- Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-Pendous at Islands of Adventure has been going through a transformation and it reopened with a brand new menu and ordering procedure. However, Universal Orlando tried to do too much with this restaurant and focused more on interesting looking food rather than delicious food.

Husband and I just watched your review. Thanks so much for your thoughtful takes on the dishes you tried. So many vloggers use words like "delicious" or "spicy" or "really good!" without explaining any specifics on what exactly that means. Also appreciate your insights on the actual value of the food. I also appreciate the honesty. I'm the type of person who can eat breakfast before heading to a park, and be fine not eating a full meal again until we leave. Of course I'll buy drinks, and maybe some snacks, or specific items that Im curious about, but its rare that I do full service dining, and I rely on reviews like this to pique my interest on anything from quick service. So, my point is, the negative information is still nice to know.

Helplessly giggling with the repetition
It feels Seuss in a way.
There's seems to be some variance in prep of a few of these dishes. In some other reviews the Chicken and Biscuit was dripping in hot honey. Similarly the Caramel Cupcake had the container completely lined in caramel sauce which seems like it was missing from yours.
Could be a consistency thing. Could be they altered already for guest feedback. More hot honey would’ve helped drastically but it still needed more help. Cajun fries would pair better than curly but they clearly have curly for the roast beef sandwich. Mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy could’ve done the trick too. As for the cupcake, more caramel isn’t the key. That thing wouldn’t beat a good home baker’s fancy cupcake and felt like a grocery store special plus caramel corn.
You might have tried the Roast Beast Sandwich, I hear that is no less than fabulous!

I remember eating here when IoA first opened for a character breakfast buffet. This was in 1999 but I still remember it has the worst theme park food I've ever had. I'm not surprised the food here was subpar.
We used to go to Circus McGurkus every time we would visit Uni. The new menu looks so unappealing to me. Time to find a new favorite.

Absolutely - if you're a meat eater I really do recommend the Roast Beef Sandwich and the chicken tenders have a lot of promise if you get enough sauce.

Honestly everything at Universal feels so close to being good, but just missing the mark. Food, rides, themeing, etc. I’m holding my breath for Epic Universe

The food seems so disappointing. Why don't they try to make decent food? It's not hard.
I have a feeling we are probably in the minority with our opinions. I think for most people it probably feels adventurous and/or fun so it’s easier to look past blandness, odd flavor combos, etc…
There is no polite way to say this…but I’ve never been to this restaurant and seeing the inside and food was enough to make me never want to walk into Universal again! 😂 Makes no sense, but wow !! Did not like it, but thank you for helping me learn something new! 😅
It's definitely not our favorites but there's still a lot of good dining around Islands of Adventure, USF, and CityWalk.
"Hopefully something is good" is never the vibe you bring to a new Disney menu. More bs from Dis Unglued.

Unknown to me. The first time I had their spaghetti my mouth was on fire. Never again.

We don't do scores for quick service restaurants. We leave those as 'would we get this again' otherwise everything would be pretty negative as quick service isn't known for ambiance, presentation, and service - it really comes down to taste and price.
