This has to be one of my favorite LJMJ tapes ever! Thanks for sharing your ordinary side, which is what we all experience daily, along with the exciting times. I smiled the whole time watching it. I consider you all friends though we have never met face to face. Watching Hensley's karaoke with her friends and Marissa was just adorable! Nathan that chicken looked amazing! I could almost smell it. God bless you all. ❤
An oak tree blew down onto our RV last year during a severe storm , and crushed the front end. We were fine but had to get another RV. We moved here to Oklahoma a couple of years ago, and all of this violent weather makes me want to return to Colorado! I washed dishes too - it's preparing you for real life when you are on your own. Y'all sing good😊
I have been full time RVing for over three years. It is A LOT of work. I am constantly doing DYI projects to fix all of the things that break..or making appointments for larger broken things. I think I’m going to move into my house again for awhile..to rest.😀
This really captured RV life. Glad that the tornado missed you, but it was comforting to see you prepared. Such bad storms these past weeks. Keep smiling!
Finally, we are back at it. After a 5 year break. I can only hope our families paths cross eventually… I love following you guys. Kinda crazy watching y’all’s family grow throughout the years.
This is the thing I think we hate the most with Tornadoes... and there has been a LOT this year my friend! We've been at our home base in KY and it's been a crazy 2024!! Always leave! Weather is just way too unpredictable! I think Hensley and our daughter Chloe would get along lol. Chloe always has a go-bag ready as soon as she hear's there is "possible" tornadoes lol. Also, I miss your videos like this!! These are my favorites. :)
I’m 50yrs old & I was singing 9-5 when I was a child. My friend & I made a dance to it & made our parents watch us 😂. Some things never change ❤ And I used to think it said, “smoking dope with a lot of your friends waiting for the day” 😮😮🫣🫣🤭
Lordie How Time Fllies ! I have been watching you since Hensley was a baby..I love your family and your contribution to each other and your viewers. Thank you for sharing your journey.
You both are doing such a great amazing job with those children teaching them the importance of chores and the school and a routine and also giving them some pretty epic Life Experiences
A great video from your home base. RV life / living small is still great. At 50 we moved out of the city into an older 5th wheel that was home for 6+ years. Building a very large house our selves & being able to provide daycare for our 3 grandchildren as they arrived. Now 25 years later we are looking forward to life in a 5th wheel again. Snowbirds in reverse so to speak.
Loving your video. It is real. Love seeing Marissa and Hensley in the kitchen singing 9 - 5. Love the song and the movie, which I found at a Half-Priced Bookstore for $4.99 a little over a month ago. My Dad, sister and I took turns doing the dishes when my mom cooked. So, it is good that kids learn and do some chores. This is a great video, thank you all for sharing. Also, I love you all's outdoor concert on the deck. Love the Northern lights. You all are lucky in Tennessee to have basements in the permanent buildings, Texas doesn't have basements, they just build houses on slabs, and we get more than our share of tornadoes. A little over a year ago in December 2022, the Grapevine area, (not far from Euless), Texas had a breakout of tornadoes, that damaged a Sam's and a Walmart, a car wash and various other places, the carwash got rebuilt, the Walmart got fixed, and the Sams had reopened earlier this year. One reason I love the west side of the Rockies (Utah side), is that we didn't get tornadoes, when I went to college there back in 1978-1982. They did get one in Salt Lake City, in August 1999 which surprised me, but it is rare that Utah, gets in tornadoes.
We have lived in OKC for the last 19 years so I know exactly what you are going through with the severe weather. We watch Ryan Hall Y’all on TH-cam in addition to the local channels.
We are full time and had 5 tornadoes while in Tennessee, you may have seen our video. I wish we would have had a basement, that is a best case scenario for sure….take care.
I finally broke down and bought a travel trailer and a new tow vehicle. It’s only been 2 months full timing but I already love and hate it. 😂 There are all the things you see on TH-cam, then there the things you don’t see like unclogging the toilet, setting up the rig in the rain, or forgetting to turn on the water heater when you really needed a hot shower before going to a work meeting the office. I’ve already battled storms in Tennessee and rough roads in New Jersey. So far, the worst of RV life is the drive between camp sites. Driving stinks!
We actually rode out a tornado in middle TN about 30 years ago while in vacation with the family and a very pregnant wife. FYI, BBQ, beans, and cornbread are not good just before spending time "together" riding out a storm in the basement
Hi Nathan and Marissa! Great video! So glad you were ok from the tornado. I concerned of my sister who lives in Tennessee as well with the tornado but she said it flew by them and went else where..Thank goodness you all and my sister and her husband were ok. Love how you trying to hide from the Nathan’s meeting to get your clothes. It was seeing the entertainment with the dinner. Nice dinner show. lol! 😊 Great video! Love you guys! ❤❤🤗🤗 Have a great week and see you soon!
me and my best friend both live to travel so we both want to move into an RV and explore the US together. This video was really helpful to understand what life would really be like doing this and was very helpful.
I love you guys. I really enjoy the way you show us the behind the scenes portions of your life which is why I look forward to seeing your next video. Thanks for being awesome.
Well what do you know? We were in Monterey at the same time you were at your base home! We went to the camp office when the Tornado warnings were out. All o.k. We did not see the Aurora though. We didn't know about it and were sleeping! 🇨🇦
We just got home from camping today and we had to take shelter in the bath house because a tornado went right over our campground. What was concerning was we were in a hollow where signals are non-existent
@@LessJunkMoreJourney, the trick is... I clean ours with a vacuum about every three cooks. One other issues I feel is the pellets get moist if they sit long in the hopper. and it will seem to never get to temp... and what happens is because the pellets are damp they do not burn well and the auger overloads the fire pot and I have never had that problem as long as the pellets were fresh ...Steaks and ribs on that thing ....
We just purchased a weather radio to feel more confident we will receive warnings in our rv. We just need to tell it what county we are in when we are parked.
Thanks so much for sharing your family time with us. Please tell me those were plastic jars going into the ice for coffee and not glass. Glass can chip off into the ice and you'll never know.
It's not 'big feet' it's 'superior balance'. For Nathan, something that might be useful from a noise perspective is something I had to solve. I record content for a youtube channel where I teach illustration software. Being in an RV exposes us to a lot of background noise. Turns out in this age of AI, we can get rid of background noise through a nifty piece of software called Krisp. It's on the Mac and PC (I believe, I use it on the Mac). It removes background noise in real time during audio recording. A car drives by, or a child singing outside, no problem. They have a free version that lets you record up to an hour at a time or for like $100/year you get unlimited. It's a game changer for me being in an RV.
Kids need to do small chores like dishes it's a lifeskill lol. I'm No. 1 of 8 kids plus my parents , so we all pitched in and got the laundry 🧺, dishes, bathroom chores it prepared us all for life.
Me too! I am oldest of 5 kids and by the time I was 12, I could do just about anything; cook, clean, laundry, baby sit...It really prepared me for life! Kudos to you for teaching your children life skills!
I am watching this while folding clothes. When Hensley was washing dishes and said "I don't want to be" (a helper) I laughed and said, " I know me either! "

Stay safe out there on the roads Take care God bless you guys 😊 keep the videos coming enjoy your weekend. Happy Memorial Day to you y'all ❤😊🇱🇷🇱🇷🎊🎊🍺🍺
Marissa, is there anything you feel like the kids don’t get from homeschooling that you have to supplement? Whether that be from the curriculum itself, the fact that all kids are different learners, being on the road, or just in general?
I feel like this curriculum along with real life experiences provide our kids with even more education than they would get in a traditional school setting.
Marissa I have big feet too, but I’m 5’9” so I need big feet to stand stable. My mom used to tell me that I’m standing firm on the ground because of my feet! 😂
I remember when you had an issue with the front part of your Grand Design. I was looking back to see it again and couldn’t find it. Was that anything to do with the frame flex and what did you do for the repair?
My brother is selling his RV Trailer...my Mom wants to sell a truck perfectly capable of towing it....and I keep doing the calculations on how to make it possible, given I'm a few years out from retirement.
If folks will watch y’all on a week-to-week basis for 18-24 months, they will know what RV life is like - - keep on keeping it real. Thank you!
