I like the idea of Loguetown/Reverse Mountain/Whiskey Peak/Little Garden/Drum Island, and then maybe a couple 2ish hour long Alabasta episodes. Either way, I'm just happy we're getting more. As someone who started my One Piece journey with the OPLA, I think they hit it out of the park. I've finished Dressrosa, and man, I am SO thankful I got over my distaste of anime, because IMO, this is one of the best stories ever told.

Honestly filming more than 8 episodes would solve my main worries. Loguetown-->Drum Island has about the same amount of content as all of alabasta, and all together would be twice the amount of episodes/chapters as we saw covered in Season 1
I hope with the Rumbar Pirates, they don't reveal Brook specifically, almost not at all. A background character that is "hidden" in plain sight, maybe from the back and just a bit of his outfit and afro. It was a lot more meaningful, to me at least, that a random ship encounter with no hint that it's an ongoing story that you mostly forgot about by the time it happens that leads to the legendary musical talent, Brook! No bones about it
The only thing I want is for there to be a weekly release instead of a batch release. Give the community something to talk about every week for a few months and come together. If you do a batch release, then people have to avoid the content until they’ve watched everything and nobody gets involved. No community.
They should shoot ALL Straw Hat Kid scenes as early as now. It would be hard to get new kid lookalikes. They should shoot Luffy Ace Sabo backstory and Sanji Germa 66 backstory as early as now

This isn't possible in the slightest if you know how film production works. It costs likely more money than an entire season for scenes that you can't be even sure will ever air. Instead of the kids now most of the adult characters will look different when we approach the point in time when the flashback is relevant - because they are so minor there many of them won't return and have to be replaced. When the flashbacks become relevant the directors and writers also could want a slightly different approach to let them fit better in the current story - and this option now is gone too. If you want to see the worst example of such force at play look at the solution of How I Met Your Mother where they filmed the flashback first to prevent the kids from aging.
I don't think they would even get to the flashback. If, and only if, this 2nd season sells MORE than the 1st season, they'd make the 3rd, and so on. So it's safe to think that Water 7 / Enies Lobby would be the season finale of One Piece LA. After that point, it'd be pure speculation/gamble.
With the knowledge that we have from the manga, and the fact that they include Garp in Roger execution, it makes sense if they are talking about God Valley.
Love that for the past week we have been getting so much updates on the Live Action series, so I can’t wait to see what will be next especially since Nami’s birthday 7/3 is up next & I wonder if they will hint to something else just like how they did with Luffy & Usopp Birthdays

Splitting season 2 into two parts makes the most sense imo. Part 1 can be the build up to Alabasta (Log Town, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Kingdom with Chopper joining the SH crew being the climax) and part 2 can be all of Alabasta.

Ditching seasons and instead going by arcs would be pretty interesting and might feel more natural, but what's funny is that out of any manga to do that to, One Piece is probably the one that benefits the least from it since almost every saga is about the same length anyway, so you can get away with just doing 1 saga to 1 season, and with "hour-long" episodes having such flexible runtimes and streaming services having a flexible number of episodes per season compared to television, you can always squeeze or stretch stuff to keep the ratio. So, it's interesting, I'm just not sure how much of a positive effect it'll have.
I’ve heard about the in medias res opening with Luffy on the execution board before and I really hope they don’t go that route. It’s not as clever as it sounds and it honestly makes Loguetown look like some random place and Luffy’s execution seem like another silly daily occurrence. Loguetown should be a proper prologue to what’s coming and Luffy’s execution is an important event that deserves the buildup
I'm nervous with season 2. East blue and little garden are very episodic, the pace is not great. so the fact that season 1 went well creates expectation, but little garden is kind very weak. We will see true one piece story telling until we reach alabasta. That's the arc that hook me for at least 600 episodes in the anime.
Maybe they can cut whiskey peak and combine with little garden to spice up that arc. I agree Little Garden is one of the weakest arcs in one piece. People act like this Live Action is gonna make it to Elbaf when the manga hasn’t gotten there yet.
Another reason what made One Piece so great is the revelations you would get further on down the line... if they are releasing revelations early... then when you get to further on down the line, you are left with poo and cobwebs.
I don't agree at all about revealing stuff early, what makes good writing is leaving a mystery and reveal it long after, if you keep revealing stuff without foreshadowing makes it bad writing.

If they released all the episodes one at a time, I would be OK with that. One Piece is not a nothing sandwich. Something exciting happens in every episode, so if we have to savor it the wait will definitely be worth it.

I like the idea of filming season 2 and season 3 back to back - because if they stick to an 8 Episode format, that is nowhere near enough to properly include the Alabasta arc. HOWEVER, if they do it right, season 2 can lead right up to Alabasta, and you can tease a quick turnaround for a season 3 with those 8 episodes, which would be the entirety of Alabasta, coming 3-6 months later. That way, it keeps your audience engaged longer, AND gives them something to talk about. I can see the format continuing like this throughout the series as well, with the first "half" of 8 episodes being the crew getting to the island where the "main arc" happens, and the following 8 episodes dropping 3 months later where the main arc is covered. Season 2 - (Prelude to Alabasta) leads into Season 3 - (Alabasta) Season 4 - (Jaya) leads into Season 5 - (Skypiea) Season 6 - {Water 7) leads into Season 7 - (Enies Lobby) Season 8 - (Long Ring Long Land aka Davyback fight) leads into Season 9 - Thriller Bark * I know this is canonically out of order, however, if the series would adapt this format, this is a better spot for the Davyback fight, as placing it where it is supposed to go would break up the flow of the first 8 episodes leading into the big bads in the second 8) Season 10 - Sabaody Archipelago (Extended Season, 2 parts) Season 11 - Amazon Lilly leads into Season 12 - Impel Down Season 13 - Marineford War (Extended Season, 2 parts) This format would allow the show to go on for a total of 13 seasons, or if they want 16 episodes a season, that means 8 seasons complete with mid-arc cliffhangers. Then keep the cast and start over with the time skip and call the new series "One Piece: New World"

no. loguetown + alabasta saga is 122 chapters long. season 2 covered 95 chapters in 8 episodes. 10 episodes is enough.

I can see the format continuing like this throughout the series as well, with the first "half" of 8 episodes being the crew getting to the island where the "main arc" happens, and the following 8 episodes dropping 3 months later where the main arc is covered.
Season 2 - (Prelude to Alabasta) leads into Season 3 - (Alabasta)
Season 4 - (Jaya) leads into Season 5 - (Skypiea)
Season 6 - {Water 7) leads into Season 7 - (Enies Lobby)
Season 8 - (Long Ring Long Land aka Davyback fight) leads into Season 9 - Thriller Bark * I know this is canonically out of order, however, if the series would adapt this format, this is a better spot for the Davyback fight, as placing it where it is supposed to go would break up the flow of the first 8 episodes leading into the big bads in the second 8)
Season 10 - Sabaody Archipelago (Extended Season, 2 parts)
Season 11 - Amazon Lilly leads into Season 12 - Impel Down
Season 13 - Marineford War (Extended Season, 2 parts)
This format would allow the show to go on for a total of 13 seasons, or if they want 16 episodes a season, that means 8 seasons complete with mid-arc cliffhangers.
Then keep the cast and start over with the time skip and call the new series "One Piece: New World"
I'm just speculating here, but my guess is they'll end the season with Crocodile's hook in Luffy' chest.
I'd prefer batches of episodes throughout the years.
Im good with them skipping Skypedia arc, they will need to make some tough decisions if they plan to jeep this going, way way way too much to cover.

man hope they aren't showing God valley in flipping season 2. I mean is this a trend? wanting to show spoilers from season 20 to early seasons? Just so they can generate more interest. I mean the spoiler of Garp being luffys granddad... fine you wanted to get more seasons... fine... but literally just keep spoiling stuff instead of just doing the source material? I think Oda knows how to craft a story better than these hollywood directors who just want to rebrand/recraft something to make their name gold. As for showing garp if it is helmeppo/colby training at HQ fine... anything more and it is cringe. Part of the reason why One Piece is so good is the recurring characters don't happen every episode but you wait literally 100s and see them again and it is exciting. If I saw Garp in every episode of one piece I wouldn't be excited to see him in water seven... common sense.
