    Thank you for your useful list of important accessories.
    By coincidence I had a few of them already on my Lectric XP Step Thru but I needed a new bike helmet as mine was getting old.
    There is an updated model of that helmet now with USB charging for the rear light on it so I ordered it (It looks quite stylish too).
    I also ordered the water holder bag too.
    As a heart patient this bike has been quite useful for me.
    Today I used it to purchase and bring home two gallons of outdoor paint and on a second ride I used the bike to purchase healthy groceries which I carried in my Lectric XP pannier bags.
    In addition it's useful both healthy and therapeutic (aerobic exercise and losing excess body weight) for me and much more environmentally friendly in not using much energy and putting out CO2 emissions (Where I live 92 % of our electrical energy comes from hydroelectric sources).
    So I have much less guilt about creating a Soylent Green dystopian future planet though from what I see around me and the bad global suicide habits of humans it doesn't look good.
    The bleak world of Soylent Green will probably sadly come true in the next century.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, I tested and loved the Volt Limited 1500 watt ebike. I haven’t tried the 750 watt version. I have not found anything comparable in price and specs to that Limited and think it’s one of the best 20” fat tire bikes hands down. That 1500 watts is super smooth and really fast. If anyone is looking for the best folding 20” fat tire ebike, I think the limited is it. Just know it’s not technically legal in most states if you unlock it to exceed the 750 watts.

    How do you like the C9 saddle? Part "B" to the question is adding a suspension seat post, is it necessary? Nice video, thanks for the helpful information.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I really like the Cloud9 seat a lot, but also find the Bikeroo seat to work well too. I made a video about the Cloud9 and Bikeroo seats and what I found about each.
      Depending on how you ride and the seat you have, you may not find a suspension seat post necessary. If you are riding on smooth paved roads everywhere with a comfy seat or you are used to riding a lot, it may not be as useful. If you are not a frequent rider, it will usually help a lot at first as most people fill find their bodies take a bit to get used to riding and the suspension seat post helps a lot.

    Great video and it’s a good suggestion to get a helmet for sure!!
    A colleague of mine from work got bumped in a gas station parking lot via car tipped over off of his bike and bumped his head. He didn’t have a helmet on. Suffered for about four years with seizures and then he had a big seizure and it killed him. He could never prove that the car bumped him he just woke up on the ground!! No video camera angles caught the accident!
    Wear a helmet people!!
    I’m waiting for my black bird to get here in July or August I just purchased a THOUSAND MIPS helmet you should check them out great company!!

    Nice video ! Question : why do you only have one mirror on the (left side is it ?)

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question! I actually have a matching mirror ready to install on the right side, but I have not found a place to install it. There isn't any open space on the lectric xp to install it on the right side of the bike with the throttle mechanism taking so much handlebar space and also being so narrow. For now, since I've typically only used the left side to look behind me when riding any ebike or bicycle, it hasn't been a big deal and I figured when I get my Bolton Blackbird I will see if I can then use 2 mirrors on that ebike. I am not very fond of mirrors that attach to the end of the handlebars as they can easily hit things on the side and I've seen enough ebike crash videos caused by end mirrors to see if I can look for an alternative to the missing right mirror. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Thousand helmet for wife and I. You get to a certain age and new tennis shoes and bike helmets are too young looking. The Thousand is not the cheapest, but it suits us and we are not self conscious about it. Another accessory no one speaks about is a pants clip to keep pants leg out of the sprocket. I prefer the metal type over nylon and velcro. Finally, I equip with leather saddle bags. Deucedly handy!

      Great suggestions! Thousand helmets have a huge selection and I love their designs. They were one of my top picks when I was looking for one.
      You’re right about pant clips. I usually wear shorts when I ride, but if I started commuting it would definitely be something I’d want to carry. Never heard of a metal pant clip so I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for sharing!

    No idea why a phone holder is essential, I own two holders a waterproof one and one that's open and never use either. LOL. I just stick wireless earbuds in and put my phone in my bag or pocket. Mind you my ebike has built in GPS navigation.
    I've also got a bar extender from Topeak which fits great but I took it off because I didn't like the way it stuck out, LOL. It's a squeeze but I can still get my GoPro and extra light mounted on my bars.
    Fun tips anyway. 👍

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I so appreciate the feedback. I spoke to my wife about her thoughts and she totally agreed with you and asked why it was so loud. It was actually a mistake on my audio settings and the music was supposed to be soft enough where it would be barely audible unless there was a time where I wasn't talking and it would be a light background filler. I usually check it after I render the video but this time I missed that step and when I reviewed it I cringed at how loud it was. I will be sure to get that level down again and triple check moving forward. Thanks again!

    That may work for you but I would want to replace the hard handlebar grips with spongy ones with holes in the ends. This will not only make gripping more enjoyable but it will open up the end for a mirror or mirrors hat fit in the hole. This frees up some space for a much needed bell. I don't need the handlebar extension, which doesn't work all that well, since I don't plan on using a camera or lights attached to a handlebar. If I get an extra light, I would find a way to mount it to the handlebar post. A flashing tail light is also a nice touch. Frankly your cell phone holder seems like a pain to use. I have seen inexpensive ones that quickly clamp all for corners and have a quick release as well. I didn't mean to trash your whole well meant video. The bottle holder looks nice.
    A valid complaint of Lectric bikes is the lack of a USB port to charge your phone or other things. I have seen small bags that strap to the battery bar that mostly are meant to hold a cell phone. But instead of a cell phone why not put an external USB charger in it and run a short wire to the cell phone mounted on the handlebar. I saw one review on a small pump with an external USB that could be used to inflate the tires and double as a phone charger. Seems ideal if you have to fix a flat on the road.

    • @EbikeProducts
      @EbikeProducts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the honest feedback! I totally don’t feel like you’re trashing the video. The cellphone holder is definitely more of a hassle than the one you are speaking of. I bought the cheapest one to see if it would be adequate and will be buying the type of holder where all 4 corners clamp on quickly. I am not a fan on the handlebar extension I have on there now as it doesn’t hold as well as I’d like it too since the handlebar is too thin.
      I actually have sponge grips that I bought before getting he bike but have not installed them since I like the stock grips that came with the bike.
      I just got a portable pump with charging port like you mentioned. It is a very handy device!
      Ride safe and thanks again for taking the time to comment!
