Since I am a native Hindi speaker, could not understand the video. But I wanted to know what would be the procedure of getting KA number for a car transffered from HR state? Though I have paid LTT road tax in Karnataka and have RC from KA RTO. But the number is still HR. Thanks a lot in advance.
Hi Since u have paid LTT and and also have RC issued from KA RTO, you can use your vehicle without any problems in Karnataka..if you really wanted a KA number then take all your present documents to the RTO wher the RC was issued and apply for a new KA Number Plate.. that's it..but again you can still drive your car with the same old number plate with all proper documentation intact.

You can easily find out by seeing the registration of number plate..

yes sir u r right! u have not mentioned which car.. Audi Benz etc.? it will cost more than that in my opinion!
What is the validity of NOC for delhi car..
NOC is valid for a maximum of 6 months, and after that you may need to pay penalty if not registered.. hope it helps!

But for temporary period you can drive.. If you have long term plans then you may need to pay road tax and keep using..

Hello sir, for the 2012 model duster Road tax was 58500(Base Model), since it is 12year old car it falls under 45-25% category, on an average let's calculate at 35% of road tax on original road tax.. i.e. 35% of 58500 is 20470 approximately.. Karnataka Road Tax will be 20-22k +/- approximately sir..hope it helps..😊

no need to change ownership unless u r planning to buy, but you must be aware that you are driving your friend's car all the time and be cautious while driving, coz what ever mistakes you do that will straightly impact on your friend..so make sure that will be your responsibility:-)

There is nothing as such in my opinion...you should have all documents carrying with you, you mentioned it is your friend's car so why are you worried? suppose my brother has a car registered on his name, but i can also use it whenever i want right! just that i must have all documents along and most imp the LL/DL.. hope you understood!

It is dfferent from the usual taxes and duties like excise and personal income tax, a cess is imposed as an additional tax besides the existing tax (tax on tax)

So funny that for road tax calculation the value of a 10 year old vehicle is still 50% , whereas for insurance and resale of a 10yr old vehicle, the valuation is much less........😂.....
So basically you pay X amount of road tax for 15 yrs if you buy a new vehicle in KA.......but have to shell out 0.5X for just 5 yrs(balance period), if you have to register a 10 yr old "other state" vehicle in KA.......great way to extort legally 😂

This is as long as you are lucky only..you may carry Proofs like toll receipt, PUC & fuel receipt(of other state) and all of these should not be more than 15days..
Not a good idea for long run..do you really want to drive the car carrying such unnecessary tensions along? how long can you?
If your time is bad and an rto officer catches you then you might end up paying hefty penalty as well..
My suggestion is better head to your local rto office and request them to accept a short term stay road tax, and if you are lucky they might consider and accept,then you pay that tax and drive around in the state without any issues.
