The show started off with Will. I'd appreciate him being the main focus of season 5. A confession to Mike, being able to spy on Vecna, some happiness, and a final showdown with him would be amazing. He gave Mike a heartfelt confession and lied by saying it was how El felt. He made a painting just for Mike but pretended El commissioned it. That huge speech spurred on by Will wasn't really about El. When Mike was giving that speech, he was talking about his love for an image Will gave him that he claimed was El, but was secretly about himself. Let Will be happy. He's suffered enough.

This is absolutely amazing. Thank you for such an elaborate recap. It's such a soothing voice as an audiobook but supported with the visuals. I enjoyed this very much. It deserves much more likes and appreciation!
This is perfect. Only thing is, a demagorgan didn’t take will. Vecna did. The lock on the door opening, the lights flickering. That’s Henry using his powers. If you look you can see Vecnas long hand in the scene where Wills being chased. Henry used the portal Eleven opened to take Will. It’s why Will was still alive. Barb died from the demagorgan. Almost everyone who’s come in contact with one has died. They hunt and kill. Except in Wills case, because Vecna took him. The static on the phone, the visions Joyce had, the noises, the radio turning on and off in Wills room. All Vecna. It all started with Will, it’s going to end with him.
The casting is amazing as well. Each actor/actress does the best job playing their individual characters. I can’t imagine anyone else playing any of the roles.
Nobody has brought this up so I will... Has anyone else questioned the fact that Henry said that it was his plan to frame his dad Victor for the murders of his sister and mother, which means he intentionally played the music that pulled Victor out of his trance right? I just wonder why he would do that versus just releasing him from the trance... Makes me wonder if there's more behind the music aspect than what we currently know
We see him in Vecna form release Nancy out of her trance on his own will. Remember, he was only a kid at that moment and didn't get the hang of his powers completely yet, but now that he does, he's able to do greater things.
also the fact that he said he tried to kill his dad and finish them all off but he only didn’t bc he passed out first…so ig he didn’t really plan for his dad to be framed🤔
yeah that's what I thought watching it, he literally failed to kill his father and outright says "I didn't know my limits" and passed out, he did NOT plan that...
Dude, this was incredible. I can’t give you the amount of respect I have for not only your step by step breakdown of everything but the perfect work with video edits, music, and the voice to balance out the explanation of action and the drama of everything. I had to give you a like and a subscription. You are talented. How long did this take you if you don’t mind me asking?
I watched the show since day one and has always been in love with it and to see hyper droid explain the story in explicit detail makes me want to rewatch my favorite show
This is the video I needed. It's not just a summary, the editing and the voiceover are excellently done. I just couldn't see the difference until I saw something higher in quality. Well done.
Season 5 will go back to the game they were playing in season 1, at the beginning. Somehow this will all stem around Will Byers, and what he was mentally going through in season 1. The song, “should I stay, or should I go,” will also be a key factor. I also think Lucas sister, “Erica,” will be a survivor and key in the outcome, of season 5. I think in the end, Will will be found in the club house, that was where he was found by the demogorgon in the first episode. Sort of like The Wizard of Oz, and how it played out. Hawkins is Kansas, and The Upside Down being Oz.
I think that Max is going to play a serious roll in defeating Vecna when 11 couldn't find her in the the darkness I believe that Max is hiding in Vecna's mind since she accidentally stumbled upon his hideout and was surprised that she ended up there and Vecna even says that his victims are not dead but with him in his mind so with that being said Max could possibly be the Mind Flayer for Vecna with that being said she would be able to spy on him and stop him before his end game starts for real some how in my theory Max will give 11 the edge she needs for the fatal blow or it's possible that 11 might have to contend with will as I'm sure he's going to be manipulated by Vecna so it could very well be two epic fights happening at once not to mention the the creatures that are now separated from the hive remember Dustin did develop a bond with the demidog Dart that may also play a role in the fight with Vecna another possibility the victims he absorbed May break free with some help from Max so in the end instead of building an army for himself he has actually built his own doom just theories I've pondered lmk what you guys think if you make it this far reading
both Max and Will are going to be extremely important in Season 5 I can already tell. For now though Max seems to be completely braindead as Vecna has "consumed" her soul/whatever they go with
I cannot wait for S.5.. I’m so interested to see where the duffer brothers take the plot next, especially each character and new ones! Although I wish it would release sooner! 2024 is a long ways away. Atleast we have videos like this in the meantime ! Awesome. I predict there will be.. more deaths More characters (KAS) (NEW MONSTER?) WILL will be a huge part next season. Time jump? MAX coming back having “powers” I am soooooooo excited
I agree but i also thing season 5 will bring us a new world where the world has gone into a post apocalyptic state caused by vencna and the gates as the particles spread across the globe making the real world just like the upside down
This was _incredibly_ well done. Most people struggle to narrate compellingly, but you managed to create dramatic tension in a recap! I think this sort of video is definitely your strength. Looking at the rest of your channel, I'd suggest trying your hand at a video like this, but for your favorite video games. (Hbomberguy's _Pathologic_ video and Joseph Anderson's _The Witness_ videos are good examples of what I mean.) If you're any good at coming up with alternate stories for games that disappointed the community (like The Closer Look's _The Last of Us II_ video does), you might want to consider something along those lines, as well.
planning on more stuff like this, I think storytelling is what's working for me and my channel, so I should definitely stick to that if I can, and expand my categories to games/shows/movies and more, but thank you so much, I appericate it :)
You described that brilliantly, I was riveted, and realised how many little things I'd forgotten or didn't even notice, excellent excellent job 👏👏👏👏👏🌟😀👍.
I remember the story about the boy who was trapped in wall back in the 80's, becuase my mom asked me, did I hear anything about the boy who was trapped in a dimension of the wall? And I was in middle school! She wasn't joking around. Yep, that gave me the He-Be-Gee- Bees back then. The Duffer Brothers did an amazing job bringing this story back to life. By the way, that was a great recap of all the events leading up to Stranger Things 5. Great Job!

Thank you very much for that fantastic and very detailed recap! It must have taken ages, and I am grateful for all the hard work. I also learned lots of details that I had either missed or not grasped. I shall watch it again before watching season 5. Great job!
thank you! in order to make videos like this I actually read lots of articles and things aloud instead of in my head so I can constantly keep trying to improve my speech skills and stuff, and mostly just to improve how long I can talk for to make recording sessions easier haha, so I'm glad it's reflecting a bit :)
Almost everything in this series is flawlessly planned, but I have a couple of issues with Season 1 that I really hope they provide explanations for in Season 5, otherwise they'll turn into pretty big plot holes. 1. The fact that multiple gates to the upside down would open and close all over Hawkins. According to what we are shown in later seasons, only great sources of energy/powerful psychic interactions can open gates to the Upside Down. We know demogorgons do not have the ability to open gates, so are we supposed to believe that Vecna was opening little gates and sending non-thirsty-for-blood demogorgons to kidnap random kids? Maybe the way Season 5 will be centered in Will is based around this. 2. The fact that Will and Barb were chased by a demogorgon but didn't get devoured like the scientists (instead, the vines were taking over them and feeding off their bodies, as seen by Eleven when she was looking for them from the school's improvised isolation tank). It sounds more like Vecna's doing, the same way he had Chrissy and Fred displayed on those spikes inside of his lair. But again, for what reason? Why Will and Barb out of everyone? 3. The way Joyce was able to communicate with Will through the lights even though the Upside Down froze in time the day Will went missing. This also applies to the decorations for the Snow Ball that are also present in the Upside Down and visible on the closing scene for season 2. But in this second case it might just be an aesthetic choice, it doesn't bother me since it doesn't affect the plot further. Does anyone have theories for these things? Let's start a discussion!
for 1, the demogorgon escaped the lab when el touched her. it escaped through the vent in the lab, and explored the world, being able to take will and barb
@@joelbotchway200 I think the question being asked for 1. is how did the Demagorgan take Will to the upsidedown from the shed if there's no gate in the shed?
the Demogorgon doesn't have the ability to open a full scaled gate, more like small portals that opens when he enter and take victims across dimensions. portals close eventually after used. gate don't.
For 1, I think whatever means the Demogorgans can scent blood is enough of a connection for them to open mini, temporary gates. But this only works if a bigger permanent gate is already open. For 2, I think the Demorgorgan just lashed out as it it had never encountered humans before and the lab security probably retaliated in kind. Once out on the loose, it starts to treat humans as more normal prey for it to capture and use as incubator/occasional bite for lunch I guess. 3, no idea.
I heard the whole approximate 3 hour story and I found it very interesting. I saw all 4 seasons of Stranger Things. I'm a fan now. My sister likes the show too. I just want to be mentally prepared for Season 5 of the show, the final season of the show. I'm happy that El reunited with Hop in Season 4. It was a touching and emotional moment back in Season 3 when she read his note. The reunion with them in Season 4 was even more touching and emotional. I can't wait for Season 5.
I listen to videos while working and came across this, it was so spot on when I got home I literally watched from start to finish and am speechless fam! A damn good job! 🤝🏽
Thank you so much for the video. I really appreciate how you focused on the story beats that mattered, while skipping topics that added little to nothing to the plot (ie. reintroduction of stancy/jancy love-triangle, robin's personality change and lovelife, getting-high moments...). It actually puts the stakes of S4 into focus, which was blurred after some of those distractions. I used to think the goals of the California group was too disconnected, but now I see how they fit with the other groups. They still did not get as much screen time as they deserved, but they still mattered in the grand scheme of things. I'm really loking forward to S5 and how the whole group comes together to fight the Upside Down.
I was 11 minutes in when I saw how long the video is 💀. I just watched the last season and wanted a recap so I can get the full scope of the show and now I can’t wait to finish this video. Amazing work. 11:49

Thank you so much - it will be great to have this to watch in my own time: I skipped series 4, as I can’t handle too many plot lines…this recap will help to ease myself into the story, & understand Eleven & Mike’s plot line from the beginning! 🙏🏻💔🙏🏽
Thank you so much for all your hard work on this recap! I've seen a few others and this is the best I've seen. It's really well done and clear. You did a great job in telling the story and putting together the video.
Joyce Maldonado, a spunky teen known for dating bad boys like Lonnie Byers but whose true passion is theater; James Hopper Jr., the police chief’s rebellious son; and Bob Newby, a nerdy outcast who is hopelessly in love with Joyce. When Joyce decides to put on a play to try to earn a scholarship to a college in Indianapolis, her classmates band together to help her, which consists Charles Sinclair and Sue Anderson (who eventually become Lucas’ parents), Ted Wheeler and Karen Childress (Mike’s eventual parents), Walter Henderson and Claudia Yount (Dustin’s parents) and Alan Munson (Eddie’s father). As is often inevitable within high school theater, Henry ( new kid migrated to Hawkins) and Patty (Bob’s adopted sister) strike up a romantic relationship. The two bond over through sharing comic books and being outcasted - Henry because of his dark past, and Patty because she doesn’t know who her mother is. As a child, when Henry was in Nevada, his birthplace, had an unexpected encounter with stolen experimental technology . It was an experiment conducted by Dr. Brenner and his staff during 1950, also known as Nevada Experiment. It was conducted as an attempt to reproduce what had happened to the Eldridge in 1943. (( During 1940 ,The USS Eldridge, a US navy ship, was used in this government experiments known as both "Project Rainbow" and the Philadelphia Experiment. In 1943, the ship went missing; the ship had traveled to another Dimension, with most of the crew being killed in the process. Only Dr. Martin Brenner's father survived the disaster; on his deathbed, he finally divulged the truth about the incident to his son, Dr.Brenner.)) The government facility that hosted the Stolen experiment was located in or around Nevada. However, a rogue staff member defected and stole an essential equipment from Brenner, hiding the equipment inside a nearby cave system. According to one account, it was this equipment which changed the trajectory of Henry Creel's life forever. Henry, who was only a small child, was exploring the Nevada caves one day while playing with his spyglass. While exploring, Henry stumbled across the scientific equipment; the technology unexpectedly activated, transporting Henry and the rogue staff member to another Dimension , killing the staff member in the process. In the alternate world, Henry saw glimpses of strange creatures and was exposed to the influence of a shadowy entity (Mind flayer). Henry survived the ordeal and eventually returned home after 12 hours, but with wildly different blood, and an altered personality. Brenner later recovered the stolen equipment, also finding the spyglass belonging to Henry. According to this account, it was Henry’s exposure to the Mind Flayer at a young age that he now has an inexplicable connection to another dimension that results him to develop special psychokinetic abilities. This leads Henry's parents to notice a permanent shift in their son's personality. Henry's mom also doubted her son having mental problems. After this , his family moved to Hawkins because he was kicked out of his old school for severely hurting another student. As a result, his mother Virginia constantly worries about him, while his father Victor , who suffers from World War II-related PTSD, blames himself and drinks the pain away. Meanwhile, Henry finds it harder and harder to control his urge to kill. As his connection with Patty blossoms, Henry offers to try and help her find her mother using his abilities, but this only seems to give this shadow-like entity - the Mind Flayer - more power over him. When neighborhood pets start dying of mysterious - and gory - circumstances, Joyce, Hopper and Bob take it upon themselves to save Hawkins. They single out Victor as their main suspect, and set an elaborate plan to catch him at the opening day of Joyce’s play. Since Henry is one of the play’s stars, his father has to show be show up...But, it all goes haywire when Henry is nowhere to be found. Instead, Henry has been taken to the Hawkins National Laboratory by none other than Dr. Martin Brenner after his mother expressed heightened concern for the safety of those around him. Dr. Brenner also know through the founded spyglasses ,that Henry was the one who travelled to another dimension with the scientific equipment. After witnessing his powers, Dr. Brenner tries to recruit Henry for a sinister experiment - but Henry refuses to participate, wanting desperately to be normal. Fueled by his love for Patty, he escapes from the lab. But after learning of his mother’s betrayal, one night he kills her and his sister. After Henry’s father, Victor, was falsely presumed to be the killer, Victor was imprisoned and driven further into madness. He then collapsed due to overpowered. Henry eventually awoke later that night and headed to Hawkins Highschool, as he had learned Dr. Brenner was attempting to find Patty. A confrontation between Henry, Patty and Brenner then took place at Hawkins High atop the stage of Joyce Maldonado's teathtre. Brenner tried to convince Henry that Patty was his weakness while Patty desperately told Henry to ignore him. As Henry struggled for control, he informed Patty that he had managed to find her birth mother, a singer at the Stardust Casino in Las Vegas. With Henry feeling overwhelmed, the shadowy entity once again took control of Henry, and Henry threw Patty off the stage. After this, Henry fell unconscious once more, and Brenner took him back to Hawkins Lab. Patty was later hospitalized with minor injuries. He was than taken by Dr. Martin Brenner to Hawkins National Laboratory to be studied; he was designated 001, becoming the laboratory's first child test subject. Brenner implanted "Soteria" into Henry's neck, a miniature device that suppressed his powers and apparently tracked his movements; in Henry's own words, he had become a "prisoner". In time, Henry became one of several orderlies who assisted Brenner and attended the lab. Time then flashes forward, and Patty found her mother, and that Henry assisting Dr. Brenner to replicate Henry's powers in seventeen other child test subjects, who also had their movements and lives restricted to the lab's confines - one of whom is No.011 In 1979, Henry tricked test subject Eleven into removing the Soteria chip with her powers. In a fit of rage, Henry used his restored powers to brutally murder the other test subjects and workers, and attempted to do the same to Eleven. However, Eleven stood her ground and ultimately overpowered him, sending him through a gate to an alternate dimension; there, he gradually transformed into the being known as Vecna. He became an explorer of the realm, discovering an shadowy , storm-like mass of particles ( which he saw as a child ) , and used his powers to reconstitute it into a giant, spider-like entity ( which he liked ); a being that would come to be known as “the Mind Flayer".
My guess is that Vecna/001 is the commander and mastermind of the Upside-Down, and the Demogorgans are his soldiers. The Mind Flayer is another much more powerful force that has sided with Vecna with his masterplan.
to be fair, I think the line "the shadow is in THEM" was a clue that the mind flayer is the hive mind itself, and the only reason it looks like a spider is because Henry wanted it to look like that

This is one of the best summarization’s of stranger things I’ve ever seen, good job!
tysm! :)
I recently finished the entire 4 seasons in about a week and honestly it's a masterpiece or storytelling and acting.
Stranger Things is truly a masterpiece of a show
The casting is amazing as well. Each actor/actress does the best job playing their individual characters. I can’t imagine anyone else playing any of the roles.
Netflix needs to hire you to do the recaps for the seasons
hahahaha thank you so much :))
lowkey felt bad for will the whole second season. He didnt ask for any of that.
exactly, he's got some MEGA tramua
And his new step dad died
@TiccTicc probably a pride thing. he wanted to seem like he was oh so smart🤪
@@lookherekook1258 sounds like vecna 😂
As Erica kills Vecna in the D&D game at the start of season 4, I believe it’s possible that she is the one that kills actual Vecna
imagine Erica is turned into the true hero of Hawkins

That would be awesome. I love that smart mouth little girl.

Dude, this was incredible. I can’t give you the amount of respect I have for not only your step by step breakdown of everything but the perfect work with video edits, music, and the voice to balance out the explanation of action and the drama of everything. I had to give you a like and a subscription. You are talented. How long did this take you if you don’t mind me asking?
it took several weeks, i couldnt give you a good estimate because i'd probably be wrong, but it took a long time hahaha :)
@@HyperDroidBravo 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 to your masterpiece sir 😊❤
I watched the show since day one and has always been in love with it and to see hyper droid explain the story in explicit detail makes me want to rewatch my favorite show
it's such a good show
“Dustin knows Lucas is no longer an option” that was a great line
hahahaha
Will will be Dorothy, Vecna will be The Wizard
For now though Max seems to be completely braindead as Vecna has "consumed" her soul/whatever they go with
i hope that this is whats going to happen as i dont want max to die
I love it. I hope so
Wait so Max can get her eyesight back? Maybe she COULD get powers!
@@HyperDroid well 11 did kind off healed Max, or smth, so she might be in a long coma or whatever

I cannot wait for S.5.. I’m so interested to see where the duffer brothers take the plot next, especially each character and new ones! Although I wish it would release sooner! 2024 is a long ways away. Atleast we have videos like this in the meantime ! Awesome.
I predict there will be..
more deaths
More characters (KAS) (NEW MONSTER?)
WILL will be a huge part next season.
Time jump?
MAX coming back having “powers”
I am soooooooo excited
They actually said that they’re not adding any new characters in the next season
I agree but i also thing season 5 will bring us a new world where the world has gone into a post apocalyptic state caused by vencna and the gates as the particles spread across the globe making the real world just like the upside down
im really curious and excited to see how they execute Season 5...
@@Garzaza69 Honestly, i just think that mike will die, vecna is coming back, and so is eddie but as a vampire.
Its been confirmed max is braindead and blind...fate worse than death

Seeing the long runtime of the video actually made me want to click on this video more, i knew it would be way more in-depth than any other timeline.
that's good to hear!

Great Job!

3, no idea.
@@timosman9172 it can probably create small portals which it may have done to take will
I like how you started with S4 cuz it lines up with all the lore what an amazing video
I’m forty minutes in dude! You did a good ass job with this recap!

Thank you Hyper Droid. You put so much work into this. It is amazing.
16:37. You point out that the demogorgen took him. But I do believe that was Vecna who took Will.
I'm pretty sure it's the Demogorgon. Why did it make Demogorgon noises? When people believe this theory I ask them that. They never explain it.

Definitely gonna re-watch this right before the 5th season

So , how did Henry got powers...? Most of you have this doubt, nah... Here is the explanation....⬇️
Spent a lot of time on this... so please like....❤
Joyce Maldonado, a spunky teen known for dating bad boys like Lonnie Byers but whose true passion is theater; James Hopper Jr., the police chief’s rebellious son; and Bob Newby, a nerdy outcast who is hopelessly in love with Joyce.
Only Dr. Martin Brenner's father survived the disaster; on his deathbed, he finally divulged the truth about the incident to his son, Dr.Brenner.))
The government facility that hosted the Stolen experiment was located in or around Nevada.
Brenner to replicate Henry's powers in seventeen other child test subjects, who also had their movements and lives restricted to the lab's confines - one of whom is No.011
In 1979, Henry tricked test subject Eleven into removing the Soteria chip with her powers.
@arjunbr3997 this comment is so underrated that the duffer brothers should see it themselves. good job!
This deserves more likes
This is absolutely amazing. Thank you for the hard work literally mind blown
