This is looking so good! This kit literally got me back into Modeling after not touching them since before my teen years, and that’s been a minute! I really enjoy the level of detail you are putting into this video, every bit helps to revile some new and amazing process. This kit has been sitting on my shelf since the day I first purchased it (I pre-ordered it the first day I could) and I just now feel like I am in the right spot to attempt this build. Keep it up, love the videos and thanks for all the work posting, I know it's not easy!
Thats how i work, in pizza slices, its the only way that concentrating on one part at a time to completion is the only thing that will inspire me to move to the next section, otherwise you spend long time with it all not looking right. Thats only because we are essentially copying another model....but if we were to start one and make it up as we went along like they did, then thats a different matter.
Exactly that mate, we’re cheats copying another piece of artwork lol. But seriously that’s it isn’t it. As you rightly say if it was an original piece we made it would be painted totally differently.
This kit blows my mind for its level of detail, and these paint tutorials are even more mind-blowing. Keep them coming, Sir pretty please.
Thanks so much yeah the kit is sublime
Thanks for getting back to it John. Always appreciate you taking the time to film and share your techniques.
Yeah it’s taken ages to get it back into the paint desk but it’s a commission piece so I need it done and delivered to the customer soon.
These videos are always helpful and inspiring! Thanks for making them!

I can't even look at my deagostini ESB studio scale without wishing john had painted it!! It's as if you're a painter straight out of ILM studios!!
Thank you so much for the kind words
Looks great. What pressure and airbrush are you using? Just had my first attempt with streaking with the airbrush it didn’t go the best
I may have a dumb question. What is the "New Chronicles" book?

Did you prime it with your airbrush with the Archive white or did you use any other white primer? Thanks!
Primed with grey Halfords primer then base coated with archive x Reefer white acrylic
Thanks
What are you using to apply the masking material?
Please let me know base color.
Archive X Reefer white :)
Great painting, which book is that?
