We were in a similar situation with many stuck campers several years ago. The entire family decided it would be fun camping over Easter weekend. It was a blast! But camping in the Spring during rain storms can create slight chaos when it comes to leaving the sites.
It’s always as risk in the spring!
Many hands make light work! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HENSLEY! 🥳🎂🦋
Yes love our friends 😊
Don't forget, April showers bring may flowers🌻 😊
Yes, that’s true!
I got stuck once, so I added a winch and now always bring ground anchors with me-won't get stuck again! 😉
Smart!
Get rid of the Dodge
@@joshkling805ridiculous comment.
It’s all about tires.
And more importantly watch were you park.
Oh, the anxiety getting out caused! I can breathe now... you guys have great attitudes!
Yes! It was nerve wrecking for sure!
So cool to see you out on the road in Sam’s parking lot. Thanks for taking the time to say hi. It seems you had a rough day!! Enjoy watching your videos.
Thank you for saying hi! Now you can see our morning started like this 😅
Happy birthday, Hensley!
Love seeing the real life!
Thank you 😊
So good to see TEAM work
Teamwork makes the dream work!
Sometimes you help others; sometimes others help you. We are all together in this crazy and wonderful RV life.
Yes 🙌🏻
Hope your family is ok! Just saw Tornado is heading toward Cookeville. Praying for your family.
We are all safe thank you 🙏
Glad your day that started out ruff ended up great. You didn’t sustain any damage to your truck or camper did you? Happy 10th Birthday Hensley you are getting so tall. 🎂🍰🎁🎈🎉🥳🥰
No damage! 🎊
You guys were really deep in. Glad you got out okay.
Happy Birthday Hensley!
Thank you ☺️
❤ Happy Birthday Hensley ❤

Thank you 😊
Happy birthday Hensley 🎉🥳.LJMJ❤❤🇬🇧
Thank you 😊
Happy Birthday Hensley!🎉
Thank you!!
Thanks for the video even though you were very busy 🙂
Thank you for watching!
You should look into a get together for fans during the summer. Not all kids are homeschooled. We have school but would still love to meet and listen to you speak.
Ok- thank you for the tip!
Happy Birthday 🎂 Hensley 🎉
Thank you 😊
I travel with a small fiber optic scope for just such emergencies. It has come in handy for so many things. Great video, guys. God bless
Thank you 😊
Wow...that was stuck. Thank you for sharing the good and easy and the not so good and easy. Blessings
Thank God for good friends!
@@LessJunkMoreJourney Amen, amen!!!
Happy Birthday Hensley! Oh no the tires. Glad those were ok and glad you had the tire minder. Oh no the letters in the alphabit in the slide out. Glad you got them all out and the slides work and you made it home. Love you guys! 🤗🥰❤️🩷 Have a great week and stay safe. Safe travels.
Thank you 😊
Happy Birthday Hensley🎉
Thank you!
Agreed Awesome. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching 😊
Happy Birthday Hensley 🎉🥳🎂
Thank you!!
Yay!!! Team work! “Less junk, more trenches!” Lol
Yes! 😅
Happy Birthday to Hensley🎉
Thank you 😊
I was so happy to see y’all enjoyed your stay in Little Rock on the river beside the beautiful walking bridge. I was born and raised in Little Rock.
We are really excited to be joining the full-time RV’ing family in June. We’ve been following y’all and others for a couple of years. We hope to meet all of you out on the road. ❤
🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎂
It’s an amazing stop!
Love the ridge!!
It’s the BEST!
Great to see Stuart and family with your family again love seeing the interaction’s we travel in our Hoosier cruiser job to job (travel RN) so true love it but some days can feel like they will never end. Sunday is my favorite day to watch LJMJ.
🥰🥰🥰
We agree with how Stewart says, “Crayon.” 🤣🤣😉
😝
Happy Birthday Hensley! 10 already...how is that possible!
Thank you!
We have stayed at RV park in Little Rock. We enjoyed it. Had a blast walk around downtown.
It’s an awesome park!
It is an awesome park BUT I’m sure the chamber of commerce for North Little Rock, Arkansas would prefer you to say that park is in North Little Rock, there is a difference.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that you started the video with your old familiar theme song and scenes! I have missed it so much. What a tough exit from Texas, but you pulled through with the help of your friends. 🥰 Nathan you looked wiped. I'm glad you're at home base to unwind. With all my heart wish we could make your rally, but we are looking at relocating this summer and not sure where we'll be. Regardless we'd still be coming from NH in October as we've got our reservations in Ossipee the first 10 days. Happy birthday Hensley. I can't believe she is 10. Our granddaughter just turned 11 on April 11. They grow so fast. 🥹
Thank you 😊 that is so sweet!
Great video - lots of "adventures" that is for sure! I wish we were out there too!
Thank you 😊
At some point in our RV lives we are going to get stuck. Your situation happens more often and there are lessons to be learned and education to be shared. Everyone hates a "Monday Morning Quarterback", but to err o the side of safety I wanted to share with you some things to consider if this ever happens again. Please take a moment and look up the various YT videos from about a year ago documenting the fatal off road recovery in Kingman, AZ. Not exactly your case, but several similarities. It is important to keep in mind the physics in play when trying to "unstick" your rig. Not only are you trying to pull about 30,000+ lbs combined weight (Your truck, plus the trailer), but also the suction impact of the mud--plus--the weight of the recovery vehicle in front. My view of the recovery shows the tow rope attached to a point on the drop hitch of the recovery truck. You did mention the use of a kinetic rope--which is excellent--but again many people may not know what that is exactly. Also, any drop hitch (or any ball trailer hitch) is rated to pull and has an entirely different "shear" rating. In the case of the Kingman tragic recovery, the drop arm separated (sheared off) at the 90 and the kinetic force of the pull launched the drop hitch through the windshield of the stuck vehicle. The driver of the stuck vehicle was killed instantly. Not your situation exactly, but many watching your video could take away the wrong idea and concepts behind vehicle recovery. Again, I share this with you because the family of the fatality in Kingman has made several follow-up videos to help educate us all about how to--and how not to--do a safe recovery. Lastly, as you started the pull several family members were standing close to the vehicles--not a good idea. Recovering big rigs looks like it is easy and sometimes fun. That's what I thought until the Kingman story. I feel like a Debbie Downer, but I felt it appropriate to share this with you. Enjoy your travels and stay safe. SGF
Thanks for your concern!
We cleared everyone out of the way before Stewart started pulling Nathan out. The Rope use was a kinetic rope designed just for this type of application. The tow rope was no attached to the hitch, I know that’s hard to tell. We were not intending this to be any sort of “how to” video. Thank you for pointing those details out though!
We will actually be in Townsend Tennessee in the next few weeks. Sorry we will miss seeing y'all in October
Maybe we will see you on the road!
Remember leave it better then you found it. I see you have mastered that. Lol

Some folks idea of a vacation while others say waayyy too much work! Glad you made it out safely
Not everyday is vacation 😅. Thank you!
I love y’all’s mindset.
Challenges are solutions waiting to happen.
I have a lot of experience mudding.
But that’s in the past. Now I have my 3500 dually for towing over the road. No AT or Mud terrain tires anymore.
I expect at some point I’ll get stuck on wet grass.
Exactly!
Happy Decade old Birthday Hensley! Bridget and Jon Appelfeller
Thank you! 😊
That was tough to watch how you got out of the campground. Awesome video, but after watching it we are again glad having a small motorhome. 🥰🥰
Thank you 😊
The whole reason the saying "That's Life" has lasted for so long..because it's not always easy.."That's Life" Thank you for sharing.
That’s so true! Thank you for watching ☺️
Happy Birthday Girl
Thank you 😊
When they start out bad…it continues to be “challenging “! (For us at least). Glad y’all made it safely and HBD to Hensley!
There are challenges in this lifestyle- you can’t quit on your worst day!
We stay at the Riverside RV Park going cross-country we love it but was only there for one day, and happy birthday to Hensley.
It’s a great park!
Wow! That was stressful 😮
It was scary at first!
Wow folks what an ordeal! Glad we left when we did. Well sad but glad you know what I mean. We’re heading for TN this Saturday 4 th. ❤
It was a sticky (or muddy) situation!
Stuart's truck is a BEAST!!!
It is 💪
Nice great see
Thank you!
Incredible task! Congratulations on the success! 🖖🏻😘👍🏻🙏🏻
Thank you 😊
Same theme to my video. Lots and lots of rain, and some hail to boot! Except, I was in a tent!
Wow! Glad you lived to tell the tail!
I can't believe Hensley is ten ! I've been watching since she was in a back pack and you were climbing mountain sides with her straped on. Hopefully some day she will realize how lucky she was to have nomads for parents.
Time flies!
Oh no, wish we could helped when you guys were stuck!
It was all good!
Talk about frame flex, frame failure! Yanking on these fifth wheels back and forth out of the mud😳
All good thanks!
I’m sure the property owners are happy.
They have a lot of equipment for just this reason because they have a lot of events here with horse trailers.
Our family is from Chattanooga & we have lived in several other states...hubby in ministry...every time we cross into TN from any direction my hubby & I break into "Rocky Top" at the top of our lungs ;^)
That is awesome! 👏🏻
We live in Cookeville also
Hey neighbor 👋
Hopefully some day ya'll will do one of your community events here in the West.
We had one in Arizona! Where in the west?
So much for leaving place same or better 🤣😂😊🥺

look at that Brinkly how smooth it get out of the mud 🤣 that was cool though
Like butter 😅
🤣@@LessJunkMoreJourney you guys are awesome
On our way to Georgia we stayed at the same RV park in Little Rock and it was awesome. I think we stayed in almost the same spot that you did.
It’s an awesome park!
Smart having a deleted truck!!! Way more reliable. Great video. Maybe throw a little more meaty tire on the truck!
Good tip!
I've used old crocheted afghans (the blanket, NOT the dog) as long traction mats It was a lighter vehicle, but it worked, and the afghans just needed washing.
I have heard of floor mats, and cardboard but never an afghan! 😅
Girl, get you some chalkboard paint and some chalk and give up the letter board. Lol!!
Hahaha maybe I will
Living in East TN, we would love to join you all at the huddle. Unfortunately our kids will be in school that week. If it was during Fall Break we would be all over it!! Hope everyone has fun.
Being stuck is a nightmare. My stress level was up just watching you all deal with it 😂
That’s a bummer! We would love to meet your family!
Happy Birthday Hensley hope you enjoyed the pizza as big as your head, that's what my kids called the slices. BTW your friend helping with the slide says crayon correctly.
She loves that pizza! Thank you 😊
I’m with Stuart ( also as an Ohioan ): it’s a “cran” 😃
😂😂😂
give new meaning to stick in the mud
😂😂😂 seriously
I was on a trail ride several years ago and it had been raining. We were all parked in a pasture. A guy pulled in with a BIG motorhome. He parked and almost immediately started sinking. It was like it was in slow motion, lol. Because of where he stopped he had to wait for everyone else to leave. He never lived that one down, lol.
Wow! 😮
HA!!! WE GOT THE SAME KIND OF STUCK IN MARLIN TEXAS 5 YEARS AGO. I HAD THE TRAILER AND THE TRUCK REAR WHEELS BURIED TO THE AXLES
It’s not a fun place to be! Thank God for our friends!
This happened to me some years back. Couldn't get any traction.
A neighbor down the road stopped by with a 4'x6' horse stall mat, it was cut down the middle, making two 2'x6' mats. Worked great, kept the trailer from sinking into the soft ground. I have seen the mats at Tractor supply store.
As for the truck tires spinning, get a 2"x2" (2"X4" works too), and tie it to the outside tire of the dually tires with Tie Down Straps. It's the inside dually tires that has the brakes and other things, so no boards there. Sreach some YT video for this.
Great tip!
Thanks and Happy BD... we have both Sam's and Costco memberships. Lots of staples bought at both. We have branded credit cards with upgraded memberships for both. More than recover yearly membership for both. Sam's MC is especially useful with 5% back on fuel and the credit is immediate every billing cycle. Avoid the weekends and you should have no trouble parking on site or next door.
Yes we love having a Costco membership 👏🏻
Who was filming? I would have been flipping out. :-) You guys are so calm!
Corey from Finding out Someday!
So glad you got out of that mess with no damage except for ego.
It was all good!
That’s going to be a lot yard work
They have a whole crew that does this for them.
I’m sure the city or the county is going to love all the damage to the grass
They have a lot of equipment for just this reason because they have a lot of events here with horse trailers.
Remnants of the eclipse! LOL
Yes 👍😂
My truck is 4x4, but I also have the most aggressive tires I could get, a rear locker, a 12K winch, a kinetic strap, a come-along, a shovel, and 2x12x8 lumber with me.
The order of importance.
The 2x12s come first. $13 a piece an lay flat in the truck bed taking up no room, an have lots of uses including driving over an parking on.
Then the come-along for pulling.
Then the shovel to bury your spare or one of those boards as an anchor point for the come-along.
Then my tires. Street tires are nice if your tires never touch dirt, but aggressive tires are worth having when this happens.
Then a rear locker. That gives you more traction than 4x4. A 2x4 truck with a locker will out pull a 4x4 without lockers any day. Especially when you hook a 5th wheel to it.
The strap is nice if you have a friend around. I have never used it.
I have the winch because I am lazy an that come-along is work.
An the 4 wheel drive is the least useful part of my setup. Its usually gets you in to more trouble than it gets you out of. It adds very little pulling power especially on street tires. And being as its the most expensive thing on the list, I could have done without it. It saves me from pulling out a winch cable once or twice a year, so its nice to have, just least important.
Thanks for the tips!
Living in my travel trailer 24 footer total length but 20' box and pulling it with my Ram 1500 5.7 hemi I've learned to expect the unexpected anytime 😊 the only thing perfect is the freedom of off grid almost tax free . The freedom of pulling my home where I go is unexplainable .
On my 4th year and 37 states so far .
Awesome 👏🏻
Knew you had a base in TN but didn't know it was by Cookeville. We live in AZ but building a home and moving between Cookeville and Crossvile by Montery in an area called Cumberland Cove. Will use it as a home base then RV a fair amount. Hopefully see you on the road sometime.
How weird,i just watched a video of a shootout between Texas Sheriffs and a couple from Cookville TN, driving an 18 wheeler. It was apparently drug related, the couple is dead
We were born and raised in Cookeville!
Great video. How heavy is your rag you are Squatting a 3500 ram diesel .Pis happy birthday baby girl.
It’s not squatting, it’s just the angle.
Would love to be there! However, finishing RN school is taking precedence.
Keep up the good work!
Leave no trace
Yes, the ruts were repaired.
You have your truck deleted sounds good
Where did you stay in Little Rock? I know you mentioned that the downtown Riverside Park was a favorite, but it didn't look like that is where you stayed this time. We travel through Little Rock often and are always looking for new places to stay. Love your videos. Happy Birthday to Hensley!!🥳
We stayed in a quick on off site called Red River RV park. maps.app.goo.gl/Vew8P4h6RL6dMdTp6?g_st=i
Well that was a tad stressful. Hate getting stuck.
Yes! Thankfully we were rescued 😅
An unsolicited advice, when moving that slow and in that situation, I suggest putting your truck in 4 low, that is if you are not moving fast as in many mud or sandy situations
Thanks! It was in 4 low ☺️
Turn off the traction control 👍👍👍
We got it thanks!
Buy some go treads. They may just save the day.
Probably would have been helpful!
That’s the Bill Clinton Presidential Library, not just a museum. Cool area. Make sure to try the White Swan BBQ place sometime.
Oh yes sorry for misspeaking.
I'd go to a paved lot for the duration.
We left that location to head home!
Genuine RV newbie question here: when/if vehicles leave ruts in the grass, such as what happened to you and others as everyone was trying to leave the park in the beginning of the video, what, if anything, do you do about the ruts? Do you try to flatten or lessen the ruts? Or just leave them? I'm truly asking how to handle that situation. (Glad you were able to get out by the way!) Thanks in advance for sincere input.
Happy 10th Birthday to Hensley!!! 🥳💕
Always ask what they would like you to do, in most cases the property wants to do the repair themselves so they can ensue it’s done right. This is unfortunately the risk of having grass over pavement.
Replace your Divots 🤣
Yes!
When i am stuck, i get cardboard and it works really well.
Cardboard would have worked it was option C
When the storms of life assail you
And the waves overturn your boat
Don’t worry about what might have been
Just lay on your back and float
Love that!
@@LessJunkMoreJourney hoping you dried out😉
I was praying that Nathan would get unstuck. God was sure with you on this. I had a flash back you your getting stuck in Alaska. I remembered that.
Thank God for friends!
@@LessJunkMoreJourney
I agree! They dud come in handy for you!
@@LessJunkMoreJourney
Very true I agree!
