@@ACGreviews yeah same, Nintendo are in the past with “content creators “ annoyingly the reason we were given was “to stop leaks” welllll that’s worked out well for them.
I was at the game store the second the opened to buy it then run home to play it. Xenoblade is my favourite franchise but I’ll still always want to listen to ACG talk about stuff I like
One thing I wonder is if the combat chatter got toned down, because in Xeno 2 it was incredibly annoying and I turned it off completely about six hours in and then it just felt strange for the rest of my 100+ hour playthrough that it was so quiet during combat, but it was that or go back to having my ears blown out by Tora screeching obnoxiously.
Doubt that. There's a possibility that they might include an option to alter the frequency, but that runs into a bit of a gameplay-feedback problem where you might not get voice cues for when characters use Arts. Maybe they could have an option to turn off just the auto-attack grunts and not the Art callouts, but I dunno.
Look at this then look at Arceus. Looks at how big Xenoblade franchise is and then look at Pokemon ip worth. It's embarrassment that they released Arceus looking like that.
I wish Monolith Soft wasn't constrained to the Switch. Clearly such a talented studio deserves to put that scope onto platforms that won't limit them! Great get for Nintendo but such a bummer.

Amazing review, this is one of best jrpgs series out there, impressive what Monolith Soft has done here, with the Switch hardware, thanks Karak.
Dude, this game looks mighty impressive. When I get a switch, I think this one might be a buy.
WTFFFFFF. I had no idea you were into these games. Thats legit!
Well this one for sure lol
The only negative: No mech. I want my Xenoblade X mech back.
That menu music though!!! Freaking amazing, sometimes when I take a break from playing I just hit "X" and let the music play
As someone who’s never played any of these games, you easily convinced me to jump into this one.
Oh wow. I wasn't expecting you to review this game, but I'm happy you did! Great review, man.
I've taken a two week break from gaming, because I know starting this Friday, I won't exist for a month. This is my most anticipated game in years.
wow, incredible review. I was skeptical about this one but feel a lot more confident in a purchase.
Closest game to Xenogears, especially thematically, in decades
Amazing review as always! I was very surprised to see you covering a Nintendo game. Are you considering doing a walking the walk for this game at some point?
Great review! I like how you went in detail on how amazing and massive the world is. I’m excited to play it
ACG you are an artist when it comes to reviews! I doubt youre a fan of Anthony Bourdain, but I feel you do for games what he did for food and travel. Simply the best in the biz.
Was surprised you did this review since you guys always bash the Switch on your podcast. But as a truck driver the Switch is my go to gaming platform. Was on the fence but this what I needed. Thanks a ton!
I _REALLY, really, _*_really_* want a remake, remaster, or just a straight up port of the *_Xenosaga_* trilogy.
Heartbreaking fact: they were considering re-releasing the games a while ago, but decided against it due to perceived lack of interest.
@@CRAgamer I recall reading a short article on that awhile ago. But what they don't understand is that even if there's not a huge fan base for the series, there is for the Xeno games in general and with proper marketing it could be as big a deal as Xenoblade.
Game looks stunning considering the hardware. Imagine how insane looking would Monolith Studios games (and most Nintendo studios in general) be if the next Nintendo console is at least as powerful as a PS4.
Thanks!!! Incredibly comprehensive review w/out spoilers👍🏾
I hope Xeno can hit mainstream finally.
Seeing what happens to “mainstream”, I wouldn’t wish for that.
“Store bought ;)” haha
same 🥰
Ya to do it. No way they would give me a copy
@@ACGreviews yeah same, Nintendo are in the past with “content creators “ annoyingly the reason we were given was “to stop leaks” welllll that’s worked out well for them.
Never thought i would see ACG enjoy a jrpg so much.
I haven’t played a xenoblade game yet but I think I will jump in with this one.
I miss your reviews for switch titles Karak. So happy you still doing them here and there ^^
From the moment this was announced this has been one of my most anticipated games of the year. Looks great. I am beyond stoked to get started
Monolith may just surpassed Squarenix in my books i jsut love these guys!
Wow I didn't expect you to review this! Nice!
I want to play this but I can’t get around the blurry visuals .
I was at the game store the second the opened to buy it then run home to play it. Xenoblade is my favourite franchise but I’ll still always want to listen to ACG talk about stuff I like
Luckily I saw this thumbnail. Nearly forgot to pre order it from Amazon with a good discount. Can’t wait for TGIF lol.
Great review!
Excited to play this and happy to hear it runs well on handheld, since I have a Switch Lite.
I'll let it sit for a while, but man am I looking forward to legally emulating this on my Steam Deck.
Facts bro 💯 your reviews are are always top notch even if I don't always have the same opinion on everything I still watch u first
One thing I wonder is if the combat chatter got toned down, because in Xeno 2 it was incredibly annoying and I turned it off completely about six hours in and then it just felt strange for the rest of my 100+ hour playthrough that it was so quiet during combat, but it was that or go back to having my ears blown out by Tora screeching obnoxiously.
Doubt that. There's a possibility that they might include an option to alter the frequency, but that runs into a bit of a gameplay-feedback problem where you might not get voice cues for when characters use Arts. Maybe they could have an option to turn off just the auto-attack grunts and not the Art callouts, but I dunno.
No, chatter is still there as annoying as ever. (No option to turn it off. It almost seems like F*u from the developer at this point)
@@Mikx100 Well that's a shame.
How was this game and the new Pokémon made on the same console? 😂
Look at this then look at Arceus. Looks at how big Xenoblade franchise is and then look at Pokemon ip worth. It's embarrassment that they released Arceus looking like that.
highest grossing franchise of all time btw
Is there any interaction with the Save Files from XB1 and XB2 such as the X1 granting 100k gold for having a XB2 save?
Now we need is a Xenoblade Chronicles X port.
This Is the first review that didn’t feel overwhelming for me. I haven’t looked up anything about this one. This is a solid review Imo
One of my favorite game series! Was so stoked to see this review up. Now I can't freaken wait! Thanks for another great review!
Ever since Xenoblade Chronicles X I’ve wondered how a Monolith Soft game would look on a more powerful console. It’d be incredible for sure
I love the stressed pause on the voice acting opinion. Had me worried.
I wish Monolith Soft wasn't constrained to the Switch. Clearly such a talented studio deserves to put that scope onto platforms that won't limit them! Great get for Nintendo but such a bummer.
They're like the type of talented studio that Sony pumps money into. Nintendo needs to put out some upgraded hardware ASAP.
Awesome review as always! Uploading 4K60 was a bit redundant here for a Switch game :O
So happy to see this review from you! Probably one of my favorite series so far on the switch and just really happy it's hitting the marks!
@ 3:55 when talking about the grass (I am not disagreeing or complaining). I really do not notice it until it is pointed out to me. When I am playing games sometimes I am so caught up in what I am doing (running away from/after a enemy, battling, etc.) I only see what I need to be concentrating on. Thanks for your very detailed review of the game. Picking up my copy on launch day.
Ya I can see that. And I swear in some spots its the reverse. But it was so odd I had to mention it.
@@ACGreviews 👍🏾
thx for the review. i was hoping you review this and then you are even giving it a buy. so i buy ;-)
the only question i have. can you resize the HUD in combat? i know on a small Switch Screen it should be large but i'm going to play it on a 65" TV and in all Trailer and Pre/Review it thought that the UI is too large.
So..which character has amnesia?
70 hours in makes sense, these games are very long. Glad you are reviewing it! These games are a commitment but always pretty great! Wish me luck golfing in your state today Karak lol.
The only need keeping me from playing it right now lol
Games like this are nice. They're not afraid to make you work for the rewards of their intricate battle systems, because they know it'll be fun for you. It's usually the Japanese coming up with this stuff. Good for them.
I’ve played about 15 hours on pc and every single mission has waypoints and map directives lol
@@jonr7364 You're right hehe. My 2nd paragraph was unnecessarily mean to other games. Removed it.
@@Saith516 still an awesome game though. Definitely picking it up on the 29th
I've got so much more respect for how much effort it is just say words into a microphone. Enunciation alone is hell.
Thank the lord you are covering thus
