Awesome man thanks for the video. I've always been interested in how companies port these out. Great job. 🤟

Thanks for the comment and the kind words. Most companies like Kong, Jokers, or Boost District, etc have very expensive CNC machines that they build their custom programs into and then the machine does virtually all of the porting. For those of us who don’t have that, we port by hand with smaller tools. It takes much longer for us, but we can also save money by doing it ourselves. If I had the money then I would have used Rick Crawford and gotten one of his LSA blowers.

Im not sure what the bottom of the charger mates to @ 21:43 but if the edge inside the teal gasket isnt required to sit flush I would taper it with some hand sanding. Smoothing those transitions is really key for good airflow in chargers.

Lot’s of sanding and finishing happens in part 3, but I did even more after the videos. I also tapered the area around the bolts that hold the blower down as well.

Did you see any additional hp gains?

This was done when I was changing the engine to a 416ci stroker. So I definitely felt hp gains but I can’t say exactly how much of it specifically was from this. I did a LOT of upgrades along with the new motor which can be seen in videos on the channel.
