You can say rushed but not emotional? It takes a rock to not to feel the shocking emotions of the final season.
That shot from Daenerys in ashes with the dragon on her shoulder is such a masterpiece. Its that kind of shot which looks extremely iconic, it has this kind of feel to it like its from an old fantasy movie. I bet in 30 years it will be remembered as one of the most beutiful scenes from this era.
It's amazing how Jaime is in a lot of the casts' story boards-Cersei's, Brienne, Bran's important moments. Goes to show how his journey in GoT is truly unique. They couldn't have picked a better actor than Nikolaj.
Best goodbye scene: Jaime and Tyrion. So sad. They both cried. Heck, I cried.

I feel like D and D put more effort in the goodbye speeches than in the last season...
Going to be so sad seeing what they do with this new Star Wars show when they so easily give up when something else is offered to them.

You might not like the ending, but without them, none of the show would exist
@@kingkeanu6784 yeah, but they rushed the ending when they could have just as easily handed the show over to someone else who could take over. The ending had too many continuity errors to make sense. You could tell they just wanted to be done with it.
They could have let other people to finish the show properly. It's quite understandable they wanted to move on. But the show needed more time. The solution was to let others step in.
Overall it was an excellent series, a little less rushed and it would be over the top. But damn good in my book.
I like they managed to convince George. I loved season 1, 3, 4, and 5. There were some stand out episodes in the rest. I don’t even much mind where characters ended up. But getting them there near the end, and the nonsensical staging of beautiful battle scenes sucked away so much good feeling by the end of season 8. Still one of my fave shows of all time.
2:40 Lyanna Mormont's best moment was when she spoke in the Season 6 finale for Jon Snow convincing grown men.
I liked mostly her very first scene & her very last scene.

I just finished watching this show last night for the first time. I can honestly say this is the best show I've ever seen in my 62 years. Brilliant. I'm sad it had to end.
No matter what happened in the last season I'm really grateful for D&D for giving us so many great memories.One bad season doesn't define the entire show.I've loved it more than any other show in the world and I will keep loving it until my last day.

What a group. You don't always get a cast that loves each other and gets along so well. Seems like they had so much fun making the greatest TV show ever.

Well let's see. At season 5, they thought they would only be approved for 7 seasons so they had to rush it. Afterwards, it wasn't rushed

Partly because by then the five top stars were earning $1 million per episode. So having a 6 episode season saves tons of money over having a 10 episode season.

It's difficult to watch this knowing how s8 squandered the writing.
Don't put all the blame on D&D. George Martin was responsible to finish at least WoW years ago. D&D were not the creator of the story. They were supposed to just ADAPT the story to a TV show, which they did a great job on that when they had the book (season 1-6). It is hard to finish someone else's job, especially, a poly-hero saga such as song of ice and fire.
@@shadmehr99 As many others have pointed out, if they want to rush out of the project to do Star Wars they could have give a few seasons for others to finish.
It's not hard to figure out some basic things though, like if you establish that Arya still can faceswap that she should be sent to kill Cersei and Euron to avoid a war, which could possibly be lost and even kill Jon and so many others.
That these so called leaders do not even discuss a matter such as this makes the writing look really, really derp level to its maximum.
You could've said something like, "Love this show, didn't quite like the ending, but appreciate all the hard work put into it" or, "Glad to see the cast one last time"
Instead you complain about 8th season.....

My GoT playlist is filled with analysis on the lackluster writing, and I specifically complain about the writing in the original post and added to it by saying that it could have been given away to someone else to extend the time to make the story at least somewhat plausible instead of the Hollywood crap we got.
Three bad guys to deal with in one season, a short season at that.
It was never going to be done properly this way.

It would have been so fun to be a part of this show you can tell everyone involved loved each other and loved working together. There probably wasn’t one person on set that woke up in the morning and was upset they had to go to work.

I can say all the actors are soo extremely worth it and deserves their character more than anyone else. They portrayed it so good that wecant imagine anyone to top what they had done. And cant consider anyone to play the character other than them. Indeed,they are the originals and we love them so badddd

Also, you can't just write more because you don't want it to end.
I'm sure even if they went their way and parted from the unwritten book's and created more episodes, whiners will still be unsatisfied.
