Photographing a Waterfall with my Canon 7D

- I took my Canon 7D to Falling Foss waterfall in North Yorkshire to spend a couple of hours photographing the waterfall. I used my EF-S 10-18mm lens for the wide photos of the waterfall and the combination seemed to work quite well.

Hey all you youtubers who think one needs the latest camera, wrong and this vid is the proof.
I’m glad people are starting to see the point in my channel. I might do a new v old camera video this week to show there’s hardly any noticeable difference.
Nice video Chris. I really like the second image and the swirling leaves as a detail. Well done!
I`m in love with your channel mate!
So beautiful ..7D user here ♥️
Great camera isn’t it.
Yes sir super smooth.nicely capture...
I`m in love with your channel mate
i've had this since 2011.. shot a feature, MV short films and it is still fine till today..
Yeah they’re still a great camera to use. That R7 looks a bit sexy now though. Might have a look at a MKii next. How do you find the video on the 7D?
@@ChrisBaitson they quite good for today standard if you only use it for vlogging or small project. it will need a couple of good lenses and to unlock the full potential of the camera, you will need to install the cine-style or advance cine style to for better color grading
Lovely waterfall ,Chris they always seem tranquil just sound of water running .nearest thing to a waterfall here is a low weir .
One day I’ll get to one , great vid 👍👍
This one is a good drive from me and it’s one of the closer ones. A shame it hadn’t rained I’d have liked more water but I always enjoy this spot.
@@ChrisBaitson spot on chap
Lovely shots Chris, I actually got a 7D a few months ago and I love it personally
I picked mine up end of last year on a whim. I’ve loved using it - alongside my 1D3 it’s replaced my full frame RP.
Those shots came out nice!
Thank you Steve. The third one was a bit iffy but the others I thought worked ok. Thanks for watching ☺️
Love your 7d videos mate, but you should pan thru out the whole pic in zoom on video's would be a much better experience 👍
Thanks for the feedback it is helpful!
Beautiful photos👍
Thank you Jackie. How are you getting on with your 7D?
@@ChrisBaitson Really enjoying the camera it’s great and thanks to watching your videos i’m learning a lot more. Great work, well done. Thankyou
Why does 6-8 sec look so much better than 1/15 sec?
1/15 sec would freeze the motion of the water. Wouldn’t get the long exposure look. I assume you’re referring to the 15 second photo? The “faster” shutter speed of 8 seconds can lead to a little more texture in the water flow opposed to a smoother and flatter look at 15 seconds. Part of the reason I actually prefer 1 - 1.5 second exposures for waves.
@@ChrisBaitson I thought 1/15th blurred the fast moving steams. I was wrong! I’ve Been capturing many falls lately I will take your suggestions.
@@sbright33 you might get a small amount of motion blur but not an awful lot.
Boy I didn't understand a word you just said?!
With a big regret must state that this fantastic camera is to heavy for small woman's hands: 910 g . Just. Too. Heavy.
I agree it is a big camera. Even for me hands. But then all of my cameras are big for my little hands. 🤦🏻♂️
