When I am still feeling relatively ok, and hoping for remission from cancer, i know I dont want pain and suffering so I dont want to be resuscitated, and dream of beautuful happy celebratory funeral. Maybe I will feel and think differently when death is very near, approaching fast. By then you have have already commited yourself in writing and cannot change anything
As long as you are able to make your own decisions, you should continue to make them. The ACP is to help your family members to know what your preferences are if you are no longer able to. ACP is NOT a legal document, it acts as a guide for your loved ones in times of need.
In my life. Due to medical procedures I was put “under.” It was great-did not want to return. A friend of mine strangled me in the 6th grade…I heard angels singing…he panicked and revived me…I was angry cause I did not want to come back. I have had many close calls…guess I have much negative Karma to work out. Suicide out of the question cause it is a curse I will place on my loved ones…so I will endure suffering till my natural end which is actually a reward for me….💔💔💔
