Iskander was a king with ambition while shirou was nothing more than a "faker" which led to gil's downfall. More so than his arrogance, I would say gil's downfall was his pride.

It was Studio DEEN's decision to bring in UBW for the 2006 anime because reasons.
We are never shown how Archer achieved killing berserker 6 times, we are just told he did it. Studio Dean Used the reality Marble as a possible explanation to how he pulled it off.
As much as I love DEEN's FSN adaptation(not the UBW movie), I feel like they could've done more by actually showing Archer's full fight against Berserker. Let us see how he brought the giant down six times(rather than the anime's five) and let us see how he was finally brought down rather than letting it happen offscreen.
Doesn't take away from the fact that it was a good fight in the anime since entire choreography was original. It feels like you didn't like UBW in Deen's adaptation and that's ok but would you have liked it if it was simply off screen just like the VN ? At least they made something cool.
We can't know. It's possible he used a few Noble Phantasms to take a few life from Berserker. Still, I think it's most likely that he used his Reality Marble. What is certain is that, in the VN, the UBW is only shown to us in the UBW route.

The issue is that it technically isn't canon, the UBW from the VN has a circle of flame surrounding Shirou/Archer and then flame going up from it and the UBW world manifesting. Not something that looks like it's destroying reality, DEEN Fate did it well.

Yep. That's how it should be. The concept of omni directional sword spam is why UBW is so broken. Also Fate Kaleid Oath Under Snow shows how UBW could be used.

Say what you want about Fate Stay Night but Studio Deen definitely outdid themselves in Archer Vs Berserker. They even made an entirely original scenario since in the VN the fight happens off screen.
Studio DEEN may not have the most stellar fights(especially compared to Ufotable) but the character designs, expressions and overall atmosphere of the 'world' it paints just hits different y'know? With a few exceptions here and there of course.

I've always been able to... see objects in my mind. In the VN, where he explains how he see's the air conditioner... that's how I see things. I was put into Auto Desk CAD in middle school and was a savant at it. In real life, unlimited blade works translates to 3d modelling skills. I am proficient at blender now.
Well you can also count Emiya Alter's Unlimited Lost works and Muramasa's Tsumakari Muramasa, since these versions of the UBW combined every weapon inside one thing, a bullet in Unlimited Lost Works and a katana that can cut anything in Tsumakari Muramasa

@@Skel_fgc we don't see him fight Berserker, correct, however Nasu stated either in an interview or something that he didn't use UBW during his fight, but still killed Berserker 6 times. As for why he didn't use it A.) He was still injured from fighting Artoria, B.) Probably didn't want to kill Illya, which was a real possibility, and C.) Probably didn't have the energy to manifest it. It's expensive after all

The counter guardian didn't require master because as we all know Alaya (Will to protect humanity )will support him with enough mana to finish the job. Maybe if Berserker or Gilgamesh become threat to Humanity Alaya will support EMIYA to fight them.

It the difference situation, In stay night route Berserker is in his best form even EMIYA project nine lives , Beserker can counter it. In Heaven Feel Berserker is blackened by mud his body is rotten no sense, can't see and his ability is not working ( God hand ). When shirou attack with nine lives , only 8 blows are land berserker continue to attack but stop because illya then shirou can land his last attack to finish the job.
Archer was still wounded, and from what we know of the fight in the vn, it seems like he did not use ubw or his broken phantasms. It's unknow why, but from what we know from heaven feel's and fgo it seems like he has a soft spot for illya.
