    It’s sad that I struggle to get out of bed for 8am 😂 but here is Shenae waking up at 4:15am 👏🏼 this is motivation to get up earlier..but maybe not THAT early 😬

    For anyone who needs to hear this right now... if a 4am start works for you and you enjoy that time in the morning, amazing! If you're a tired mama who just wants to stay in bed until your toddler wakes you and all you achieve today is getting dressed, you are still amazing 🙏🙏 these kind of morning routines can be super inspiring but don't feel bad if they dont match up to your reality xx

    I always struggle with staying hydrated so I really like the mason jar with a straw idea. One of my goals is to meditate more so starting my day off with some transcendental meditation would help my anxiety.
    Also, I love how you set incremental goals like reading 10 pages a day because that's way more realistic and manageable.

    I actually believe this method of waking at 4/5am is beneficial as it allows you that extra time to do all the tasks or just have that 'me' time you tend to miss during the day. It's not easy to start any new routine but once you get going, you do feel good about it as it become the new normal for you. It's definitely a routine I want to get back into!
    PS Early start gets easier during the summer months. 😉

    Have you ever heard of beddys bedding? They are great for twin beds!! It’s bedding that zips up and it’s all in one!! And also easy for Bowie to learn to do it herself!!!

    Hi, Shenae and good morning.😊😊😊😊😊. I love the morning routine like this. I woke up at 8:50 am last week on Saturday to look outside the window and turn on the music. The song is "You're The Best Around" from the movie "The Karate Kid."💙💙💙💙💙. Then, I did 20 push-ups and 7 jumping jacks for about 3 minutes. And I did it!🎉. I beat the best time record on my stopwatch. It was 1:42.5!😊💙👍. And...yeah. Finally, I eat my blueberry pancakes (my favorite) with butter. It taste so delicious! And that's it.     Wow reading only 10 pages. Usually once I start a book my whole life pauses until I finish. Really bad for college. (I read an 800 page book right before exam week lol) but I read fantasy adventure. It’s the best way to get out my head

    i aspire to be this kind of mom but i have to leave the house by 5-5:30 every morning to drop my daughter off at daycare to go to work and don’t get back home until like 6pm so i do not have the energy, i already don’t get to bed until like 11pm

      Lol he’s a pretty heavy sleeper and I normally sneak out without turning a light on, I just had to pop it on quick for the purposes of filming the video. He definitely encourages me to find balance by having more rest on weekends but knows I’m stubborn and ultimately feel happier when I get time to myself in the mornings!

    Is Bowie sleeping through the night? My 2 kids tag team to wake us up every night so I find that I'm always exhausted even at 7am. One day they'll sleep and I can carve out a bit of time for myself before they wake up.

      It’s iffy. Some days we’re there and some days, like today, she’s up before my ridiculously early alarm clock and the routine gets thrown off. My husband and I take it in turns to handle middle of the night wake ups so we each get the morning time we need throughout the week!

    I love getting up early and having some me time. But how do you avoid crashing after lunch or just whenever it may happen for people? Any quick naps when the little one goes down for a nap or...? I may just need to exercise more and eat more healthy. Maybe that would help me.

      I typically don’t nap and honestly don’t start to feel tired until dinner time/bedtime routine for my little one, which I think is pretty normal regardless of what time you’re up. Josh and I clean up the house after she’s down and then have an hour or two of TV, chill and catch up time then crash around 10-10:30!

      @@shenaegrimesbeech oh yes that’s definitely normal for most of us to start to feel tired about then I’m sure. I have 4 littles that I homeschool lol so I feel like I’m always exhausted. I’m taking the tips from your video to get in some meditation because I’m always wanting to do that and finding me an exercise routine. Hopefully that and better eating will help me out and keep me going!

      It’s super chill. Dinner around 6:15 then clean up whatever mess was made whilst cooking, bath time and bedtime routine for Bowie from 7:30-8:15, finish tidying and wash my face/do nighttime skincare routine, chill on the couch for an hour or two and then bed!

    Remember you much water is bad for you, don’t drink too much close together.
    Honestly I think your super mum for getting up that early, I am not a morning person. If I got up at 4.15am I would want to be in bed by 6pm.

    Who would choose to wake up at 4:15 am? Jesus, that’s torture. I don’t know anyone with kids who would voluntarily wake up at 4:15 am. Does Josh ever dress Bowie or do you always do it?

      I don’t know anyone with kids who wouldn’t love to make some time for themselves before their kids are up for the day! And yes, he does. We share most responsibilities pretty evenly!

      We haven’t had any childcare in 11 months due to COVID and by the end of the day, I want to chill on the couch not workout and be productive! Lol

    I’m pretty disappointed with this video it seems so “influencer” and samey samey. Shenae has done so many more “real” videos what us minions can relate to.I’m almost 40 with 2 children & would never think of let’s get up at 4am and deprive myself of even more sleep??! Only now when my eldest has turned 13 am I getting the sleep I should be & I look/feel younger & more energised. These early wake ups are not doable long term. I once woke up early did all the ironing, cleared out cupboards, decluttered by the end of that day I remember feeling physically sick as I also had a day of running after a 5 & 2 year old. I am usually so energetic but that was just one 4am wake up where I did “so much in a day” and it made me ill

      I don’t think acknowledging that there are plenty of breakfast options that hold more nutritional value for your health than pancakes should be categorized as “harmful diet culture”. Neither weight nor dieting of any kind was mentioned in any capacity. I think we can all agree that a plate of fried batter doesn’t have a whole lot of health benefits, Pat, don’t you? With that said, I also made, ate and fed them to my family so I think it’s pretty clear where I stand on diet culture! 😂
