I love that his natural speaking voice is the voice he uses for Tywin. A lot of the actors and actresses change dialects (not that there's anything wrong with that!), but hearing Charles in interviews feels extra cool for me. It's like they're interviewing Tywin himself. Then again, Charles Dance is like a Tywin with morals. A confident, enigmatic badass with one of the best voices ever.
It is correct. You wouldn't call Queen Elizabeth II by her name would you? you would say "Queen". Even if it were a Knight or Dame you still would include the Sir/Dame "Hello lizzy how are you today?" "Hello my Queen how are you today?" I think it is obvious which one sounds correct.
Charles Dance is just so charismatic. lmao when the guy is like imma talk to the oldest and he looks back. I would gladly take you for my grandfather. Please, Im begging.
Charles seems to have a face for villains, I love it. Might just be me but when he plays Tywin he is 100% of the time looking like a man you do not want to fuck around with.
Wow, whenever Charles speaks there's just this tension. Never thought an actor would make that much of an impression on me simply by opening his mouth.
***** I know what Gandalf has, and it's not enough to overcome that stare. You know, the one that tells you you're on time out despite you being a grown ass man or woman regardless of age.
Haha yes, I remember I had difficulty remembering all the names, especially smaller characters. But come on, the actor was already very known before the show and Tywin was notorious from the first moment! :D But I will give him the benefit of the doubt ;-)
Tbh throughout the whole thing I was thinking it's obvious he had no idea about the show. Mispronouncing Ygritte, forgetting who plays Danaerys (nobody calls her Khaleesi). He's obviously never watched it
So strange seeing an older interview in which GOT had to be explained and everyone had to describe their character. Now it's the most renowned tv show ever.
Am I the only one that thinks Charles Dance would have made a badass James Bond (in his younger years of course). My guess is he would have been a lot like Daniel Craig's version; cold-hearted and very intelligent
Actually, he would make an AWESOME Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the new series. Blofeld is pretty much the closest thing to an arch-enemy Bond has ever had, and somebody like Dance could do a spectaclular job.
I hear rumors..they are making a special James Bond. He is old and retried, and he's called for one last mission..and they asked Charles if he would play this role.
I first remember Charles Dace from the 1986 Eddie Murphy movie the Golden Child, where he play a evil lord. Almost 30 years and he is playing a similar role as a evil protector in a fantasy tale...
It would be so interesting if you lock in one room all the members of the prominent families in GoT without any weapons and under strict watch (so no one would be able to kill anyone with bare hands) and make just TALK to each other. Not that it would solve anything, but just... entertaining.
Well, if the representative for the Lannisters was Queen Cersei, it STILL would NOT be pretty. That woman's tongue is a weapon as deadly as ANY sword in GoT ;)
So you're just watching the interview and Jonathan makes a remark about Sir Ian McKellen and suddenly there's a coach with Gandalf an the Doctor on it!
5:40 "They get bored at work." There's something inherently comic about Kit Harrington when he slips in such jokes and you miss some. One of the most entertaining and amusing interviews I've ever watched. Great cast from a great series and they represented themselves very well as down to Earth people who know how to loosen up and have a good time after working so hard to make GoT such a cinematic phenomenon.
charles dance is like the classiest person ever ive seen on tv. woooow. blows my mind. i need a guy like him but younger kind please. my life would be complete. pls heavens. make it true
Charles Dance looks like he is supposed to be in Medieval England ruling over a kingdom.
The next Real Life Historical Ruler would be King Longshanks...
Hahahaha yes he does hahahahahaha
He is ruling Nilfgaard actually.
He looks like he is supposed to be in charge of the Royal Navy during World War 1 or 2.
Doesn't look like he'd be a better king than Charles? Maybe it's time for a Dance Rebellion....
A Lannister, a Wildling, and a bastard exit a room...... Sounds like a beginning of a joke.

I prefer Charles a thousand times over Kit. Charles has class, manliness and VOICE.
he didnt dance tho
VOICE
1:19 - "Kindly, benevolent father". Charles Dance is such a boss.
Kris Bland i mean he is a kind father to Jaime not his other 2 children and his dick grandchild
It's true when you think about it.
It's amazing how he can stay in character.
Funny how a Lannister oozes power, whether in a three-piece suit or in armor.
Not just any Lannister, but Tywin Lannister and in this case Charles Dance.
Really great casting.
"She is wildling and she lives north of the wall, a kind of barren landscape"

Charles Dance has the most amazing look, voice and presence for his role in GoT. An amazing actor.
