From gothic death/doom in the beginning, up to a uniquely beautiful mix of symphonic, gothic, power, death and even some doom traces after Perils included (except for Dim Days of Dolor), as here death is slightly being replaced with black. From a mix of 3 genres to a mix of 5 or even 6 genres. I value variety. And they did it. That's an evolution of a band

Before anyone can say she don't belong in Sirenia. Let me educate you. She has been in Sirenia for 13yrs. She was the vocals in the Sirenian Choir that does the choir background for all the albums Sirenia has done. She is not new to Sirenia.
First heard of them through ITunes recommendations in the lead up to “Dim Days of Dolor” hearing that album got me hooked, haven’t listened to them since then really, only just rediscovered them and this song got me hooked again

So far, they are equally first alongside Evanescence, Lacuna Coil and Epica as my personal clash for the best band in symphonic metal is between Sirenia and Epica with a probably slight edge for Sirenia just because of small style preference.

Delain has neither of those. They have a simple keyboards. Pseudo-symphonic metal.
This song is the epitome of all the things that make neo classical prog metal awesome. It should be taught in school music classes as the example of what the genre is like.
She's been with the band since the second album (albeit as part of the choirs before becoming a lead singer). So she obviously has a history with the band.
I love the music they are creating, Emanuele has a great voice but I am not fan of her, she is good for choirs but I feel her voice is quite monotone, I wish they had an instrumental version, Great for Sirenia they produce music all the time

Since Ailyn was kicked out of the band, the views of the band has gotten lower and lower. It is such a shame that this video has not racked up over 100,000 views as yet. The lead singer is not marketable. She has only a dark coloured voice and nothing else.
A brief history of this band. It started out in total obscurity and settled as a D. Found Ailyn and became a solid A-. FIRED AILYN and went back to obscurity. Now have new singer and back to B. Well at least they seem to really know their alphabet! Ailyn has been working with Secret Rule from Italy and also going through different people piecing together a new band of her own. Its good to see Sirenia back up and running but common guys, PLEASE DON'T COPY CAT FREAKIN NIGHTWISH WITH ALL THIS FEM SINGER FIRING SHIT. Ok? Its not to much to ask really.
Emmanuelle Zoldan's actually not new at all. She has been with the band for a long time. Since the beginning actually. Only difference is that Emmanuelle was only there for choirs for most of the albums and did only one song from the EP. All of that changed with the last album.

They never quite gave Monika Pederson the chance she deserved so to me this band has always treated their front women like crap and I can not responsibly endorse that.
@@rodgill9376 Thats cool. I just have known these guys personally for close to 17 years. Monika Pederson actually got this band on the map. No one quite knows what/how happened to her. They kinda floundered for a few years adrift until they stumbled onto Ailyn who came with some vocal limitations but OMG she brought this totally sultry persona to them. You see, this stuff is STAGE. Its a form of theater so your stage persona means alot. Sharon Adel is basically ALL stage persona and its grand. Dianne Geirsbergen had floundered with unknown bands until she got mixed up with Xandria and then OMG she found her stage persona. That was short. It was grand. I can say I prefer Sirenia like this as to wandering adrift doing nothing for years. Its going to take work for this gal to develop front woman confidence. I am pulling for her.
All of their latest videoclips look the same. Also, they sound like a hybrid of Nightwish and Xandria. However, Zoldan sounds way better than in all previous songs and should continue singing like this.
