Fun Fact: The voice actor who played as Aang did all of his voice acting in New York where he lived, whereas the other actors were in LA recording their lines in the studio together. It wasn’t until the last episode where Aang’s voice actor flew to LA to record the last episode of the show with the other voice actors, according to Sokka’s voice actor
I know this goes without saying, but Mark Hamill did an amazing job as Ozi, pure evil. Especially In the finally I heard hints of his "Joker" voice which made it all the more thrilling. Truly one of the best finales in animation/cartoon history 🔥
i don't get why everyone makes fun of ozai for running, its the smart thing to do like you would be dumb to just stand there and take a lethal strike. besides he wasn't running from fear he was running to evade attacks and the whole time while evading he was also attacking back. not saying that there wasnt any fear but that wasn't why he was running like he was its not like he was trying to get away
Everything comes full circle in avatar. Everything in the avatar comes in full circle. So like the swamp guy and guru lessons: everything and everyone is connected. Time is an illusion and so is death. The four nations cover the entire world, team avatar has been running into the same people no matter where they go. And those people run into people that team avatar also have met. The white lotus meme bears just happen to be all teachers of team avatar. Zuko just happened to run into jet after they both separately met team avatar on their own. Suki running into azula. Zuko just always seems to be running into ancestor Rokus reincarnation. Everyone and everything is connected.
We can see it also with how they fight. Zuko uses his old breakdance like technique to beat general zhao and azula, while aang uses his first waterbending technique to washout all the fires
25:45 It's funny you say that because Sokka's character quite literally goes from the typical toxic male mindset into an absolute king. It's a really good character development from him
iro lesson on the four elements: each element has an important trait that when together it makes you whole. if you pull from one place your path becomes rigid and stale. You fall out of balance. This can happen to anyone. And this also happened to every villain in avatar and legend of Korra. To azula, ozi, zuko at some point, and sozion. Every lesson in Avatar comes back to haunt us in the series. And in life.
The Zuko & Azula fight showcased Zuko taking Uncle Iroh's advice from like season 2 of looking at the other bending styles to further improve upon his fire bending. Like how Iroh created the lightning redirection through watching water benders. In the fight he uses Fire, Earth, Water, & Air styles which is part of why he has such an easy time. He knows Azula is ultra aggressive & soley relies on fire styles & anger/rage but he stands his ground like Earth & plays defensively. The break dance was all 4 mixed together. The thrust into the air & downward cut was inspired by air. Water was just fluid movements & the lightning redirection.
Best animated series of the decade! That is how you properly conclude a TV show. Glad you enjoyed that. Recommend reacting to the Best animated series of the 2010s: GRAVITY FALLS! Just like Avatar, great writing, memorable and quirky characters, best Disney and frightening villain ever, a proper and EPIC finale, and IMO funnier. Avatar did great in the humor department but G.F had me laughing harder. On Disney Plus; only two seasons.
it does... it get's me every time so emotional. iroh scene, aang geting angry emotional, all characters when they are in danger or nearly dying and ofc the ending. i just tear up like a waterfal.

OMG I could finally finish this video!! I’ve been too busy and working mannn - also technically there are a lot of waterbenders, the southern water tribe didn’t exist 50 sem-odd years ago since it was just runways from the north - and we only saw the capital city for the northern water tribe, they are massive which is why the fire around just lets them be - and Aang has killed mad people in the show he just don’t know it 😭
My best friend is an anime lover, it's all he watches, his entire room is covered in anime posters and he has anime swords on his wall, but I can not convince this man to watch Avatar, he said it looks dumb and childish, I've been trying for 3 years and he simply refuses to even give it a chance. Bro is MISSING OUT
In the lore, air benders have the ability to even control the air within other people. In the air temple when aang goes back and discovers the monk (Idk how to spell his name) surrounded by fire nation soldiers... how did those fire nation soldiers die? They got all of the air from their lungs bended out similar to blood bending.
Not gonna lie, I think Ty Lee and Zhuko would make a potential and good couple, because of the beach episode. When Zuko started burning his painting of his family, she asked him why and he said "you don't know me so why don't you mind your own business' '. And ty lee scoffed and said " I know you". It is just that particular line isn't something you would expect from her at all. From Azula, iroh, mai or Zuko's mom sure, but not from Ty lee. And it's also the first we've ever seen them interact with each other. And how deep she said it sounds like that could have developed some kind of relationship. Plus when zuko ended up insulting her, she wasn't gonna take any crap from him and she defended herself. Zuko is brooding and Ty Lee is so optimistic. They'd actually would fit well together
Nah, much like Zutara, sounds good as fanfic, not so much as a healthy relationship. Ty Lee "tolerates" broodiness but she sees it as a bad thing to expel and Zuko is not emotionally capable to get close to Ty Lee's level of optimism and finds it kind of annoying.🤷♀️
@@lightningg252agreed, I’m much rather like the idea of Ty Lee being airbender blood and that’s why she can chi block and sense energy like Zuko’s and not tolerate it

Roku's mistake with sozion wasn’t that he should’ve killed him from the beginning. It was that he shouldn’t keep a closer eye on him and make sure he wasn’t alone. Sozion is firebender meaning he has passion and drive to achieve it. When passion is suppressed, any person can become frustrated that they still want to achieve what they want. And they won’t let anyone stop them. Sozion was only pulling from lesson fire, but not from the place of air which allows you to see the multiple possibilities, water that allows you to be more flexible and gain help when needed, and the earth that is about being patient. Sozion became out of balance, and on top of that he was a fire lord, a monarch. He was at a high status where he could help the world or make the world worse. Being a fire lord monarch majority means empty throne room and no one really to advise him. Sozin's original plan was to spread his wealth to other nations in a way, when suppressed by Roku, alone in his throne room, and only pulling from the lesson of fire (the achieving your passion) he fell out of balance and his dream became more about conquering the nations. So Roku knowing his sozion status, as an avatar and his friend, he should’ve stuck closer to him and advised him.
Fuck no. Nothing could have stopped that ambition. Roku should have taken control with drastic actions because the Fire Nation literally DIDN’T need to go to war for anything. Sozin said it himself, the populace was happy and the nation was prospering. If anything the dynasty of Sozin should have been brought down and the Fire Nation divided in feudal territories instead of a monarchy or straight up democracy to fix the ambition for power

Firstly, Fire lord is the steonfest fire bender there is in the show. Period And roku and aang cant be compared, aang had 1 year to learn 3 elements and that too he HASNT MASTERED them. Just because you have some power to move the elements doesnt mean youve mastered them. And roku had years of practice so sozin was no match. Besides ozai is stronger than sozin anyways
