To me, there are some defendable aspects of AI in general (in potential, like being able to do jobs nodoby wants or too logorating for a human), but I absolutely cannot condone the unregulated stealing of art by actual human artists that put their life and soul into their craft, only to see their work be fed without permission to a soulless machine algorithm that churns out "artworks" that are VERY recognizable as being AI generated, and be called "gatekeepers" by the extremist supporters of AI "art" merely for defending their skills and way to pay the bills.
      And leaving the "human touch" discourse aside, which I still very much believe in, there's a sh1t ton of legal issues with AI generated images due to the way they are fed with copyrighted work. See recent controversies on the matter.

    One of the funniest things about the "right click is theft!! And they don't tell you what you'll be winning because then you'd be able to make a value analysis on whether it's worth your time and money. Also if they don't tell you what it is, you can speculate and your imagination goes wild, and the people who find this appealing will build up in their own mind what it actually is thus feeding your own enthusiasm at no cost to them.

      Yep. Main reason I dont do the limited time event crap in games like War Thunder or world of tanks is because, often, as an average player, with average vehicles, with a free account, the rate of experience, or points, or whatever, that I can gain to get the rewards of those limited time offers is so low, that I would literally need to play 8-16 hours a day, every day, for the course of the special event... Not technically impossible, but basically proves only no-lifes can get the rewards for free. Those who do get the rewards are often those who throw money at it in some way, be it a premium account, or just buying whatever in game currency is tied to the event (because there's usually an option just to buy it, or at least buy loot boxes that have it). After a while... Yeah, I'm content never pursuing these things, knowing from the getgo theyre designed to separate you from your money, and designed to frustrate you into giving up and paying for it, if you go the free route.
      And those are actual games... I couldnt imagine doing all that for a sh@tty phone game, with a steep entry fee, and zero information on what winning actually gets you.

Something! (As long as the ticket belongs to the original person who purchased the ticket which our "validation" totally can't just rig, honest. Counterpoint: Here's why you shouldn't right click save people's NFT's:
    When you see somebody's ugly ape pic it most likely got saved in your program's cache, ie the RAM. RAM gets completely clean after you shut down your computer. Now if you download it an ugly ape pic is now in you hard drive. When you delete an ugly ape pic from your hard drive the computer merely designates that space to be open for overwrite (that's how data salvage is possible). So unless you format your disk or fill it up to the last bit, your disk will be forever tainted by ghost of a really ugly pic you otherwise won't allow in your hard drive.
    edit: if you really must use a RAMdisk or some sort. Your computer will thank you.

The prizes were usually a gift card or $100 shopping voucher, or else special merch related to the game being played, worth maybe $80 tops in scarcity alone.

    Do the NFTbros not realise that in order for anyone else to even view their precious JPG, the device they're using to view it with HAS TO DOWNLOAD IT? So before anyone does any right click save, it's already on their computer anyway. But if no-one could view their precious JPG, they'd never get their perceived bragging rights for owning the NFT, right?

  • @UserShadow7989
    @UserShadow7989 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Seeing NFTbros flip out over screenshots and right clicking will never not be amusing for the sheer depths of ignorance about the technology they claim they’re revolutionizing it exposes.
    Ignoring the point people have repeatedly brought up about the NFT being the receipt of the hyperlink to the image: hey genius, when you go to a website on your device, and you see the images on that website on your device, how do you think you are seeing those images *on your device*?
    When you post something to a website, that something is *copied* to the servers that website is hosted on. When you go to visit a page on a website on your device, the data that comprises that page is *copied* to your device as temp files.
    The moment someone visits a place you have uploaded your picture on the internet, their device has a copy of it on their computer, potentially several, without ever right clicking or screenshotting the page.
