Last Day! at Adventure Off Road Park, TN - Part Five of Ultimate Adventure 2015!

- Ahh, the last day of Ultimate Adventure 2015! After a successful day on the trails of Durhamtown Tellico in the mountains of Western North Carolina it was time to hit the road to more adventure. Our end point would be South Pittsburgh, Tennessee, but there was no chance that we would get there via the most direct route. Now, if you’ve been paying attention you might expect us to visit an off-road park along the way, or at the very least find some ferry that crosses a lake or river. You would be wrong. Instead somehow the fearless Péwé found a place where a few of us could drive a tank…yep you read that right a tank. Well, maybe it’s not a tank exactly, but hey an armored personnel carrier is pretty close. Did we mention it can be driven in deep water and over junked cars.
The adventure is about to come to an end for the group as a whole (although many of us have hundreds if not thousands of miles to travel to get home and more adventures await). This means that all the participants of yet another Ultimate Adventure made it to the end with only a few component fatalities. Course the action is not all over until the sun sets and Adventure Off Road Park near South Pittsburgh Tennessee would provide many a challenge for the experienced and soggy UA ’15 group. Our itinerary for the day would include slick orange clay, limestone rocks that seem to be able to bite, a BBQ lunch for all UAers, and more rocks and mud in an afternoon of dessert. While all rigs made it to the trail head of the last day not all would walk…or drive away unscathed. For more action, videos, pictures check out 4WOR-UA.com.

Man great Ride guys, that was really enjoyable.
I enjoyed the Videos, Rick did an awesome job! I think he got the right group together because everybody just pushed harder when the rain came and didn't complain. I thought the expensive rigs were cool but liked the Sidekick and older chevy trucks and Sammy the best because a guy could build something like that in his Garage for a few bucks and they seemed to get through everything just fine.

10:10 yeah, that looks like the air intake above the wheel like in the second generation explorers. I'm suprised he didn't suck in any mud or water during this trip. I have the stock plastic wheel wells in to prevent sucking in water thrown by my wheels. That and my '95 explorer is mostly civilian use. A snorkel doesn't cost that much to make and/or install.

+Milsparro i am really happy I had my new full convertible top and doors for this trip! While it wasn't completely waterproof it sure made it more pleasant inside! Last year on the way home, somewhere in Kansas, we got stuck in a storm that was so bad I could see anything. Water was going everywhere.....front of the windshield, back of the windshield, inside by goggles, down the back of my pants....it sucked. This year I came with a custom soft convertible top and doors that I made to keep the spray from the tires off the 'back' of the windshield and mostly off us. That was the best $50 I ever spent on the old flat fender for these trips!

i think they should do a UA up here in Canada where you can go rock crawling, Dune racing, and mud bogging all in 5 days and take dirt road the whole trip.

I think Pewe was a little surprised him self at crushing a good xj body, lese and less Cherokees around I bought one wreaked brought it to life used it hard rebuilt it a couple of times long story short but in the end I killed it and the motor that I hydrolocked 3 times lived on passed 200 thou in some kids Cherokee...
