    I purchased the Hafny Bar End Bike Mirror HF-MR083, works great on my lectric XP. I purchased this bar end type mirror mainly for the convenience when folding the XP bike to transport.

      Mmmm, maybe I should consider that model for the right side of my Lectric XP? I don't usually go for end of bar mirrors, but that one might be worth trying if I need to be able to see on my right side.

    well done video! reassuring it is so compatible with the brand bike you have, as I do as well. Thank you for the tips on the value of using a torque wrench!! I just got an Lectric bit and they reference using one, and now I can do so!!

    I don't need a right side mirror since I always ride on the rt side. I have the same mirror and it's a great purchase.

      Right side mirrors are good for heavy trafficked streets where cars go into right turn lanes to the right of the bike lane. Now I need to buy a right side mirror🙂

    I first got a cheap mirror with a longer extension but the shaking from the handlebars made it almost useless. So I got this instead and it works perfectly well. Since I always ride on the right side, I have no use for a right side mirror.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is almost the same story I lived through. Cheap mirrors are as good as no mirrors as they bounce around too much or aren’t clear.

    I like the electric driver/torque wrench. Makes it easy not to over tighten small hardware

    Do you recommend replacing the mechanical brakes to hydraulic brakes? Do you have any recommendations? and/or how-to video?

    Take an icepick and a bottle of water, slide the pick under the grip with the end of the grip toward the ground. Lift it enough water will flow into the grip, remove ice pick and slide grip off.

      Oh man! I just remembered we used to do that when I was a kid (which was only about 4 decades ago lol) and totally forgot about that technique! Thanks so much for the tip and refreshing my memory. Ugghh...I feel so silly now struggling so hard to get it off. I should've thought back to how I used to do it back then when I was much smaller.

      @@EbikeProducts use an air compressor, there is a video on you tube to do this, I believe Jerimiah macintaosh (sp) shows this.

    Hey, kinda off-topic, Idk if you ever rode in heavy or continuous rain yet, but what do you use to protect the display screen and other possible wiring that could get exposed to water? Any suggestions?
    Maybe you can make a review video on that and what are the fastest amp battery chargers as well

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here in Los Angeles County it hasn’t rained much. I am going to carry a ziploc bag so if it does rain while I am out I can put it over the display. The bike is rated to handle rain so the only other part I’d really worry about is the PAS buttons and would cover that with something too.

    Just received my Haney mirror today. But I ordered the mirror that goes into the end of the handle

      How do you like it? I changed my mind from liking the long arm type to the end of bar type like yours. It’s really easy to install and see behind me without my body in the way.

    Did you say those handlebar grips were actually softer than the og XP grips? My hands always go to sleep. Thanks!! Husband and I live your videos you do an amazing job!!😊

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words and encouragement! Yes, the grips are softer than the stock ones that come with the ebike, but not by much. If you’re hand are going to sleep, try seeing if you have any room to move your seat forward and bring your handlebars closer to you by rotating them a little. Just a small adjustment on either (even 1 inch forward on the seat) can make a huge difference. Many seats have rails where the post attaches to it and often is centered when installed. This gives room to loosen and push the seat forward which will give you a little more upright position and less pressure on your hands.

    I purchased this mirror for my Aventon Sinch, my question is the left side has the throttle and the pedal assist and turning on the bike buttons, can I move all that stuff in for this?

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the there is enough open space on the handlebar to fit, then moving those parts over should be easy. You may want to also make sure that anything you need a lot of access to (like the throttle) stays within a reasonable reach with the mirror bracket moving them further from the grips. On the Lectric XP 1.0, there was barely enough free handlebar space to add it, but it did work out in the end and I think you should be able to as well.

    so are the mirrors electric or are they just mirrors that are still adjusted by manual manipulation?

      I totally understand. I only use a left side mirror. I just checked amazon and they offer one side only options for most of their mirrors.

    Why didn’t you just buy bar end mirrors, so you don’t have to touch any of the controls?

      I hope there was enough information in the video that was helpful to you. If you need more information on how to install mirrors. Let me know, and I will try to help.
      Sorry about the tools talk. I really like tools and felt it would be helpful to share the tools that would help make doing things on the ebike faster.

    • @apergiel
      @apergiel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      She will learn that not having the right tool and torque either breaks/strips the expensive part or the part will loosen and swivel off in the middle of heavy traffic. If one doesn’t like tools, be friends with a competent mechanic/bike-shop.

    You know you've always got good videos but you advertise the electric bike too much

    • @Float4Fun
      @Float4Fun 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn't think it was an ad for the bike he has at all, rather as much as referencing the association o the mirrors to being easily compatible to his bike brand. Man will appreciate that as it is reassuring that it's a fit for their bike as well.
