That's going to depends heavily on your waffle iron. Anytime you try a different recipe you pretty much have to make a few sacrificial waffles to get it dialed in. Different batter reacts differently to the same temperature. Starting at the medium temperature is always a good idea. Which for the recipe I use, turns out to be the proper temperature to get a Crispy Waffle without over Browning it.
That never happens to me n i don’t really know the problem is. But I always preheat my waffle maker at least 5-10min before putting the batter in, one more thing is that i clean it gently with soft paper tower not scrub it too hard to keep the nonstick layer last longer i think 😊

Organic (Organic Everything btw) unbleached all purpose flour 2 heaping tBs baking powder 1 heaping tSp. Baking soda 1 heaping tSp of salt and don’t you dare use iodized table salt!! In fact throw that crap in the trash and get some Hawaiian or Himalayan! 1 cup of Florida Crystals raw cane sugar 2 melted tBs of REAL butter 2 eggs 1/2 n 1/2 heavy whipping cream/and whatever milk you prefer 2 tSp vanilla extract ( Madagascar sourced if you’re trying to impress) ***** Uncommon but absolute MUST INGREDIENT: about 1 heaping tBs CINNAMON Mix all the dry first then mix all the wet, then mix them together. If you’re lucky enough to have a good relationship with a cast iron skillet I definitely recommend using that! ****ANOTHER MUST: Every time you cook a pancake, add about level tbs of high heat oil like Safflower is awesome actually! Heat the skillet to about medium high. Make sure you let it get pretty hot to where you see the oil start separating. Pour in about. 1/2 cup and (with gloves cuz it’ll prolly be hot and maybe turn it down to 6/7 and back up as you need to). Swivel the skillet so you can make a roundish pancake AND that has TWO golden crispy outer rings😎. Top of off with fresh berries and maybe a dollop of HWC (mix on high for a min or so until you get whip cream…if you mix too long you’ll get butter.). A slice of butter and some high grade pure maple syrup. I challenge any recipe to top this one. I had to abandon mine after I tried this one! You’re welcome😊. OH AND DONT FLIP MORE THAN ONCE OR THEY GET FLAT. The first one is usually for my dog cuz for whatever reason it’s always the reject that no one wants. Anyway., lemme know if you try i! You don’t have to be so precise either. I can’t remember the last time I measured an ingredient and they come out perfect every time.

For Me: There's a couple of things missing in this recipe so this one is not for me. I'm looking for an original old recipe and not a modern version. Some traditional recipes are better than modern versions.
