@kerem8580 hello! Unfortunately, It’s normal that the waffle will lose its crispiness after 5-10minutes at room temperature. So it’s recommended to eat it fresh
I love this recipe but the better is a little too thin. If i go up to a full cup of flour to thicken the batter should I also go up to 1/2 cup of cornstarch? And do I need to adjust to adjust any of the other dry ingredients?
For a full cup of flour, you should adjust to around 1.5/4 cup of cornstarch. But I know it’s hard to measure that, so it’s fine to go up to 1/2 cup of cornstarch. Anyway, the batter supposed to be thin. If you preferred it to be thicker, you can put it into the fridge for few hours and it will be thicker.
@@NotATechGuy I've tried this recipe a few times and I can't quite get the exact crispyness all the way through like you do. Hello, yes I think that would be ok to use other kind of milk, it should not affect the texture but maybe the taste might be slightly different. Let me know if you have done it, cheers! 😁
It is worth noting that using a detergent cleaner on a waffle plate is never recommended th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn though people who don't understand about kitchen hygiene won't understand that a stiff brush is all that is necessary to clean the inside of the unit. Let it cool slightly but still perform the cleaning while it's warm. I used to have a Black and Decker unit that I just loved, and was concerned when we had to replace it that I might not find one that I like just as much. This one does it for me.
Hello! Can I check if you substituted the egg with something else? Or you simply just removed the egg from the recipe? I would like to learn about egg less recipe too. Thanks :)
If you prefer it to be sweeter, you can add 50% more sugar from the recipe. Because i intentionally reduced the sugar portion from this recipe. Or, eat the waffle with sweet toppings such as maple syrup (my favourite) or Nutella :)
Can i make the batter beforehand? Will it be okay to leave the batter overnight? Or maybe 3-4 hours? Will the result still be crispy and fluffy or it will affect the texture? If we can premake the batter what's the maximum time we should keep it?
Absolutely! Maximum lead time to prepare the batter is 24 hours. I sometimes have leftover of the batter and kept it overnight at fridge. Then it’s still good to go on the next day.
Hello, invest in a surface temperature gun and make sure your waffle pan is heated till 180 degree Celsius, then you can proceed to put in the batter to cook for about 5mins.
Hello. I do not recommend pudding powder. If you don’t t have cornstarch, you can consider replacing it with corn flour. Or even just replace it with normal flour.
@@veldasl1460 hello, as the batter yield around 4 pieces of waffle, each waffle will roughly take in 20g of butter which I think is within reasonable range.
Yes absolutely! Just replace the same amount of butter as oil. Try to use oil with the least flavour. I have used canola oil as a butter replacement before.
Hello, unfortunately the crispness can only sustain for about 5-10mins. 1 trick of mine is to put it into oven at 150degree C for around 5mins, that should bring back the crispness
Hello, yes you can make the batter the night before, but it won’t make any difference in the taste/texture. And also do take note that don’t keep the batter for more than 2 days. It might go bad.

@@Skyririhigh yes you can. It won’t affect t the texture, but your waffle will be slightly salty.
Quantity remains the same.
I love waffle. It is good that you have a good waffle maker 👍🏻
Yes! I love waffle too! 😃
My waffle maker has been very faithful to me for the past 6 years, love it too!
@@NotATechGuy great investment i would say. now it is difficult to find the 2 slices model
Luv this I love my waffles krispy. Thanks💜
Thank you so much for your kind feedback 😊
can we use oil instead of butter
Hello, yes you can! Try to use flavour-less oil such as vegetable oil (sunflower, canola, etc) so that it won’t affect the taste.
Good day there.. please share what can I use instead of eggs as I am pure vegeterian?
Hello, good day!
I am afraid that I can't help with that as I haven't try the recipe with any egg replacement. So sorry for that :(
@@NotATechGuy np tysm for the replyy
These look so good
Thank you! Your comment made my day! :)
Are you sure the butter matches the rest of ingredients? It seems fit for double amount...
Yup! 80g of melted butter. Can yield 3-4 waffles.
I tied this morning. It is crispy outside and tender inside. Enjoy!
Thank you! I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed it 😊
do you think this would be ok if i used a different kind of milk? i am vegetarian i will use the eggs but i wanted to use almond milk!
Thanks :)
Can we make it eggless without compromising on crisp
Hello, I am so sorry that I have never tried eggless on this recipe before :(
@@NotATechGuy no worries still it's a great recipe
Can I replace cornstarch with corn flour . Will it be as crispy if I do? I don't have cornstarch
Hello, yes you can. The difference shouldn’t be that significant. In some countries, cornflour is equivalent to cornstarch.
Can I subtitute the butter with vegetable oil?
Hello, yes you can. I have tried that before :)
Was going to ask this question, glad i saw your reply.. i find using oil is more convenient.. thanks for the recipe
@@ismethyazminmohammad6464 You are most welcome :)
Indeed that oil is more convenient, no need to melt the butter, haha.
Hope you enjoy the waffle!
hello! my waffle dont really have much taste:< what ingredient should i add
Hello! May I know any specific taste that you are expecting for? Normally, the waffle would have a buttery taste and also subtle egg taste.
hmm maybe something sweeter
If you prefer it to be sweeter, you can add 50% more sugar from the recipe. Because i intentionally reduced the sugar portion from this recipe.
Or, eat the waffle with sweet toppings such as maple syrup (my favourite) or Nutella :)
thank you!! the waffle recipe is really helpful
@@benjaminneo5738 you are most welcome! Thank you :)
One of the best videos!! ❤️
Thank you 😊
How to make crispy on gas waffel pan.plz tell me anyone
Hello, invest in a surface temperature gun and make sure your waffle pan is heated till 180 degree Celsius, then you can proceed to put in the batter to cook for about 5mins.
would pudding powder work instead of cornstarch or would it make the taste strange?
Hello. I do not recommend pudding powder. If you don’t t have cornstarch, you can consider replacing it with corn flour. Or even just replace it with normal flour.
Just wanted to ask - is it too much butter to eat in one sitting? 80g is a lot of butter!
@@veldasl1460 hello, as the batter yield around 4 pieces of waffle, each waffle will roughly take in 20g of butter which I think is within reasonable range.
Thank you for the recipe. Is there any substitute for eggs?
Hello there, so sorry I didn’t manage to find a substitute for egg yet :(
@@NotATechGuy ok. Thank you for replying
Can i use oil instead of butter?
Yes absolutely! Just replace the same amount of butter as oil. Try to use oil with the least flavour.
I have used canola oil as a butter replacement before.
Thank you!
Is ut k to use corn flour instead of corn starch??
Yup that’s ok!
How many come out of this batter
Hello. Usually I can get 4 waffles (deep pocket) from this batter
How long crispiness will be sustained?
Hello, unfortunately the crispness can only sustain for about 5-10mins.
1 trick of mine is to put it into oven at 150degree C for around 5mins, that should bring back the crispness
Best recipe
Thank you thank you! Your comment gave me motivation :)
can i make batter the night before? does it have an effect?
Hello, yes you can make the batter the night before, but it won’t make any difference in the taste/texture.
And also do take note that don’t keep the batter for more than 2 days. It might go bad.
Wow! Love it!
Thank you so much 😊
If I cook it on the pan, it would be nice and crispy, too??
Hey hello, honestly, this I’m not really sure. Never tried cooking on a pan before. 😅
@@NotATechGuy 😄thanks 😄
Can you please tell me what can be a vegetarian Alternative for eggs?
Hello, I am so sorry that I haven’t found a substitute for the egg :(
