depending on the image.
his job is to introduce and see what they do, he did that perfectly, the single fan and fan wall are essentially the same thing, just a bit bigger.
19 seconds of actual 'fan' footage.
That and all of that...for just one damn fan, while he has an entire 'wall' of them pretty much. What a disappointment.
Was a very frustrating video!! I wonder what video and motion looks like, and how noisy the fans are.
@@madebythebird I wonder what the windspeed is and if I can use this to replace my traditional blade fan
As an introductory video for someone with little knowledge of these 3D fans, this video was pretty good.
5:17 just press on it or press 3:52
AGT brought me here :) Awesome vid man!
It's not 3d. It's just a 2d display. The design of the spinning LCDs make the screen "disappear", but there's nothing 3d about the experience.

Can you program your company logo on it?
Yes you can
can i hear the fan sounds?
I want to hear what they sound like but it seems like not a single person has posted a video of it without loud annoying music instead of the audio.
In terms of noise, how much dB this fan can generate? How long could you possibly could keep this device running and spinning?
It’s around 50dB, rated 3 years of continuous use

Hey, did you have success on that?
These things must heat up or something after 30 seconds. I have yet to find a 'demo' video with more than a few seconds of actual use.
Some company use it as an ads media here. Coca cola is the biggest to use it here in Indonesia.
any idea on the workarround for the audio? how can i play a video with audiio?

How much is the one in your video?
For my understanding there is nothing 3D with this. This is just a flat projection similar to a standard screen.
Imagine integrating this with flower delivery service 💰

Too much talking & not enough demonstration
