I'm about to swap my 2 clock LHD dash on an '88 Mini for the center binnacle setup. Your videos are a big help. My speedo is a new, old stock 90 MPH clock with also 4 miles on the Odo. I'm hoping to tap into the existing 2-clock harness (which is for the later Nippon circuit board clock assembly). Ideally I'd like to find/make up a multi connector plug to have one plug for the new speedo and temp/oil pressure clocks. Would make working on the instruments easier in future when having to disconnect/re-connect them.
The holes don't line up because it's a mkII binnacle, which was all you could get for years. A company called nippycars in the UK now reproduces the mkI binnacle assemblies. They're a bit pricy, but ideal if you want to maintain the mkI look and fit without having to drill new holes in the dash.
Thanks for keeping it real. These vids are great
