Hi there. your presentation is good. In order not to be misunderstood, I am not in favor of the Chinese thread or the Australian flow frames because there is BPA in both. You try to criticize Chinese flow frames and advertise Australian ones. I personally bought Chinese flow frames and they confirmed that they were BPA FREE, but when I investigated they lied. I sent them back and they gave me back the full amount of my money. Then I bought the original Australian ones and check the colorless plastic on the flow frames has the number 7, which is the worst number for plastics that come into contact with food because the number seven contains BPA. I contacted the company in Australia and they refunded my full amount. Don't make the excuse that that sign is for recycling. In each number from 1 to 7 there is a triangle for recycling where plastic under number 7 is not mixed with plastic from other numbers because number 7 contains BPA. I can't display pictures and videos in the comments for you to see. But the person presenting can record it and show it. The number seven is written below the registered patent numbers.

    I have 2 questions:
1- Do Chinese Auto Flow frames have adjustment screws at the back like the Australians do?
2- How much does the Australian cost, and how much does the Chinese cost?

As of Early May 2022, based on the cost for both in GBP, the different cost was
      GB£415 Vs GB£144
      Euro470 Vs Euro 164
      US$555 Vs US$193
      AU$740 Vs AU$256
..... though watch next episode first...
Prices may be different based on local/regional websites.

Just watched your video and the part about alignment there is a cap that you put in and will only fit if the frames are back in the correct position

I would suggest you to shuffle them inside the hive

Me. I would only put 3 frames in each, as how they going to store winter stores?

I will still have them going in to Winter with 11 Brood Frames. The UK Winters are not usually very cold and that will be all that is needed. Due to the scales on the hives, if they get through the stores over Winter, I will be able to add Fondant on top of the crown board, which they can eat. Spring 2022, the colony had lots of remaining stores after a fairly typical Winter for Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

My biggest concern about the Chinese version is that the Chinese are known for hiding toxic waste in their products and would not want anything China Made in my Hive.
The flow have does have a flaw as you can not really see if the frames are fully ready for exaction as you really don't have a full view if fully capped cells or not. Nevertheless the Australia made is a better product because of the restriction the Country has on product manufacturing. The China made products are not as restricted of product manufacturing and just like the dog treats they exported and killing many dogs I would not put any Chinese made product in my body

They sell these as food grade plastics in all store fronts in the USA. In order to do so the plastic must meet FDA and USDA standards. When they Chinese auto flow first came out they were indeed cheap plastics that leeched into the honey. However because of it the sales declined and in order to compete with the real Flow frames the manufacturers of Auto Flow from China chose to start to produce plastics that meet the minimum FDA and USDA standards. Still original Flow frames are likely better in quality, but there is no need to worry about the toxicity of the Chinese copies. The entire stock would be pulled from the US market if even one frame were to be discovered to not be actual food grade when they are sold as such. I’m sure original Flow already would have taken the steps to have it removed from market if the plastics were not of food grade material. Flow would probably love to have their only competitor removed from the largest beekeeping supply market in the world. Hope this helps.

i can see that you are trying hard to promote the Australian frames, but Chinese frames look as good as
    thank you for the video

Thank you for your comments. The two key differences is that the Chinese Autoframe manufacture does not confirm the plastic food safety to the same levels as the Australian Flow Frames, and key point is that the Chinese AutoFrames are slightly bigger than a standard Langstroth and you do need to remove a single blade and rewire for them to fit a Langstroth box. The Australian FlowFrames fit first time, though do cost significantly more. If you do not mind the additional effort and not concerned about potential plastic leaching that the Australian FlowFrames claim will not happen with their frames, then the Chinese AutoFrames are a worthy consideration.
For clarity I paid full price for both sets of frames and have no incentives from either supplier thus the video reflects my personal views. Enjoy watching.

You failed to mention the cost difference which is the main reason most people are getting the auto frames

What’s your take away now that you have used both of these frames for almost 2.5 seasons?

What are you going to dowththe Chinese frames supposing they d o not take them back

I plan to dismantle them, remove a blade and then reassemble them. They ought then be a little smaller and should hopefully fit. May do another video as to how I do this - though will only use the frames next year now.
