For the turn indicator warning bulb, it might need to be a bi-polarity type LED, to allow current to flow either way through the circuit and still give illumination (like a regular incandescent bulb).. These are quite common to get now if needed.
@@Thecarislife Depends on the signal wiring. I learned this lesson from upgrading to LEDs on classic motorbikes (Norton & Triumph). The single turn signal warning lamp has to pass current one way for left turns and the other way for right turns. A standard LED only flows in one direction. Bi-polarity type works fine. Not sure what you have on your mini.

Great video mate, but the time on your watch is wrong. At 3.55 into your video your watch said 11.02 when it was infact 20.19 in the evening. I know this as I checked my watch and my grandfather clock at home.
Thanks Mark. I haven't started the engine yet. Still not reconnected the oil pressure gauge. I hadn't thought about that lol. At least with the gauge I can ignore a dim light
Hi Adam, I was just wondering what year your Mini is? I've just finished installing my centre speedo and it didn't have the nice plug-in to the main loom yours does. I had to deal with all separate wires which was a real pain. My Mini is a 1975 Canadian Mini 1000. I wish I'd seen your video before installing my speedo.The LED are so much brighter. Cheers!

I'll have a look to see if I still have it. I used two types. One for the speedo and another for the oil pressure and temp gauge

Does your oil light glow as mine did nothing wrong with pressure switch may had a slight earth leak? 👍👍 bonnet looks fab and your looking good 😉

I got them from amazon. I've no idea of the quality but time will tell u guess.

Cheers midge. My mini is a 1977. It's quite a mixed bag of mk3 and mk4 parts so the plug may have come in with mk4?
