March 2022, Windows 10: Clear View works perfectly with the cable that came in the box with the transmitter. The SM-100 doesn't work for me at all. But the cable that was in the box (s-video - USB) is long enough and works just fine.
Thanks, good to know!
the receiver now comes with cable included and also works for windows 10, just plug and play.
Great news! Thanks for sharing!
it does but it is just a straight cable and it doesn't for this
You might have the trainer version. Does it have the USB adapter on one end?
@@TasteTheCode yes , it also have a menu for trainer mode
I just had to update the firmware to use the included wire with a simulator
I use Aerofly rc8 and it is so easy to use. Just connect and start the simulator. That's it.
Cool!
I have the FlySky i6x and could use the cable that was delivered with the controller. Need to set up Joystick Gremlin (+vJoy) to use with a simulator
Thanks for sharing! My controller did not come with a cable so I had to buy it separately.
@ Test the Code , great video.
I was wondering what do you recommend for an Android user , as Clearview is for Windows operating system only .. So what would be your recommendation .
I don't mind the ( have to Pay ) * cost not so concerned about , I just want a really Great Sim Quality and I dont mind paying a reasonable price for that Qaulity...
I Have Fly sky , and Spectrum Transmitters...
Cheers 🥂 Great job .. and you got a new subscriber.
Thanks for the nice words. The biggest problem with Android sims is that I don't know of any that can connect with the actual controller. All that I've tried use their on screen controls. They do behave the same but for a beginner the feel is not the same. I've used Absolute RC Plane Sim in the past and I'm quite happy with it.

Thank you much for the reply , guess I see a Cheap Laptop with windows in my future 😁
Cheer 🥂 .
PicaSim is better than FMS & similar to ClearView & is free on android (free & donation version) & windows. & a low cost iOS version. Also android natively supports Direct Input devices like the FlySky i6x transmitter so literally just use an usb-otg cable to plug in the FlySky i6x via its oem usb cable that came in the same package as the transmitter & control PicaSim that way. I do that on our Nexus 7's & PicaSim also has a android (Nexus 7) tutorial on their www page.
HI there,we download clearview, but dont now how to go on setings and how to bring the simulator on the screen, thanks
The app needs to be installed from where you downloaded it and double clicking on it should bring it on screen.
I bought this simulator. It worked with the remote control in Mode 2, when I configured the remote control in mode 1 it was not recognized. Can you give me some suggestion to be able to use it in mode 1?
I've never used it in Mode 1. I think contacting them directly is your best bet.
The cable can be use for liftoff simulator fpv?
No idea. I never tried FPV nor any of the simulators so I can't tell.
my FS-i6X worked with clearview simulator right out of the box with the included data cable. yours probably will to don't waste an extra 11 usd on the sim cable.
Mine did not came with a cable at all. It was just the remote, so I bought the cable separately.
Hello. Please help me. In the FS-i6X model, USB signals are already output to the
connector, not UART. This means that a UART converter is not needed and you can
connect directly to USB. I understand that you can update the firmware via USB. But I
need to know how to link 2 remotes to train a student and how to connect it to a
computer for the trainer.
Questions:
1.Can I use the USB connection for simulator training?
2. Will it be possible to connect a computer directly to the PPM output of the Tranier
connector through the sound input of the card? So how do they do it in the FS-i6?
3.How to connect the remote control to another remote control. Should I connect the
pin bus to USB or take the PPM In and PPM Out pins?
Hey there... There is a special cable to connect two remotes in a trainer mode. I've never done this so I would not know to tell how exactly it is done.
Sir which software is good
In the video I'm using ClearView and I think it is quite good.
Great Info!
Thanks!
Okay so we have an flysky FS-I6 not the X version we are using Clearview and we get to the PPM setup but none of the controller sticks make anything on the screen respond. We are using the demo version and I am curious if that would cause the issue
I can't tell for sure but I don't think that the version will matter. The demo is only limited to the number of models included.
I had the same problem. You need to change the output mode on the transmitter to PPM: Hold OK/System setup/RX Setup/Output mode/PPM, then hold Cancel. Don't forget to change it back to PWM before connecting to a receiver. Hope this helps.
I bought the FS-SM100 usb cable. The site to download the flight simulator described on the packaging was non-existent and didn't work... I returned the flight simulator. Do you have/know of the correct FS-SM100 flight simulator download for my windows11? Thank you
You have the download link in the video description.
I'll try this one thanks
👍👍👍
Is the usb/mini sim cable included with the flysky?
Mine was not and I had to buy it separately.
Thank you very much for your explanation! I have one question. I have the FS i6X, bought the Clear View simulator and the FS-SM100 usb cable (the same as you). However, I'm not able to configure the transmiter buttons in order to be used in the software. I mean, to activate/deactivate the flaps and the landin gears of the planes, I have to use the keyboard bottons because the software does not recognise them. Did you have the same problem? I see that in the tutorial you also have the keyboards F1, F2 , F3 and F4 instead of the transmiter bottons. Thank yo very much!
Sorry, but I would not know to tell as I haven't used the flaps nor landing gear nor the buttons on the controller.
Sir I have thanos Company RC how to connect it
Sorry but I'm unaware of that model. Please check the manufacturer docs.

It's difficult to get all the connecting wires. Do you know the wiring from s video cable to usb directly
Not really. And I guess you are not able to do that directly as the USB has some active electronics to convert the serial data coming out of the controller.
I just used the data transfer cable that came with my transmitter it works pretty well
@@wuke2488 Great!
Night Hawk what transmitter do you have
@@tybransford4079 FSi6x from bangood it came with a data transfer cable so I used it. You don't need all those wires.
Can we use FS-CT6B transmitter
Don't know. I don't own one to check.
can i connect my fly sky model: FS-CT6B transmitter on this software?
I haven't tested it but i guess yes as all controllers talk serial data with the simulator.
Very nice
Thanks!
bought a cable like this, it apears has a controler in windows but freerider doesn't detect it :/
I haven't used freerider so I don't know how it works. Check out the settings somewhere to see if you can select it.
Same problem
so here is my problem. I had a walker 4#3b and learnt to fly mode 1. I also flew Realflight G4 I think and got ok at flying helis. Now I have I6, I am now mode 2, and I think the break has allowed me to adapt fairly easily. However, I have noticed in R7 the throttle for heli is so sensitive. It is impossible to maintain a stable hover! I am also struggling to fly inverted and I feel I generally don't have the control I had with mode 1. But seriously I am moving the throttle in the smallest increments and still, there are sudden huge changes. When I see other demos with controller on-screen they move the throttle quite a bit for a nice controlled flight... Utterly confused :-/ Anyone got any tips and ideas?
I only got Realflight a couple of days ago so I'm just trying it out. However, there is a menu where you can calibrate the sensitivity and the movement of all of the sticks. By default, they were garbage but after calibration, it is much smoother. Also, I've never flown a heli so far so I don't have the experience with them. What you say that you have sudden changes, maybe it is a cable issue? Double check that all of the connections are firm and that nothing controls wise changes when you move the cable around...
@@TasteTheCode Already calibrated. I wonder if there is noise but the cable is fine. Very frustrating not being sure what normal should be!
@@ollyk22 Try to find someone in your close proximity with the same controller so maybe check if you have a defective unit...

Is jitter from the usb controller?
Some but nothing too serious to affect flight. If yours has more than check the connections on the transmitter or at the join with the USB.
Will this work on windows 10 what computer operating system are you using thanks
Yes it will. I have this setup on Windows 10 Home Edition and the sim is called ClearView. rcflightsim.com/
Thanks
@@richkimmerle You are welcomed!
I can't. it can't detect my FSI6-X at all
Are you sure you have the right cable? There is also one other cable that does not have the "audio" jack but directly has USB and s-video type connectors. That one is for firmware update only.
@@TasteTheCode
I have that cable already.
And can't find PPM word.
Check for any game controllers in control panel or missing drivers. Other than that, I don't know what else might be the problem.
Thank you for the video. Your TX has 10 ch. So does the simulator detects all 10 ch on your TX? Can you use all 10 ch or you can only use 6 ch on the simulator?
The firmware I have on the TX only allows for 6CH. I haven't used more than that to know.
Does it work with FrSky Taranis X9D Plus ?
I do not have that controller but if it has the same port on the back than, yes, it will work.
Hii, is this simulator(clear view) free to download or paid??
You can download a trial with some free flight time included but for unlimited flight time, you will need to pay.
its great but it is not free
Yes but they need to make a living as well.
Is this paid
Yes, Clear View costs money to get the full list of RC planes that they have. The free version is limited to just one plane and area.

Didn't help at all 👎
Try watch it again.
This reveiw is badly done and does not teach anything at all....sort of like first setup from instructions...sorry i give it a thumbs down
Well I'm glad that you gave it thumbs down as this is definitely not a review! As you said, it is a first setup instructional video on how to get started.
AHAHAHAHA just read the video title keko
