- I went to the coast with my Canon 1D Mark 3 to take some sunrise seascape photographs. I think the three I got this morning we're really quite nice! I also demonstrate something I wish I knew earlier - changing your white balance manually! Although it makes a small difference to your overall exposure, every little thing helps when getting it right in camera!

I passed there last year on my Cleveland way hiking camping jaunt to Whitby. What a wonderful place. Love the coves and the spectacular views etc. Now I'm more competent with taking photos I may have to get over there soon while it's warm.
Flamborough is a great place to explore.
Fantastic video and a brilliant final image!!! When all the other TH-cam channels are talking about newest gear and the Canon R7, you're focused on having s great time and making brilliant images with old gear. Love it.
Thanks Brendan. That’s the point of my channel and I’m glad you get it. You don’t need the last eat and greatest to go out there and have fun. Photography should be accessible and not just for those who can afford it.
R7 is junk compared to a 1dx3

I have 1D Mark IV and to be honest I just love it. Can't be bothered about Canon R or Sony A7 or the likes of it. Too expensive and too automatic.
I learned with SLRs so assisted digital photography takes away the pleasure of composing a shot.
I’m not a fan of mirrorless so I stick with my old Canons. They’re a lot more fun to use.

@@ChrisBaitson I find the hand grip that I have w/ my 1Ds is the best solution for these Canon pro bodies, the original Canon hand grips are nowhere to be found and the aftermarket chinese ones are not that good

Hi, thanks for the perfect videos and tutorials on how to shoot with Canon. I am from Czech Republic, I had Canon 1D Mark III, now I have Canon 1D Mark IV. May I have a small request? Will you make some videos also with the 1D Mk IV? I want to move up in work and settings with this camera, which I can't get enough of. I'm not sure I have 1D4 money right now but it is a camera I've been looking at for the future. How do you find it compared to the Mark 3?
@@ChrisBaitson Hi Chris, I also started with a 1D Mk III. If you are thinking of switching to the 1DMk IV, I highly recommend it. I have 2 1D MK IV bodies, the older one has shot almost 900,000 images. The 1D Mk IV is another advance in this technique, higher resolution and better menus etc. If I ever change cameras again, I'll go for the 1D series, the newer series is the 1D X. But it's also about finances, which I can't mindlessly spend on technology when I'm just an amateur = hobby photographer :-)

I'm curious are you fussy about using full frame sensors over cropped?
I have a full frame Canon RP which I use for video. Sensor size has never really been a factor for me.
