      There's no perceivable sound difference between each other (That I can tell).

    Hi. I have the Zsn pro which I listen to on my Fiio player and amp. They are really good, great amount of detail. But on many occasions they sound to harsh and bright on certain tracks. Will upgrading to an 8 core or 16 core cable, open up the stage and reduce congestion in general? If yes which would you recommend more 8 or 16. Plus I want upgrade because the stock cable is a tangling night mare.

    great video,i know i have come to the party late here but wanted to ask...does the connection to the source matter...i.e...i replced my IEM standard cable which came with my TFZ-T2's for one from amazon but the 3.5mm connection to the source has strated to cut out after a year or so and has to be moved around in the 3.5mm socket to get a decent connection,not sure if this either an issue with the player OPPO HA-2 dac/amp socket or the actual cable connection plug,so am looking to upgrade to find out...is there anything you can advise on when purchasing a cable as to what to look for in the 3.5mm jack connection end which would be better quality to stop this issue

    • @DNTarc
      @DNTarc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad you liked the video!
      In my experience, all 3.5 cables work the same, you might find some with a gold-plated or silver-plated plug, that doesn't make a difference at all.
      Try connecting your cable to another source to see if it's your player or your cable, if it's your cable, I suggest getting a new cable as you might damage your IEM :)

      For the TRN M10 I'd recommend using the stock cable :)
      If you get any 6,8 or 16core cable you will have to get rid of the pre-formed memory earhook since the M10 is not used like an IEM (meaning that it doesn't go over and around your ear).

      Those are the plug types!
      3.5 is the standard plug which you can use for your phone and PC
      2.5 is what is known as a balanced audio plug, it offers cleaner sound but your device needs to have a 2.5mm jack (some HiFi music players and amplifiers have that)
      And I do believe that a 4.4mm is also a balanced, but don't quote me on that, and well,I'd recommend you to stick with 3.5mm until you get more familiar with more complicated audio/connection stuff :)

      Neither of those have a difference in clarity :)
      Even though sellers tell you that X cable is going to increase mid-bass and soundstage and Y cable is going to boost treble and clarity

    Tripowin c8 vs kbear 16 core pure copper cable?
    Want to go with a balanced cable for my fiio fh3 paired with fiio btr5.
    From unbalanced yo balanced, will there be a difference in sound? Especially since fiio btr5 uses dual dacs on its balanced port

    • @DNTarc
      @DNTarc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd recommend not worrying about balanced audio with IEMs, in my experience there's not a huge sound difference, think of it as high and low gain.
      With headphones (specially more demanding ones) the sound difference is more noticeable; more instrument separation and more clarity/definition.
      So honestly go with whichever cable you like the most :)
      And of course, this is merely my opinion 😊

    • @siddharthtandon7588
      @siddharthtandon7588 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DNTarc I get your point. And thanks for the quick reply btw.
      The thing is that I have been hearing that the balanced port on fiio btr5 is quite a bit better than single ended. Probably cause of dual dacs vs single dac or something else. Not sure on that as well.
      So i wanted to experience it myself.
      Though in this search I also don't want to buy a cable that would mask the sound. So in a way make it worse.
      Aah well i guess I am confusing you too

    • @DNTarc
      @DNTarc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not at all! I understand what you mean :)
      Cables (in my experience) don't make a huge difference in sound, I haven't used the btr5 though I've heard good things about it. I wouldn't worry about a cable masking the sound, though I suppose the seller might have a better answer about their cable :)

      @@quintuplebanned4267 Ah, yes.
      If anyone's reading this comment, no, there's no real difference in sound quality if you buy a higher x-core cable, or bought a silver cable. It's more for the feel and look of the cable, rather than the intrinsic properties. (Did I use that word right? 'intrinsic')
