- Without a doubt, there has been a bounty of beloved activities in the Saints Row series. Although there are some that aren't as great. In today's top 5, we'll be looking at the worst activities in the Saints Row series.

I swear to god, I wanted to replay Saints Row Third, I always played on easy difficulty and thought maybe advance difficulty to make it interesting, Then because of that Fucken mission, Guardian Angel, I started questioning if I could do it, because Guardian Angel is so damn hard I failed it many times on easy difficulty and made me partially hate Kinzie, and the fact that it has no save points goddammit
Just thinking about Guardian Angel gives me PTSD... can't wait to play it in 4K on the 22nd!
I also find it weird that in some cases you had to rappel a bit and stick to a building during the sniping part. Judging by the distance of the enemies you would have zero issue just firing from the roof and even have more cover that way.

I am extremely surprised that the Telekinesis Rifts from Saints Row IV weren’t on the list. They take FOREVER to finish and aren’t the easiest to get gold medals on. God, I hate those things with a passion.
Glad I'm not the only one who struggled with those, tbh. The ones listed here don't seem so bad (aside from Genki's M.O.M.), but the TK Rifts can fuck right off.

With Hitman in the first game, I appreciated the detail it had. Some targets wouldn't be found in the respective locations all the time and some would only come out during certain moments of the day, giving the city that feeling of being alive which would be greatly improved in SR2. However, it was a chore just to search for them and to have the appropriate weapon to kill them with. I mean, why was that last thing necessary. That being said, I prefer SR2's version of Hitman.
Saints row 2 had the best activities in my opinion.

It's the one activity that keeps from 100% saints row games
Super easy once you learn to go to the area indicated to start the activity then hurrying to the nearest highway. There's rarely never any cars there and the big rigs and buses will have you racking up the money so fast you'll hit the goal before you even notice it.
Edit: also once you rag doll in adrenaline mode and get launched try to fall back towards the big trucks or make yourself into a volleyball and get hot by a car in the other direction. Just be careful not to fall off elevated highways.
Talon Games the one I have trouble is when you have to blow up cars, nothing fucking spawns for me, than in insurance fraud, they spawn but they avoid you, but in normal play they drive over you with no hesitation

I feel like I'm acting like a know it all and I don't mean to. I just struggled with those activities as well until I learned in mayhem that the cars didn't give you the money like you needed but you're given the impression the bigger the better. And it's actually the opposite, small things that are gathered together so that you could destroy back to back like fences and the machines in the casino worked best in giving you combos plus the police didn't bother me while I was inside. Certain areas are crap for the higher levels so restarting until I got to the college, marina, and Chinatown helped me.
Demo Derby I played like fight club.

Surprised you didn’t mention the telekenesis rift from saints 4. I hate throwing those stupid balls in the portals and it takes forever to complete the activity
CID's commentary doesn't help matters, either.
Not to mention those annoying noises and constantly getting tossed around while trying to aim.

@@glowhoo9226 level 6 of heli assault on sr2 was bs, enemies would spawn way too rapidly and quickly for you to deal with and instantly spam rpgs at the person you were supposed to protect and your own helicopter and when an enemy helicopter shot a missile at you there was no way to avoid it

God I remember trying to 100% SR4 (no way I'm doing SR2 or GOH) each and every activity wasn't so hard but it was incredibly chore-like

You know what one of my favourite EVER activities in Saints Row is? The Insurance fraud ones I LOVED those ones and it's a damn shame they aren't in more of the saints row games.

I disagree with this list. I think the humour of Tiger Escort far outweighs the annoyingness of it. I never dread playing that mission because of it's context. Platforming rift is boring, agree. If Guardian Angel takes you "50 tries to finish it" you're simply not playing it properly. Guardian Angel may sometimes on occasion be difficult but I've never had to do it more than twice to complete. It's also not as bad as some would say, it's enjoyable at least. Hitman missions can be annoying but as you said I feel like it redeemed itself after 1. And M.O.M is annoying but I definitely wouldn't rank it as number 1 worst. I definitely remember being disappointed by it though as SERC was great.

I think the trouble with Guardian Angel is it's overly reliant on protecting the A.I-obviously because it's called Guardian Angel, but the A.I should be equipped to protect itself enough, so you could just be backup rather than responsible for all the work. Tiger Escort has a bit of humor yes but they could've changed up the animals at least.
Tiger Escort is also a cool little nod to Talladega Nights when Ricky had to drive the Chevy with the Cougar in it to get his confidence back
Am i the only one that never struggled with guardian angel?
I would always let the enemy drive past then blast them when they are far behind the car and the sniping is easy if you shoot the cars to blow up all the enemies
Honestly the platforming rift is one of my favorite activites, its pretty fun and I love the music in it.
Why hate on Genki M.O.M? It's a good activity and i had fun with that activity, and it isn't that hard. Don't know what you are talking about, but your opinion i guess

@Dauggo Bauggo I disagree. It gets boring very fast and you need to get at least like what 200 targets for bronze. And its required to get to the final mission of Saints Row IV.

Just played through SR1 and found it easier for Hitman to memorize their faces and clothing (or just take a picture i realized later 🙄) and, without using the hud, kill npcs that looked like them who would randomly spawn anywhere during regular gameplay. Still sucked bc I would have the wrong weapon sometimes and see someone I had been looking for forever 😔 but it was still faster than using the HUD and waiting six months for one target to appear.
These guys forgot about that stomping minigame in SR4
I always thought Mind Over Murder was pretty fun, I had no idea it had this much hate behind it.

Never had trouble with Mind Over Murder to be honest! My vote for the worst activity would probably be Septic Avenger honestly. Once you get past the “haha I’m spraying people with poop” angle, there’s no variety in gameplay and it’s just boring. Imagine doing six levels of it in a row.

Guardian Angel is difficult? Are you kidding me? I have never failed that activity.
Yeah, It's not even that hard at all; I mean, I struggle sometimes with the sniping part ,but at the end it's quite simple. I never failed that activity, In fact it took only one time to finish it. Not trying to brag or nothing, I'm just saying.
Heli Assault is so boring and it's especially annoying when you get flipped upside down then blowup.
When I was younger I use to enjoy a lot of these activities but as I go back and play they all suck to me
I wish Prof. Genki’s M.O.M. be like the telekinesis chaos, you can pick only the ball, but in Genki’s M.O.M., you would only pick the good items like cars, people & mascot heads instead of trash cans.
I loved m.o.m! I thought it was one of the best parts and I wished they're were more! guardian angel is unplayable I just dont fire rockets tbh it works more often.

Its one of my least favorite as well. I just find the concept very lame and not funny at all. The ragdoll physic isn't realistic and just make the game looks bad in my opinion. Everybody else seems to love it tho ...
not to mention barely any cars spawning at all times, was especially bad in 2 since the score limits in 2 were ridiculous on some levels
Try using the low gravity cheat and play Insurance Fraud. Trust me it will become your favourite Saint's Row activity ever. However I do disagree that Saint's Row 2 is the worst one when it comes to Insurance Fraud, Saint's Row 1 was FAR more annoying, if only you didn't perform the emergency truck glitch.

Agree with this toplist I really hate these ones. But, I liked Guardian Angel the first time but when I played like 4 guardian angels it just got annoying...
People don’t like guardian angle while I like it I find it satisfying when I get headshots with the sniper from far distances and trying to predict where to shoot with rocket launcher
but you let the enemy car in 100m of the saint car and damages the saint car
On top of everything else with the original Hitman, even if you do manage to find the npc you’re looking for, unless you have a specific weapon on you to take each of them out, it won’t count towards completion.
I always felt Trail Blaizing in SR2 would be up there... IF no NPCs spawn to hit for extra time. Otherwise it was a fun enough activity.

Roadhouse
1. Fraud (I get pissed every time I have to play it to move on with the story)
2. Any activity in Saints Row Gat Out oi Hell that you requires using your wings. (Especially that one where you gotta save the falling and rising demons from dying.)
3. Guardian Angel ( I never played it till recently but the sniper one hurts because I already suck at aiming already.)
In SR 1, it's also easy to finish hitman activity, just keep on taking a taxi to any spot in Stilwater, and after a while you'll have the victim spawned.
I always knew that wheels on the bus song was devilish
And sometimes m.o.m just freezes and your stuck getting no points and even if you reset and retry it it still doesn’t work, at least for me
I hate how they made you do activities in the main story, it felt like 3/4 of the game was a tutorial

I don't find Guardian Angel to be that bad, it can be boring though but it isn't hard. That's until you fully upgrade the RPG, then it becomes near to impossible to complete
My saints row the third disk was scratched so it would freeze right at the end of guardian angel mission every time so i played through it like 5 times hoping it would play through but naw i just wasted my time lol. Hope someone gets a laugh from my pain
Looking back, I liked Hitman and Chop Shop in original Saints Row compared to the later games. You needed patience, and a bit of planning helped, like carrying a designated weapon in each slot. They were also a different pace from the rest of the game.
From Saints Row 2, everything is a mission.
Trailblazing. The virtual one. Sucked so much
Every tron inspired activity in SR4. Running, trailblazing, telequinesis, jumping... It's not only like they have forgot what game we are supposed to be playing, but also CID's annoying commentaries that comes from insulting us to " Wow, I can't believe you've done something right" on the best case. Insulting the player is Kinzie's role. The tsundere quota is full.
I don't even recall the platform one, but I recall the genki one, so awful
i never did hitman on 1, but assuming it's the same as on 2 it is only really enjoyable imo if you just activate it and then just play the game normally for the ones that can just spawn randomly, because trying to find them is obnoxious compared to getting them when they pop up on their own
escort and the heli assault one from saints row 2 were my most hated
Number one for me is Crowd Control in SR2. I completed one instance with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, but only because I found an area I was best at and refused to play anywhere else. The Sonic Boom or bee gun would really come in handy for it. You more or less play a variant of it in that very mission in Saints Row 3's DLC strand, but it's fun as hell compared to the horror that is SR2's. Also SR2's Heli Assault. I surprisingly done well this go around, but there's an instance in SRTT where I have to use STAG takeover assist for it. Pierce's is okay because you have a better chopper, whereas you have the sucky one with Kinzie's. I haven't played anything past SRTT, but Mind Over Murder is giving me PTSD despite the fact! Pretty odd, because Genki's activities are usually fun.
Oh, and tip for Saints Row 1's Hitman: memorize your target's character model and kill any other character model of the same design. The game will count it as the target! I got it done a lot faster when I learned and tested the exploit. It'll still be a chore, but the awesome weapons you're rewarded are worth it.
Could you do a video about hijacking a helicopter in saints Row 1? Cause that’d be interesting.
Drug dealing is horrible having to wait for your homie to slowly drive around and then waiting for the deal while tons of enemies trash your car urghhhh.
Also I hate insurance fraud how is jumping into traffic fun and mayhem you have to shooting fences and bins to get the multipler up not fun but thankfully both are easy once you know what you are doing.
For me, the worst activities are the hardest ones to do on hardcore. Most of these are boring, but at least you don't have to repeat them over and over because they're really easy.
Though I also never go for cheaty upgrades in SR3/4/GOoH because why play on Hardcore if I'm going to be invincible?
The drug missions in SR1 suck and sadly insurance fraud and mayhem are broken in SR1 as well cause cars don’t wanna spawn

I'm struggling to think if I actually liked any of the activities in sr4. Even hit man felt boring. I don't hate sr4 I just found so much a bit too easy, repetitive, and after rescuing gat even the story missions suffered the same Gat Out of Hell suffers the same dull repetitiveness. I freaking hated mind over matter, I had blissfully forgotten that.
Warning about to rant about how they handled gats return...Again. You can skip this part completely.
It should have been more of a surprise instead of the playa going "is it Johnny? It's gotta be Johnny!" With no reason or lead up assume he's alive.
Way to ruin a surprise since after attempting to get back to Stillwater no one hardly mentions Gat except Shaundi (not even going to get into how they've could've done Shaundi's transition from stoner party girl to too serious and kinda bitter woman but trust me I can).
I get it that time constraints may have forced them not to develop that plot point more but really in the happy suburbia sim have the people the playa failed show up. Lynn, Carlos, Gat, Aisha, let us see some guilt or remorse that they died because of us/the saints by showing relief that they're there alive and happy.
Later when out of the sim have Kenzie show a list of captured humans and the playa sees Johnny's name. Or just do the list thing. Just give us a reason why the playa would believe he's alive after accepting his death in 3.
I couldn't agree more. While SR4 had its moments (the Streets of Rage parody was a fun novelty), majority of the time I was bored bungee jumping around and hyper sprinting everywhere, the telekinesis minigame sucks too.
That shit was jank AF, even for usual Saints Row jank.
Saints Row IV is an okay game, but it surely ain't Saints Row. Neither is 3 to be honest, but at least that game had some merits.

4 feels like it should've featured different characters. And rather than blowing up the Earth aliens just invade and take over the world leaving you (a new nameless character who's part of the saints) to develop super powers. You can either be a hero or an anti hero/villain, but whatever the case is there world isn't big enough for the saints and the zyn. And if it doesn't work out volition could simply say the hero game was just a comic story Pierce or that nerdy guy (forgot his name) was pitching.
Went back to see if there were really any activities in sr4 that I liked and looking at it with a critical eye... Ok I love you volition but I didn't like what you did with 4. 5 different types of mayhem? 3 instances where we have to use tk. Way less activities, divisions seem so easy One easy as hell as you can just hold the ball and run into things.
Anyhow I noticed why that is for me at least, that there's not much behind it. It's just chaos, destruction, and maybe some comedy. These activities lack personality and reason behind the destruction and chaos.
4 doesn't help with the activities being assignments from our friends for wherever weird reason. And I think steel port being in a sim and us gaining super powers really stunted that, although you could do a lot around it I don't think they had the chance to really do it. Destroy, fight, run, platform.
4, though a complete game, in a way felt like a step up from a dlc game or better suited for a spin off.
I was just thinking about #5.😆 Then again all the escort missions suck. And thanks for putting Guardian Angel on this list.

For me trailblazing is annoying. I had nearly completed Steelport and the last 2 things to do were trailblazing in the luchadore and decker parts. Took me about 7 times each to complete them.
And of course Gaurdian Angel
Do I have to add that Guardian Angel could glitch out and it was unplayable? Especially I even had a bug on Kinzie's Guardian Angel (yeah, the "main" mission) that forced me to start a new save?
Guardian angel is honestly horrible, I failed it probably 10 times just because the game didn't tell me you could zoom in with the sniper, I was using a controller on my PC and kept pressing every single button combination to try and zoom in but pierce kept frickin dying so I couldn't figure it out until the 8th run or so lol.
Although it's not an activity, killing Dex in Gat Out of Hell was the worst thing Volition has ever done to it's fanbase
Most unsatisfying and worse repetitive thing. You can't hype up that we finally get revenge on Dex and he's just an NPC with a purple cap on that you can kill at random. No challenge even when he had backup. I was expecting him to have some power in hell and having a Julius type mission to take him out.
The tiger mission was so easy and the m.o.m. If you’re really having problems with them you not that great at the game and the guardian angel is also super easy it’s hard to fail in the video this guy was damaging his own team. You gotta shoot when there a distance away
I agree that Genki's M.O.M was thee absolute worst activity ever, and it did feel forever trying to get the right items in the required halo. I didn't mind Hitman at all just not in Saints Row 1 and Tiger Escort, what a rage that was and I kind of like Guardian Angel.

Fun fact, I haven't done a single sr3 activity other than missions. I have been playing since 2014 and still play.
Best way to play guardian angel is to wait for your homies car is a few feet away from the enemy car then blow them up
the reason guardian angel was hard was because you had it on hard difficulty. when you put it to that difficulty the car has stupidly weak health since it multiplies the damage so best to lower the difficulty until you pass the mission.
I honestly loved the rift jumping one, and found guardian angel to be too easy.
Saints row 2 trail blazing I have a lot of trouble on
Normal Escort and Trail Blazing in Saints Row: The Third drove me completely fucking insane. When I finally completed the last Trail Blazing activity it felt like I singlehandedly just won a goddamn Super Bowl. I have special hatred reserved for those two activities.
Also Pledge Rush was fucking stupid.
I just cheesed those activities by doing casual difficulty if i cant beat them on normal if i had no one online to help me. Just finished sr3 and 4 platinum trophies waiting 4 sr3 remastered.
Telekinesis Mayhem and Super Stomp Mayhem. You get barely any points and they don’t even destroy cars immediately which can be a bit of a pain.
One thing I wouldn't mine returning is flight as an expiremental wingsuit stolen from Ultor as a VERY late game unlock
